The rom versions look old to me. I am not sure this is really anything other than an upgraded radio. Has anyone tried it yet?

Regarding ROM numbering, it seems to be something quite new.
However, filename ends with "...test"... Maybe it is still an internal beta version which leaked!?

first thing you'll notice added is the Wireless Manager Today Plugin, the clock is included in the Date Today plugin, a battery icon at top bard, Wireless Manager is now Comm Manager with different UI
... and one of the nicest addition.. KEYPAD LOCK!
Can this be installed on a Qtek 9000? I have heard nothing about a new ROM release from them so far.

Tried it on my Qtek 9000, but always got the message "ERROR 120: COUNTRY ID ERROR"
Ok, got it!
Extract all files from .exe to one folder with WinZip, and then replace "ROMUpgradeUt.exe" with "MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe" on Unversal ftp Upload folder.
The same as used for the radio upgrades.

it's pretty smooth so far... love the new battery icon on top. Yet to see how faster push email is though...
Hmmm, no Stereo Bluetooth Audio. But no surprises there, really.
Comm Manager is basically the same as my SP5 now, and the battery icon on the TaskBar rather than in the system tray does nothing for me, especially as it means they've had to move the clock onto a today screen plugin...I never have the date plugin visible on my today screen, but I do want to see the time somewhere anyway!!! Anyway, reg hacks will sort that out.....Device lock is probably helpful for those who often use their Uni's in "Tablet/PDA" mode, and it's inclusion brings the Uni into line with other WM5 PDA's now. Oh, and the built in themes have finally been cut down a bit (still 738k, and 695k though!). Storage space is pretty much unchanged, still about 40000Kb after removing Anti-Virus, Skype, and Backgammon.
However the best thing...is it just me, or does my Uni now run at about twice the speed that it was doing?!? Menus, Folders, and Settings screens all open without any delay, Orientation switching is finally bearable, and everything else seems to be whizzing along like you wouldn't Have thought possible.....for now!

Thanks for not including cyberon vc it makes it much easier to get ms vc going.
Everything else seems to work just fine, but voice dialling ain't working (Error opening the short cut). This same happened with lvsw's version (and with Black 3.0).
How do I fix this?

there's a high speed HTTP mirror posted in the forum that the original posters link links to. i'm anti rapidshare, hence me starting up the file hosting thing!
I found another problem, that I never had before When I change anything via control panel Today, then nothing really happend, only after SR.This is odd, because if I want to use SPB products, then I must SR device each time, I make any changes. Till now I did not read or search on forum about this problem (or if somebody actually have same problem as I), I going to flash device again only if problem did not dissapear, then I start looking for answers.
PS: with original LVSW last version this problem was not.

For those of you who want ms vc over headset.
Its probably best to not have the headset paired so unpair it and just add it after all the steps.
1.) Install MS VC 1.6
2.) Install attached .cab
3.) In programs launch BT Voice Command Config
4.) Check enable
5.) Click save
6.) Click Exit
7.) Turn off phone
8.) Turn on phone
9.) Pair bt headset
I take no credit for this program it was done by XCSdM and later modified by ZaJules..
This works perfect for me no other tricks or reg edits zilch, nada, nothing. You might want to set voice command to button 5 though.
Is the x-button works like it should with elf version? I mean does the exclusive click working & what build is in this ROM version? thanks in advance

u can't ..my way of doing it is to uninstall the apps, go to settings/remove programs ..and then install the one here http://rapidshare.com/files/32749891/WLM.rar.html
or another way, is to use sleuth developers variation of this LVSW ROM.. (it is pre-installed with the transparent windows live search bar)

Well,i'm sure many fans have flashed your OS to 6.5 on your herme. Yesterday, new core of 21176 was distributed for HERMS. I'd downloaded it and upgrade my phone's OS. The new core satisfys me,because it runs faster than the of 21159 or 21169. We can use our finger to touch the start menu easily, it slips more fluent than before.Maybe that is because the drive of the new UI has been improved.

Thanks Josh for another Fine piece of "rommery" I dont think I could live without my exchange server though. dont think ive had to resync my contacts, emails etc quite so many times in a week. Admins: Just talked with Microsoft being my profession and this was not sitting good with me since it was missing A. a contact phone number and for these cases it must also contain a Digital Signature with that being said they said it is fraud, I gave them the link here and they verified that they do not have a James Young employ and that the email extension [email protected] is not valid furthermore they said on there notices they will also have a phone number for the person(s) to call and correspondence is done through written. I will be receiving an email with the case number and contact information for the antipiracy case manager who verified the information and will forward it to the Admins here and at PPCGeeks as well. If one one the Admins here can PM there email addy so I can send the email to them for future verification on these types of notices.

