Its great that you're working on this, I had been planning to make a translation for a while but didn't find the time.
I will happily test for you, I have Hard-SPL installed and already made my own roms. So I don't have a any problems with bad flashes, I know how to handle them.

o2 released the (german) WM6 for the orbit! Would it be helpfull for generating a german WM6 Rom for the trinity?!

I am wanting to unlock my SPV-M5000 but there seems to be no solution available at the moment (well a sim unlock tool at least). And I am impatient of course!
I have heard rumours that TMobile users can call tmobile and get it unlocked for £20.00 but I doubt Orange would do that.
If I took the original JasJar ROM and re-flahed it with that ROM would it become unlocked and allow me to use any SIM ???

Hi there. Just a little comment abouth the said lack of usefulness of french and german versions: at least someone cared to share them and they are and will be useful and valuable to some of the community!! Adhoc

"HTC Scandinavia" (QTEK) will be releasing free WM6 for the TyTN Q3 2007 (i.e. not before July) so if you can't wait for this then translate and cook one yourself. An interesting way to kill time while waiting for the official ROM.

where are the files which must be translated
I've followed the translation of the B&B v4.3 ROM a little bit and as far as I can remember it took about 3-4 weeks, starting with a team of more than 10 people, ending up with about 2-3 (?). It's not easy at all if you haven't done that before. Does any of you guys how to create a package, edit the ROM registry or can you even rebuild a ROM?
If not I'd recommend you not to make such a big fuss about that whole thing. Take the ROM builder from ppc-welt.de that DeepToneFN created. It's based on the German T-Mobile ROM and you can integrate packages in case you have any.
If you really translate the ROM there will be lots of bugs and people will ask you questions about it for weeks. If you have the gutts to do that we'll be happy to see this nice ROM in German!

....i guess you didn't try searching. i just looked and the first one I saw was Schap's WM6 Pro 3.30a.
you can download the spanish version of the ROM here.
just make sure you know what you're doing. maybe you can find a spanish-speaking member here who can help explain how to safely flash roms.
If you can understand some English and you want to be safe to flash new ROM, it is recommended to read MrVann's guide here. It's very helpful. You can find out spanish ROM in that guide as well.

I just want to taste new thing from these wonderful cookers. I'm also a fan of Schaps, but recently he doesn't release any new ROM to fix bugs in beta version. I'm now playing with Faria.R-32 for about 24hrs, and I can personally say this one should be the best adding to a minor bug with Shadow.

Nobody can actually tell you which is the best because it`s all a matter of individual taste and prefference.So start testing and decide which one works for you best.
Already on that tastes nothing written, but you get one of the last roms in the Spanish vere

It is a 5 minute job to change the header....I don't see what all the fuss is about. Learn how to change the setting yourself and then you can try as many ROM's as you like. It really is simple....it has to be if I was able to do it.
Building a ROM to specifically suit the P3600i is a lot more involved....that is why we have only had 2 Chefs able to do it....
Hopefully you will not find Touchflow 2D etc too draining on resources. Personally I prefer the simple ROM's.

A quick search gives you all the information you need.
Look here...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=399827&page=2 at the 2nd part of Post 20.
That allows you to be able to change the header.
As for building your own ROM.....keep reading....I am sure the info is here as long as you have the time to find it and understand it.

Unfortunately it is trial and error. Some work and some don't as you can see if you look at the P3600i Working ROM's thread.
To be honest I am not sure if the Karmba_a ROM will work as I haven't tried it.
I am not sure it`s work for P3600i, from K`s ROM there is BT problem before,so is there anyone test this version BT is OK??
And one thing,this version 5.2.22222 is fake,5.2.20755 that is true version hope that all use 5.2.22222`s ROM maker change to 5.2.20755,

The cab that is under Mr Smiley in the P3600i Working ROM's thread may fix it....if there is a problem.
Until someone tries it no-one will know.
For me...reading the thread....there are too many issues to even bother.
The ROM I currently use is perfect and while Manilla 2D looks good I don't think it is too functional on Trinities with their limited memory.

Once they're finished, I will spend sometime to learn to cook (pizza... oops i meant ROM)... or even convert from P3600 ROM to P3600i ROM
There is a small community out there who've got P3600i like mine. So just wanna help them... For me, it's more interesting to learn something but I wouldn't mind use any ROM. It's a joy that I can cook a ROM that works for my PDA. Hope that I can join the xda crews

I just sent you an e-mail with a link to a file you may want to try out....Karmba_a 11.2 needs more work to crack it as it is in an Executable format and I really don't have the time to play with it at the moment.
