Hi all
My first post as a new MDA PRO owner HTC universal if I am not mistaken.
My question is that I am with Vodafone UK and am tying to flash my device with their latest ROM downloaded from their site.
I keep on getting the following message from the setup program i.e. "ERROR 120 COUNTRY CODE ERROR" 38-38-44-44-44.
What am I doing wrong as I thought these machines were all the same! Or is it just an attempt by Vodafone to stop me from putting their ROM on a Tmobile phone. If it is is there a work around?

There are 2 ways to get it working.
1. Use MaUpgradeNoID Utility
2. Change some parameters with BAL666's HTC64 Tool
If you search the forum you should normally be able to find a manual for this.
If not, do not hesitate to use the Wiki:

As I am new to this I think must be missing something as I have tried using MAUpgradeUT_NoID with no luck. I have also seen on the threads here about MAUpgradeUT_NoID_886 but cant find a download link for it.
If someone could give me a real idiots guide would be most grateful.

If you know something about computers, then try to reset the parameters. this was working for me! the NoID.exe doesn't look for these parameters, but that doesn't worked out for me.

To be honest, I'll spend most of my time in the REPORT ISSUES thread but please don't clutter that thread. I will check in here from time to time.

I discover that, after upgrading radio to 1.35 (GPS enable), if u put the GPS drivers

As GPS is not currently widely avaliable I will not be spending time on it.

They forgive, but after all already hard is corrected with hard reset
I don't remember WM5 having this but yes apparently with WM6 you can increase Free Storage Memory by stripping out files.
I noticed this when after I embedded Adobe Acrobat. That is why I released two Roms. I actually flashed an older (RTM) WM6 Rom which had an insane amout of Free Storage Memory, like 62mb but there were no office files and I didn't bother looking into that else was missing...
Still planning on a clean Rom. I want to let this one run for a few days first to see if I broke anything new in it . The Beta team didn't find anything major or new but we only ran on it for a few days so that you guys could get your hands on it.

For some reason It will not let me flash my T-Mobile UK Vario2 to your 0.20.
The program detects my current ROM, then when I click "Update" it says "Verifying the information on your Hermes" for around 30 seconds. After that an error prompt saying "Error 260 : Update Error"....
Any Ideas?

Resolved, needed to remove security pin. May be useful for other users to do the same who have problems...
for those who are interested I have uploaded the Australian 3 extended rom for installation after WM6 installation, plus the cab file for set up of other networks- Dopod D810 only.

you need to unlock the extended rom but that is already unlocked on WM6 versions- i have LVSW wm6 rom installed and it works great.
i will try and upload it somewhere else.....

Hi Thanks for the reply please go easy on my noobness but I am not sure by what you mean??
I mean I extracted the extended rom and went in and excecuted the file in that folder --- I then get a question asking me on my trinity if I want to allow a program (enterbootloader.exe) to execute and then it drops out and the flash screen comes up on the trinity but the flash program on the computer says it has an error comunicating with the device and only finishes with the exit option - however no flash takes place
I get the same with the ax3l rom can anyone help? I think i'm missing some basic ideas here
Maybe i should start a new thread --- but any help would be great

Sorry, I haven't looked at how to actually use it, just figured I would host it to save people trying to get it off rapidshare.
I haven't upgraded to WM6 as yet (hoping the official release will be soon so I don't void my warranty).

hehe- keep waiting mate- gave up waiting a month or 2 ago and am so glad i did. i figure if anything goes wrong with it i will flash it back to the old rom. I am now using Ax3l's ROM and its great.
to make the files work just click on them and they will install each relevant piece of information.

Copy the "CWW Enterprises AUS Operator Con" file onto the pda and then run it.
What do you do with the rar file - "Aust 3 ext rom"?? Unzip it and transfer the contents onto the pda (12 odd cab files)?? And what about the exe files in there and the ExtROM.rar file (also in the Aust 3 ext rom rar file).

Hi I am just wondering something, I have the cab files and am playing around with them, but I really only want one thing from them, and that is the access to my 3 ------ everyone with 3 Australia knows what i'm talking about--- anyway, I am using LSVW windows rom and it nice -- much nicer than the default that came with my dopod/trinity --- but I can't check my account now because the icon is gone -- obviously
but I am guessing it is only a small file or something can anyone help me get my three icon back ---- also can anyone give us a quick break down on what the cabs do and the information of why we would want to install the extended rom??

search for the cab file, CWW Enterprises AUS Operator Con. Run it and it will setup a access point thingie for 3.
then open your ineternet explorer and type the address three.net.au, go to that page then you will be able to find My3
YOu dont even need the CWW Enterprises AUS Operator Con cab file if you already have the 3 services setup on your phone which can be done manually if it is not already there. You can checkout hte three website or call 3care and ask someone to help you set it up.
aaah the CWW file is the 2nd file in the OP

Yeah, I installed the CWW Enterprises AUS Operator Con, and ran it, then chose 3, but I am getting an access prohibited error when I connect to three.net.au
Am i supposed to install all the three rom? or is it just that cab --- remember that all i want is to access my three

Hi Just an update --- I installed all of the extended cabs ---- I was still getting the problems with access being denied however It was MEEEEEEEEE I was trying to connect via my wireless connection not GPRS

As you know, I come from the Mogul world. But, I just got a Vogue (upgrade pricing). Trying to decide whether to keep it. I am sure that this ROM will make that decision more difficult. (Btw, any thoughts you have on Vogue vs. Mogul, feel free to tell me - on here or PM).

EDIT: Forgot to tell you, I am writing this post on my DCD 3.2.0 Mogul over 6.1's version of ICS. VERY fast (I was running tests on ICS vs. Wireless Modem app (from TalynOne))

Hey Guys noobie here, but i have been following some for a while. with this can i just run it straight? i have no mods on my touch, just original sprint rom. do i need to unlock it still or anything? and i have a windows 2000 system at work, will this cause any problems with the install?
just run the exe and follow the instructions. requires no unlocking, etc.

I'm guessing its gonna require tweaks, regedit and all that sort of things?
does the GPS still need to be primed with a program like AstroGPSLauncher for TomTom, iGuidance, or iGO?
Strange thing is, no Ext Rom.
Nevermind all the old stuff in the rom, only thing updated I would say is some of the OEM Drivers, everything else has been floating around the forums for months.

There are numerous options. But first you need to put HardSPL on your device. The only method that worked with my AT&T 8525 was the SD card method.

Infrared Should work on your device as is. You may just need to enable receiving of files.
I'm sure all of your answers are buried somewhere here on the site. There is tons of information here. There is a search feature at the top brown bar that will search the entire site using google. It will help you find all sorts of stuff
