To all friends from GREECE. GREEK ROM for ALL Universals...

Greetings to everybody...
I managed to find a way to install the fully translated GREEK firmware on a Universal (or Qtek-9000 or MDA-PRO or JASJAR or iMate or XDA EXEC or whatever you call it...) and i think this will help a lot of people besides me.
This is ONLY for people in Greece (or from Greece) that want - need a totally localised (Greek) environment for their Universal, but cannot have it if they bought the device outside Greece.
The local distributor locks the firmware (IMEI lock) so it can only work on devices sold by them.
Please remember this has nothing to do with SIM Lock. If your device is SimLocked this will NOT help you.
Do not try it if you cannot read Greek (in that case it is useless to you anyway).

Download - find the Greek firmware: UNI_QTEK_WWE_13077_130176_10900_WWE_Ship_GR2.0.1.exe (full AKU2 and A2DP support)
This is the latest version from Greece (and it only works with this version).

Read carefully the redme.txt inside and follow instructions.
Enjoy a full Greek Windows Mobile 5 device.

I read your manual, and as I understand you did the following,
1) Removed autorestart after customization
2) You have to apply what seems like a full restore created by spb backup which contains I guess new files and registry entries.
Am I correct? Do you mind sharing which files and what registry keys where changed?

The Greeks need for sure something else too
For those ho don't have Qtek 9000, it would be very usefull to have the Greek Phone Pad and Greek Smart Dialing.
With the Rom, they locked also these two Apps.
Now i think it is possible someway to take them, so anyone ho don't have the Qtek 9000, or ho have another ppc, is able to use greek phone pad and smart dialing.
Can somone do this please????

Προυποθέτω οτι ξέρεις να αναβαθμίζεις το Qtek βάζοντάς το σε Bootloader mode...
Προσοχή στα παρακάτω:
Αποσυμπιέζεις το firmware (με το winrar η το winzip) σε ένα φάκελο. Πάντα μιλάμε για το UNI_QTEK_WWE_13077_130176_10900_WWE_Ship_GR2.0.1.exe και κανένα άλλο.
Στον ίδιο φάκελο αποσυμπιέζεις το αρχείο που σου στέλνω, ώστε να αντικατασταθούν το MS_NBF (extended rom) και το RUU.CONF με αυτά που υπάρχουν στο συνημένο αρχείο. ΠΡΟΣΟΧΗ να αντικατασταθούν οπωσδήποτε.
Για την αναβάθμιση τρέχεις το MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe και όχι το ROMUpgradeUt.exe.
Αν έχεις ήδη Radio version 1.09, μπορείς απλά να σβήσεις το radio_.nbf (που καθυστερεί να γραφτεί) χωρίς πρόβλημα ώστε να γραφτούν μόνο τα άλλα 2 (ms_nbf και nk.nbf) χωρίς να περιμένεις 1 ώρα.
Η εμπειρία μου έδειξε οτι μετά το πρώτο NEXT στο MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe (μετά που δείχνει την version των αρχείων που θα γράψεις) ΠΡΕΠΕΙ ΝΑ ΠΕΡΙΜΕΝΕΙΣ 5-10 ΔΕΥΤΕΡΟΛΕΠΤΑ και μετά να πατήσεις το UPGRADE.
Όταν τελειώσει η αναβάβμιση, βγάζεις το USB, και κάνεις Hard-Reset.
Όταν ανοίξει το τηλέφωνο και τελειώσεις το Screen Calibration, ανοίγει το desktop σε Αγγλικά.
ΔΕΝ ρυθμίζεις τίποτα άλλο.
Γράφεις το backup_gr.exe στην SD καρτούλα σου, και το τρέχεις απο τον File Explorer του Qtek. Μπορείς να το γράψεις και μέσω Activesync ρίχνοντάς το στο Qtek απο τον Explorer του PC.
Η μοναδική διαφορά του ms_.nbf που σου δίνω είναι οτι μετά το "flashing - hard reset - customisation" ΔΕΝ κάνει reboot αυτόματα (και δεν πρέπει να κάνεις).
Το backup αρχείο είναι ένα πλήρες backup του Qtek me to SPBbackup, που πήρα ακριβώς πρίν κάνω Reset και αφού άλλαξα αυτά που έπρεπε να αλλάξω.
Αφού τελειώσει το restore, το SPBbackup κάνει αυτόματα επανεκκίνηση. Η αλλαγή απο Αγγλικό σε Ελληνικό περιβάλλον γίνεται σε αυτή την επανεκκίνηση. (το Qtek θα επαννεκινήσει 2 φορές απανωτά, αυτό είναι OK).
Μετά που θα ανοίξει πάλι, είσαι σε Ελληνικό περιβάλλον.
Απο εκεί και πέρα κάνεις ότι θέλεις.

