hi,
have you unlock CID?
same here
Hi,
I got the same problem, exactly the same error when i want to flash lvsw rom.
1. I superCID it (twice)
2. I updated using hard-SPL but everytime i get the same error code: 246 device not responding.
I tried reconnecting, resetting, with and without sim, but it all doesn't seem to work.
When I downloaded a shipped rom with GPS enabled, all went well...
Is there some kind of trick involved, or does it just not work for my p3600?
Thanx in advance,
Geert

@ kayzee
if you start hard-SPL and it opens the hard-SPL window, before you click next etc. open up lvsw rom updater and click next etc. in the lvsw updater.
I guess your Trinity thinks its hard-SPL but in fact ur flashing lvsw rom on ur Trinity
edit: please delete this message

same problem same procedure:;
when the first flash fail click exit and (w/o do anything) restart ruUpdate.exe or before do the update push and hold camera button and do a soft reset (holding camera button) when the phon is in "3 colors mode" start the update
The way it worked for me was to flash it while it was up and running as the software send's you into bootloader mode and then let's you flash ok. This way works for me.
I have problem!
After rom upgrade for cid unlock, the process stoped at 80% then phone now is freeze!
When i try to start up it it freeze on sfr logos! I've tried several times to repeat process rom upgrade for cid unlock but soft start qo at 7% an phone restart and same thing with original rom or sfr rom. Nothing to do it's died!
Please help me
have you tried to flash hard spl to your phone first? then try to flash another rom.
if not, follow the instructions here to use splxploit, then flash hard spl, then another rom
That didn't work for me. Does anyone know what to do yet?
Hi,
I have the same problem.
I have followed the indication of this forum:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=293957
1. Transfer SSPL/SSPL-TRIN.exe to your phone and run it
2. Tri-color screen will appear
3. Disable activesync (file -> connection settings -> uncheck "allow USB connections")
4. Connect your phone to your computer using the USB lead.
5. Run RUU/ROMUpgradeUtility.exe
6. Follow the flashing process (Check the "I understand..." and "I completed..." boxes and update!)
7. Allow your phone to reboot.
8. Transfer TRIN_Unlock_v1.exe program to your phone and run it
9. Click the Unlock Button, select unlock option. Select if you want SIM/CID unlock.
10. Click "Unlock!" and wait until process finishes.
11. When done, turn off your phone for 10 seconds and reboot after that.
I hope of to have been useful, I have resolved therefore
d.
Sorry for bothering you,
I had a problem while flashing a Rom. Now my trinity is dead. It only appears the "HTC smart mobility", symbol with some red little numbers at the bottom of the page.
Is there something I still can do my self or should I run to service assistance?
Obviously it doesn't connect to active sync.
Please just give me a hint....
Download the official locked ROM

Thank you so much for your kind assistance.
you really should read more before you try to flash..
the wiki defines all of these terms that you aren't understanding.
manually place in bootloader by holding power button + camera button + soft reset.
You can download hard-spl(makes phone look like CID unlocked, does not void warranty and allows you to flash unsigned ROMs) in Trinity Upgrading forum, and also SuperCID tool (unlocks your phone to use ROMs from any carrier, but voids warranty). SuperCID is unnecessary in my opinion
please follow the upgrade guides on my site if you're confused. For now, Place your device in bootloader, and flash hard-spl, then the ROM of your choice. Follow the hard-spl guide on my site for details and download links.
hope it helps

But I still have a doubt. Because it says "Make sure the activesync icon is be green (finished synchronizing)" . But as I've already said, it seems that my pda doesn't connect at all.
Please, help me. probably I'm close to the solution. Sorry for bothering you!
Anyway I've tried the following:
Downloaded the DES CRASH PROOF SPL.
Connected my Trinity to my pc.
The active sync doesn't extablish a connection. No green light.
Put the PDA in bootloader mode manually
run the spl
After a few clicks, the program on the pc says: ERROR [270] The image file is corrupted. Please check your update utility.
I tried to flash the official WM5 and now it's ok. It works fine with it. Can I try again to flash the unofficial WM6 rom from the forum now?
thanx !