i am installed this rom ,its work but no write pad!!
I loaded the rom. works very nicely until i went to reset it using the reset. Now it's all white screen and black screen when i try to boot up any ideas how to fix it?
TAI SW had 6.5 too
try to PM TAI...he had WM6.5 21176 built to. you just have to PM him and he will show the link to get it....
I had it now in my hermes..runs smoothly......
WM 6.5 Features
I have tried Josh's 6.5, and very impressive it is too. One major plus is that it syncs with Vista, with no problems.
However, it seems to me that it is lacking one key feature, that is the ability to dial your favourite contacts by tapping a thumbnail picture of them. This is available in HTC Home, and Manilla 2D, as a tab, but I could not see a similar feature on 6.5.
Has anyone found this facility in 6.5?

DO NOT use the shutdown or reset function given in this build. it'll permanantly screw up your hermes until you do a hard reset. You can't even boot up properly after that...

Hi,
There is ONE vital TWEAK on the TF3D Homepage that I would LOVE.
On the homepage of TF3D you see the Calendar...this only shows up appoints on the very day or tomorrow!
Wanting to donate/pay to any who can tweak this so that...
1. You can select it to show the next 4-6 appointments (depending on screen room) that are coming up - even if they are months away!!
2. Make it able to also show birthdays, anniversaries etc etc
This is like the old Calendar+ program for the old today screens on the old WM 2003 units (yes, dust them off in respect!)
Please tweak!

There are already such themes, check out for example the thememaker thread in this group.
Additionally to that it would be practical to have the clock minimised automatically, so that there would be more place for the calendar entries. (you do know the minimising? swipe upwards from the lower part of the clock)
And of course having tasks visible on the home page again, like in the old calendar+.

Thanks..yeah, I have checked out everything! Looked into that program...great, but does not do this calendar function that I am looking for.
The only feature that I have never seen customisable is this calendar feature...hence my quest for a skilled "tweaker"...
Well maxycy responded to me in the thread, that he has made already a tweak for 4 calendar items.
The problem for me is... that the shear amount of possibilities is taking my breath away and stopping me from installing the program... (well, Im going to flash miri's V23 tomorrow evening anyway, so everything will be started over again).
And I am in no ways computer illiterate, I make my money with high level consulting with a history of programming and project management. It's just... somehow a huge leap to try it. Add to that, that I am constantly on the road and in customer happenings, don't really want to mess my phone up when not at home.

That's odd... Never had any problems with that tweak... and I used it on Topix and Dutty's ROMs. I don't have bg4all installed. Do you by any chance have any other manila tweaks installed, that might conflict with this one?

Hmm... I seem to have the same problem. I installed it first today on my Miri's V18 and worked OK.
Now I just flashed Miri's V23 and it does not show any appointments any more, altho the sync has already run and the appointments are in the calendar, when I open it.

Just installed it on a freshly flashed Topix 2.6.1 and works fine!
i can confirm that the compact homescreen does NOT work on all dutty 6.5 roms, including the R4. However, its working fine on 3.9, and all the Lost in Asia Roms.

I dought it, 'cause first off, there's no official wm6.5 , so how can there be a wm7.0 update, and maybe an 3VO, not even close, unless they stole the rom's name from oOkBa himself.
Ookba created the name of 3VOlution Roms, so i don't see how you could have a 3VO update unless coming from oOkBa.
Every single 6.5 rom running on ppc's or smarphone's are all beta, all of them.
Further more if M$ ever get off their a$$ and release a true official Windows Mobile Rom update for the 6.1 , either a 6.5 or a 7.0, it won't be for the Dash/Excalibur, it will be for a much newer device with a much faster processor and lots more ram. Shoot go ask ookba how hard was for him to get the wm6.5 to work as smooth as it does now on the dash.

I think he's forgetting something, before M$ releases any rom, it will be here, being used by us, as we are the beta testers

I have an official WM 6.5 ROM not yet released for the Maple. To be honest, it sucks. It looks excatly like WM 6.1 that shipped with the Maple with 2-3 extra apps and Windows Skymarkey that doesn't even work yet. No Titanium, nothing worth an upgrade. Lol.
Also, the only HTC devices scheduled for an official WM 6.5 update are the HTC Maple (SNAP, Dash3G), HTC Cedar (Ozone), and HTC Willow (HTC Snap S511).

Well, I don't know about this ... but I definitely will go with Vonrottes post. Maybe it's spam. Also, remember that evo roms doesn't have any windows update features in their rom versions so far...if I can recall. Regarding your screenshots get smartoolkit it has a very simple feature to capture a screenshot in your mobile or google it to find other app in the web.