Σε παρακαλω εαν σου ειναι ευκολο , μου θυμίζεις πως κανουμε upgrade se bootloader μορφή. Οσες φορες εχω κανει upgrade τις εχω κανει με τον συνηθισμένο τροπο. Συγνωμη αν σε ζαλίζω ... Α και κατι αλλο , θα πρεπει να αντικαταστήσω τα αρχεια με αυτα που βρισκονται στο GR.zip ?

Επίσης, αν είναι δυνατόν θα μπορούσαμε να ξέρουμε αν μετά τη μετατροπή σε ελληνικό περιβάλλον η επαναφορά με restore από κάποιο backup (πχ sprite backup) είναι εφικτή ή θα πρέπει να τα περάσουμε όλα από την αρχή???

There is a small issue with the greek rom after updating my imate jasjar with this one. I ve noticed that I cannot receive any multimedia messages (mms) with the above mentioned rom ( although is says that the message has been sent). I have flashed my jasjar twice with this rom folowing the procedure and i have the same issue. So I went back to my imate rom and everything is ok now. I dont know why.
Does anybody else have the same problem?

GREEK ROM for ALL Universals, All working (Updated GR v2.09)

Greetings again to everybody (and sorry guys, but between work and family there is NO time left for hobbies)...
New Update for the Greek firmware. Version WWE_13077_130176_10900 Greek Version 2.0.9...
Download the Greek firmware from the Xda Upload server.

This is the last version (28/07/2006) from Qtek-Hellas.
It is a full set of all necessary files (the original firmware and a modified Extended Rom to make the upgrade easy for all users) so download the GREEK_WWE_13077_130176_10900_GR2.0.9.exe and extract it to a folder.
Put your Universal in BootLoader mode, connect USB cable, and run MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe.
Remember to wait 10 seconds before pushing the "Upgrade" button in the second screen, and wait for the update to finish. Hard reset the device, and once on, calibrate your screen, let it run the customisation.
Your device should reboot twice, this is normal.
IMPORTANT:
I found out that the "Missing MMS menu" bug was there in all my attempts, if i did NOT have a SIM card inserted.
All was solved after i inserted a Cosmote prepaid SIM in the phone (stupid but true...). So, leave the SIM card in the phone and do the upgrade...
WARNING:
To overcome the IMEI-LOCK the modified Extended rom has to disable a security setting (the device will stop warning you about Untrusted applications). So, be carefull what you install from now-on...
If anyone has full access on the ftp server, please upload the firmware in the normal Universal folder (upload folders get deleted often)...

Παιδιά ευχαριστούμε πολύ για τις προσπάθειες σας αλλά παρά τις σαφείς οδηγίες εξακολουθεί να υπάρχει πρόβλημα, αφού τώρα ο λογαριασμός των mms έχει εξαφανιστεί από τον φάκελλο των μυνημάτων. Ευελπιστώ ότι θα διορθωθεί. Και πάλι σας ευχαριστώ.

Θα σου προτεινα να μεταφερεις το νεο ΖΙP αρχειο στη καρτα σου, να το κανεις extract απο εκει και μετα να τρεχεις τα 2 αρχειακια με τη σωστη σειρα.Με την τελευταια εκδοση των αρχειων η αποστολη και η ληψη των MMS,η οποια ηταν και το μονο προβλημα,λειτουργει κανονικοτατα.

Ωραία, ευχαριστώ, εγώ έκανα μεταφορά copy-paste στην κάρτα αφού τα
έκανα extract από το νέο zip στο pc και τα έτρεξα με την σωστή σειρά μετά το hard reset. το έκανα μάλιστα 2 φορές και δεν δούλεψε. Τώρα αν θα πρέπει να κάνεις extract το νέο zip στην κάρτα και να τα τρέξεις από εκεί οι οδηγίες δεν λένε κάτι τέτοιο.
«γράψτε τα αρχεία "cert.cab" και "Gr_new.cab" απο το PC στην SD καρτούλα σας (μπορείτε να τα γράψετε και μέσω Activesync μετά την αναβάθμιση ρίχνοντάς τα στο Qtek απο τον Explorer του PC) και τα τρέχετε απο τον File Explorer του Qtek. Πρώτα το "Cert.cab" και μετά το "Gr_new.cab" (Η ΣΕΙΡΑ ΕΙΝΑΙ ΠΟΛΥ ΣΗΜΑΝΤΙΚΗ)»

Παιδιά εμένα δεν μου δουλεύουν τα mms με τίποτα, τι και αν έκανα έβαλα το νέο zip στην καρτούλα και έκανα extract τα caps από εκεί τρέχοντας τα μετά με την σωστή σειρά, τι και αν τα έκανα copy - paste τα caps μέσω active sync κατευθείαν στην καρτούλλα αλλά τίποτα. Παρατήρησα ότι μετά το hard reset και μετά το calibration screen όταν ανοίγει το αγγλικό μενού ο λογαριασμός των mms υπάρχει κανονικά αλλά μετά που τρέχω τα caps ο λογαριασμός των mms ξαφανίζεται
Βρε παιδιά μήπως τα caps που αναβάσεται δεν είναι τα σωστά, δεν νομίζω να κάνω λάθος έχω δοκιμάσει τα πάντα. Ας επιβεωβαιώσει και κάποιο άλλο παιδί που έχει δοκιμάσει το πιο πάνω νέο zip και του δούλεψε.