Not too sure what the error message in the green means.
Flashed to the 0.84spl. Could that be the problem? Also, when I try to flash from the sd card it gets stuck on a gray screen saying loading and stuck at 0% when flashing from usb.
The phone does not even get the splash screens or anything, just right to the bootloader.
Any thoughts?
happened to me after a reboot. just took the battery off and put it back in, worked.

I tried that already.
I searched for any info on the error message in the green but couldn't find anything.
Manual hard reset.
Hard Reset (This cannot be performed while the device is connected/charging)
* With the device turned off, press and hold the TALK/SEND and END/HANG UP buttons, then the press and hold the POWER button until you see this message on the screen.
* "This operation will delete all your personal data, and reset all settings to manufacturer default. Press ?VolUp to restore manufacturer default, or press other keys to cancel."
* Release the TALK/SEND, END and POWER buttons.
* Press the VOLUME UP button to perform the hard reset, or press any other button to cancel the reset.
If you have a Telus or Verizon TP2 (Sprint not tested but likely the same), the combination is different.
* Power off the phone using the 'end' key.
* Hold 'volume down' and 'send', the press 'end' till you see blue text. Follow hard reset prompts.

Tried that as well, it goes to the gray loading screen and tells me to reboot but the phone just loads back into the tri-colored screen.
If it was a Hermes or Kaiser I'd be able to help more but, I'm new to the Rhodium myself.
Can you get to the boot screen (tricolor) manually???
IF you can get to the boot screen may try loading one of the stock roms onto it. That MAY NOT work but it might be worth a try.
Hi !
I had this error, too. It happened, because the image i wanted to flash was corrupt and i had to take out the battery to stop the flash. After that the phone showed the mentioned error.
In your case perhaps the data transfer between PC and phone was interrupted for a moment.
I always flash by storage card. This way is much more safer.
Solution : Take out the storage card (if you have one) and copy another image on it. After I had done this could flash again and the error disappeared.

The storage card option may work, just make sure the card is formatted as fat32.

Thats not a bad idea. I have another SD with me that I can format and put another image on it. Now would I try the SPL flash again or just a rom of some sort?
You need to have HardSPL to use the stock AT&T rom, it's a cooked rom for warranty recovery and not from AT&T. AT&T hasn't released a OEM rom for the T2 yet. I'd try one of the other OEM roms.

Yup. I had it HSPL'd already but I have to return it due to a blown speaker. I was worried that they would check the SPL and then I'd be screwed. But I read in the giant SPL thread that the 0.84SPL would work just fine. I'm thinking there is a problem going to a HSPL to a stock one.
I've tried a different card with a different rom and its the same, just stuck saying "loading". I have an idea that I may need to Hard SPL it again due to the fact that I cant flash an official ATT rom yet.
the 0.84 is a stock SPL, you may wanna try the the HardSPL then flash the cooked "stock ROM", then run the relocker in the HardSPL thread to return it to stock.
The instructions are in the AT&T stock ROM thread.
OR just turn it in like it is, tell them you dont know what happened, it was like that when you turned it on this morning. LOL
I bricked my first Hermes 2 days after I got it, took it back to the AT&T store, they had no idea what the boot screen was, and gave me a brand new one.

Haha, I could try that. I know the sales people at the att store I got to are not the brightest around. I'll try the HSPL again although I will have to get another license I think.
See how it says RUUNBH at the top, that's your problem. The RUU flag is set, and the bootloader thinks a nonexistant ROM is being flashed. You won't be able to flash anything, or even do anything, until that is unset.
Now, I remember you could reset the RUU Flag by typing set 16 0, then task 8, then task 0 into MTTY on the Kaiser, but since commands change with SPL versions, you shouldn't run them until you are absolutely sure they are safe, since you CAN brick your device wth MTTY. This is an issue best left to those who know the Rhodium SPL .84 commands, since that's what you need right now.
However, you appear to be on AT&T stock SPL, so unless you have a cooked ROM on the device, you should be able to return it as is.

