Is it possible to remove the crappy themes from wm06, and just use the old blue default theme from wm05/wm03...?
Any WM5 theme is compatible with WM6, so U can install any theme U likes, simply copy the .tsk file in "windows" PDA directory then select the new theme from Start>Setting>Today Appearance tab
Or you can make a folder in My Documents with name My Themes and add there all your .stk...
Yeap, i know that... The only problem is where to find the old one...

i searched trough this forum but did not find a solution for my problem:
i have to generate a .cab file (with OCP-CAb Manager) which can change the todays theme in Windows Mobile 6!.
i found some regkeys are different after changing the todays theme:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Today]
"Skin"="\\windows\\mytheme.tsk"
but when i pack those regkeys (including the *.tsk file) in my .cab file ans "install" this cab the theme is not changed as i want to!
the theme is already on the device (windows directory) and can be changed in settings, but is not activatet automatically (as i want it!)
has anybody a hint (or demofile) how to install AND change a todays theme from a .cab file in the nwe WIndows Mobile 6 ?

You will need to add a setup.dll to your file to do the trick.

1. Extract files to your pc
2. Copy files to your device into any folder (other than \Windows)
3. Go to today settings and disable Tf3D
4. On you device use a program other than file explorer (resco explorer or total commander) and copy the files to the \windows folder
5.restart TF3d

all you need is manila editor (you can do a search for it) and then copy the *_manila files from your /windows folder on your device to your pc. Next start up the manila editor and point it to the folder you copied the *_manila files too. Now you can scroll through every image build into TF3D when you find th eone you want to change just export it as a jpg, png or whatever you like to work with. Change it to any color you like with you favorite editor (i think even paint brush will work for this task). Finally just go back to manila editor and press the replace button on the image you want to replace (the people frame in your case). You can now create a zip file of the image you replaced. Create the zip file and extract it and copy it back to the /windows folder on your device (overwriting the old one) Restart Tf3d and you will see your change

OK many users have asked me to revert changed (skinned) taskbar icons back to the stock XPERIA ones (most taskbar skins are currently uninstallable, but not when the user has over-installed a new CAB or when they are pre-cooked into a ROM)
I have prepared two CABs with all the XPERIA stock files
These CABs will revert all of the taskbar icons to the original stock ones
Choose the proper CAB for Windows Mobile 6.1 or Windows Mobile 6.5

It's the registry...
I've found many differences between 6.1 and 6.5
Still learning how the new OS works
trust me i know too well how tricky the registry in 6.5 is..i've had to reflash about 5times in 2 days because of the damn registry..im currently trying to find a way to change the font in titanium without having to modify the .cpr file..hw's ur surgery coming along

modifying the font ??
1- Get your new font, rename it to tahoma.ttf
make a copy of your font and rename to tahomabd.ttf
2- Open both with font creator (http://www.high-logic.com/fontcreator.html)
Go to Autonaming
3-Change the name of your font to "Tahoma" and "Tahoma Bold" respectively. Save both
4- Copy your "tweaked" tahomas to /windows/ (replace the stock ones) -> reset
Done
PS: I can not test the WM6.5 CAB untill I get my WM6.5 ROM absolutely finished and streamlined to the Sony OEM software package, then I will test

Thanks for making the cab - unfortunately I can't seem to get it to work.
I'm installing it over Jack's Full 3.3 ROM, which has Anx1 Tsowen Taskbar by default.
After installation, the taskbar icons are completely blank, and all the other icons in the start menu, file explorer, etc. are corrupted, eg. folders have the internet explorer icon.
Any ideas for a fix?

This CAB restores the tweaked files only
You can ask ANGELUSZ for the required registry changes (they are just 2 values I guess)
Once you change those registry keys back, all will return to normality

the cab didnt work.. i got the same results as _Robert_ did, all the icons disappeared, and there were just blank spaces.
i tried this fix though, something about using MAX TF3D and restoring the original icons:

Hey so i just installed the WM6.5 icon pack and it all works and all but you recieve the charging symbol even after you unhook the device after charging

great cab, reverted everything except for the volume control on Kisja's WM6.1 Sense 2.5 RC1 rom. Any fix for this?
THIS IS FOR THE XPERIA X1 USER INTERFACE
Manila/TouchFlo/Sense phones use a different, customized phcanOverBMP.dll (which contains the taskbar icons)
So this CAB is not recommended for sense/manila/tOUCH flo devices

PS: If you are using a cooked ROM which includes manila, then ASK THE COOKER, because installing XPERIA STOCK files over MANILA will creatre a MESS of course.

I love the yellow folder icons in some of the new 6.5 roms but there were not enough category folders. So.... I designed my own in Photoshop so that they would totally match the existing icons in the Start Menu.
Install restart app.
Extract and copy the png icons to storage card\Programs\restart\icons folder.
Go to windows\start menu\programs and add new folders such as Web, Travel, Audio, Video, Fun, Utilities, etc etc
Launch restart to change the default folder icons to the new icons.

Hi, does anyone know the name and location of the PNG / pic files to change the top and bottom bar and the windows button, or are these wrapped some how?
they are manilafiles, no png files. you must the manilafiles extracted with cfc gui to png files. it is in every manila other files...

Actually they are png's but it depends on what theme your using because they ussually are tagged. for example my startbutton is called Mikenificent_bubble_flag
Bottombar:
Mikenificent_SKBackground
And topbar:
Mikenificent_Taskbar
So what you could do is look for groups of png's in your windows folder and see if one of those is using bubble_flag.png

They are NOT Manila File they are clear PNG images files and they don`t have special name.. all depends from the Theme if you create your own Bars and your Own theme you can name the Bars whatever you like.. just need to write in the Theme file the names of the bars to know when you choice this theme to use this PNG`s
The PNG files for the top and bottom bar are the same size they must to be
480x52 thats all
For example the easy why to find some Bars you want in your rom.. is for example you like the Bars of the theme Classic Blue.. then go in windows and copy the Clasic Blue.tsk to your SD card and then via Sync download to your desktop pc.
Open this .TSK file with Wince Cab Manager and you will see the whole theme i mean witch files are used for the Bars and witch are used for the Wallpaper if have wallpaper or any other images depends of the Theme.. when you know how are named this files you can extract them