Δεν ξέρω αν έχει διαφορά, κάθε φορά που το τέσταρα (και το δοκίμασα αρκετές φορές) η sim (Cosmote) ηταν μέσα στο τηλέφωνο.
Νέο flash τη rom με αλλαγμένο το extended rom, η μόνο HARD RESET τις επόμενες φορές, πέρασμα τα 2 cabακια με τη σειρά και όλα καλά.

Λυπάμαι που θα σας στεναχωρήσω, αλλά ούτε σε μένα δούλεψε (κατ'ακρίβειαν χάθηκε πλήρως ο λ/μος των MMS). Όταν δε πήγα να βάλω από πάνω και το backup που είχα κρατήσει, δεν έβρισκε καν τη vodafone. Δεν πειράζει, ζούμε και χωρίς MMS.

τα 2 cabακια έχουν σίγουρα πρόβλημα και δεν δουλεύουν, θυσιάζουμε τα mms στον βομό της ελληνικής ρόμ

I have a problem after rom upgrade i install cert.cab but when i try to install gr_208.cab i get installation of gr_208.cab was unsuccessful.Is there a way to correct this problem?thanks

Assume they are in greek, but on my pc they come up all scrambled...

Μετα που αναβαθμισα το Qtek 9000 μετ το τελευταιο 2.0.9gr Rom, ολα πανε καλα εκτος τιν λειτουργεια τουT9Greek, ομος μπενοντας στην σελιδα της Qtek Hellas, παρατιρισα οτι θα επρεπε να δουλευει. Μιπος κρειαζεται καποια ρυθμιση ή κατι δεν εκανα σοστα;
Δεν γνωριζω εαν υπαρχει καποιο πραγραμα που μπορει να ενργοποιησει την επιλογη λεκσιων οταν κρεισιμοποιουμεν το πλυκτρολογιο ενσοματομενο. εκτος Interkey pro που δουλευει μονο με τον δικο του πλιικτρολογιο on screen.
Ειμαι ακαριος ακομα και κρειαζομαι εκπαιδευση.

Actually, don't expect anyone to help you because nothing makes sense from the automatic translator Greek --> English that you have used.

παιδια βοηθεια χαθηκε το ClockworkMod Recovery κ δεν μπορω να του κανω τιποτα ουτε να περασω κατι ,του περναω με το Android Flasher_1.5.5 το recovery-clockwork-2.5.0.7-bravo αλλα δεν το παιρνει τη πρεπει να κανω ???τελικα ομως το εχω κανει παλι s-on σας παρακαλω βοηθεια...
α και κατι που ξεχασα μονο σε bootloader ανοιγει και android system recovery αλλα δεν παιρνει τιποτα γιατρο βγαζει σφαλμα υπογραφης συνεχεια..

HTC One X camera error

Πρόσφατα και χωρίς κανένα λόγο σταμάτησε να λειτουργεί η κάμερα. Συγκεκριμένα κάθε φορά που πατάς το εικονίδιο της κάμερας, από οποιαδήποτε θέση, είτε από την επιφάνεια οθόνης είτε από το κύριο μενού εμφανίζεται η οθόνη της κάμερας η οποία όμως παραμένει μαύρη χωρίς να δέχεται κάποιο πλήκτρο επιλογής. Στην συνέχεια και μετά από μερικά δευτερόλεπτα, εμφανίζεται ένα μήνυμα "αδυναμία έναρξης κάμερας" και σε επαναφέρει στην κύρια οθόνη. Το τηλέφωνο φέρει την αρχική του official έκδοση 4.2.2 και δεν έχει ρουταριστεί πότε. Αν μπορεί κάποιος ας προτείνει κάτι πριν χρειαστεί να πάω στην αντιπροσωπία. Ευχαριστώ

I've done a quick Google Translate for you.
Recently and for no reason stopped working the camera . Specifically whenever you press the camera icon from any location , either from the surface or screen from the main menu screen displays the camera but which remains black without receiving a selection key . Then after a few seconds , a message "can not start camera " and back to the main screen . The phone carries the original official version 4.2.2 and not routaristei when. If someone can let us suggest something before you have to go to the dealer. thanks