A successful ROM flash should clear the RUUNBH, but it's often eaiser to do it yourself .

Just send it in. It's standard phone, just tell them it did this when your turned it on .

Thanks for the help guys. It seems like I will just bring it into a store and act like a helpless customer lol. Although, it is tempting to see if I could unset the RUU with MTTY but I know very little about the SPL commands and how to work them.
Request detailed instructions for a newbee
Hi,
I have the exact same problem as the one described above. The only difference being that I bought the phone from Ebay and therefore will not have recourse to official servicing. It is a T-Mobile HTC Touch pro 2. Request if you could provide me with some instructions as to how I can get the phone working once again.
From the little that I read on the site, I tried to connect the phone to MTTY from the computer but I was unable to access the phone from the computer.
I have bought a similar phone for my wife (AT&T Tilt2) so I am worried that I might end up bricking her phone as well.
Thanks in anticipation
Phiroze

after that my DHD went crazy :< and now I can't do anything I cant even unlock it
so any ideas what can I do?
If there was already post like this sorry I couldn't find it.
Hi there,
Okay the process you linked (assuming it went well) should have provided you with a rooted device with S-OFF.
Have you tried rebooting the phone into recovery? Did you download your ROM via ROM manager? At what point did your phone start "going crazy"?
As much information about the issue as possible will help us to help you

Ok, I've been given an Xperia Play by my friend. He said that it didn't work and if I managed to fix it, I could have it. Turns out the battery was faulty so I replaced that and it worked fine. Now that I access it, I find that it has Cyanogen 7 installed.
My question is this. Would it be possible to reset the phone so that it like a new phone (i.e removing Cyanogen and restoring the firmware that came with it)?
Unfortunately, my friend didn't keep backups so i'm stuck with that I've got. I'm not that bothered if it has to remain rooted but can anything be done with the firmware?

Yeah course you can revert to stock firmware, all you have to do is find your rom for your phone, seeing as how r800i (Europe) is the most popular i'll go with that...
1. http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1313505
Download the latest official rom from that link extract the .ftf from the .rar, this is the ftf file for .42
2. Then install flashtool http://androxyde.github.com/Flashtool/
3. Put the .ftf file in the firmware folder of the extracted flashtool program
4. Run the flashtool program select the .42 firmware from FLASH button, check wipe user data, Turn of the phone, hold back button, plug in usb to computer, wait till it goes green and run flashtool
5. Wait till it finishes, turn phone on, wait... wait... done!!
Or....
Connect phone to Sony Update Service, click repair and select phone type, it will revert to newest firmware

I followed that but it still comes up with it's been modified.
My friend said that he modified the bootrom. Could that be a possible reason why it's doing this? In the mean time, i'll try your first suggestion.
As long as you don't connect the phone until the repair screen starts you shouldn't have a problem. Just do my first suggestion

Thanks. The first one worked! Looks like everything went back to stock, although it's saying it needs updating when it's at the newest version. I'll see if I can sort that out later.
Yeah its a bug. Its fine though.

hey, just wondering if you have sorted the "Update now" problem?
This is rooting script only for ASUS Zenfone 5 (T00F/T00J) with official WW-2.22.40.54 (4.4.2) firmware.
Upgrading will unroot your phone.
If you want to have rooted lollipop, find another rooting solution.
8. April 2017 note: I don't use anymore this phone and I can't help with questions. Rooting method should still works. Sorry for the inconvenience.
If this rooting solution doesn't work, probably you're doing some wrong. There's several thousand people (or more) from around the world which successfully rooted and fixed theirs phones. If you have any questions or problem - please read first whole thread. I'm trying answer all questions and I place the most popular in first post.
Rooting script
Read manual
Download rooting script
I want to share my work. I created github repository - feel free to fork etc.

Older version of firmware
Do you have older version of firmware? Update it and apply rooting script.
Download official firmware (select android -> firmware, and search site with phrase WW_2.22.40.54)
Newer version of firmware
I actually doesn't like lollipop and I don't provide any support for rooting newer android. Probably there are available other solutions. At this moment the 2.22.40.54 version is the newest kitkat for Asus Zenfone 5.
"No camera is found" bug
Do you have "no camera is found" problem? This script fixes this. I spend few long days to fixing "no camera is found" bug after applying shakalacka's rooting script. And I GOT IT! I mixed shakalaca and Vipin Arumugham solutions. Thank you guys!
How update firmware by sideload method?
Boot your phone to recovery mode.
When "No command" message appears, press and hold down volume button, and press once (still holding down volume) up volume button. You are now in recovery menu.
Select apply update from ADB.
Connect phone by USB cable to your computer.
Run from terminal: adb sideload new-firmware.zip
Note: you can sideload only firmware with the same or higher version. Firmware can be downgraded too, but this is little more complicated.
Unroot
Eh, really? Why do you want to unroot your phone? Use sideload method to apply firmware again (yes, with the same version). This will format your /system partition and install whole android system again.
Thanks for every mentioned person! Your comments, messages and other help is really great!

I suggest update to 2.22.40.54 first. You can download this from official website. After update, you can safely use my solution.

i'll download the firmware. one more question, do i have to boot the phone to droidbot for applying this method?
Yes, you need reboot to bootloader.
If you're on linux, just run .sh script and it will do everything for you. There's manual for other system.
Hi, thank you for this solution..
there's a chance that it could work also with 2.21.40.44? I think that most most people with this problem has the same firmware...

The reason is that with the previous root... you are not able to upgrade
Just tried this morning :good: :good:
With the old root tool you are not able to:
-make an hard reset
-upgrade to the new firmware
if you try comes out an error...

First, sideload firmware 2.22.40.54 (long process).
Second, do the basic setup after your phone turns on (unlock dev options, turn on usb debugging).
Third, turn off and go to bootloader (droidbot), do all the things in manual.
Finally, you are golden.
I'm glad I could help. Have a nice day.
I can't access to sideload! (T00J) when i click on recovery appears the robot with a red !
i've tried with holding volume + and start button but nothing happens... :crying::crying::crying:

how to unroot?
What should I do if one day I want to unroot the z5?
Hi there,
The phone is rooted.
I've proceeded with the latest update today (~12mb size), don't remember the exact version.
It said it fixes some system bugs, etc.
After the update installed the phone won't load, stucks on the changing color logo.
Cannot access the recovery mode option in the boot menu (Vol+Power), says "no command", if press and hold Vol+ and Power again the phone restarts and enter the boot logo again.
Has anyone ideas how this can be fixed?

See http://forum.xda-developers.com/elephone-p8000/help/boot-loop-ota-upgrade-t3246203.
Post #16 describes how get into recovery from the 'no command' screen, and my post #12 describes how I managed to get it flashed using the SP Flashtool.
(Note my point no,5 - all I needed to do is press 'Download' first, THEN attach the powered off phone.)
Good luck!

Thanks a lot fot pointing this out.
Managed to get the recovery options menu.
However wiping the cache didn't help.
After doing the "root integrity check" got this:

do you think this can be fixed w/o reflashing an entire rom?
Oooh. Brighter minds than mine might correct me, but I think the bootloop is only fixed with a ROM flash

Actually, what you need to do is format the data partition or write the empty data.img file over the data partition which in effect does the same thing. And the later one is also what happens when your download entire rom using sp flash.

In that case you probably need to flash the system.img and maybe even the boot.img from the latest rom. Elephone really should stop sending out these broken OTAs...

I didn't read official forum. However you do loose your warranty if device is rooted, thus the device manufacturer owes you nothing. OTA worked fine before I rooted my device.
Btw, I got my phone back to life by re-flashing the entire ROM, just in case.

The only thing you need to do is reinstall the añl the system with spflashtool. Never and remember never you can update any android with a ota if you are a rooted user.
If you speak spanish you can search in the youtube channel AndroidMxL to ser how you can reinstall the original ROM on your android.
