Hi!
I have an M2000, and I would appreciate if anyone could explain to me how to trigger the VPN client. I also don't understand how to manage the 'work' and 'internet' connections and how it relates to:
a) the applications: activesync, explorer, inbox
b) connection manager and the 'My work network'
Can anyone explain it to me? I have managed to synchronize my mobile with my PC using my local network, but I really wanted to use VPN to sync from work. I have followed the visual tutorial available on the net, but still it does not call the VPN server.
Finally! I managed to connect my M2000 to my home PC using a VPN connection and sync both machines. It's just great!
I still think that connection manager is confusing, and that people at Microsoft could have made it much easier.

I've got a diamond of SFR pack of france. i didn't find windows live programs so i tried many cabs i can found (include 10.6.39, 10.6.34 and 10.6.32 on this site). but, unfortunately, none of them works on my phone. (windows live works stucks/verylow cannot sign in and messenger cannot start)
the only one who works is the official 10.6.0040 with i downloaded on mobile.microsoft.com, but it doesn't have a messenger in it.
what should i do? flash another rom or who can give me a cab which can works on a SFR packed Diamond.

Some additional infos:
the version 10.6.34 works fin on my HTC P3600. i've tried it and messenger get connected with USB Cable.

Same thing for me it don't work on SFR network
it try to install WindowsLive.PocketPC_50_arm.cab but it don't work too

SFR uses a proxy? Disable it. Try setting up an internet connection just by APN.
I have the same issue with Vodafone. Just uncheck 'this connection uses a proxyserver'.
Be sure though, that there are not going to come more data-costs!
Here, the only disadvantage is that vodafone LIVE is not working without the proxy ... but ... whatever
hi, i've tried wifi and usb, it doesn't work. the problem is Windows Live can't be started. so i flashed the 1.93.456 WWE rom. it has a 10.6.0039 version of windows live, i tried it, works on usb.
but this rom doesn't have a AGPS settings (but we can enabled it by Advanced Config software), and has a QuickGPS.
i already try the 10.6.0039 version of windows live

Go to start>settings>connections>open connections>click on <set up my proxy server>and uncheck <This network uses a proxy server to connect to the internet

SFR sucks when it's about Windows Live, this module is deleted from Windows mobile for EVERＹ PHONE they sell. Maybe because of the cooperation between Windows Live and Orange, maybe they just want you to pay more to get the service.
Wifi should work with messenger i think
I can share my two cents about that matter.
SFR deliberatly block the TCP ports used by the MSN protocol and also the SMTP and POP3 ports (and maybe others I'm not aware of) in the wapsfr gateway to force us to use their own applications. One java app to do MSN chat (available on the wap site for the phones recognized by the wap gateway) but each message sent is billed (I don't rmember how much).
The only way to use these apps via GPRS/UMTS network is to subscribe the SFR WEB option and connect using the "web SFR" network.
Yeah, you can't use msn with wap. What you can do is using their own application, messenger by sfr. I must admit It's just bull****, but it works.

i am a bit confused - i can't connect my rhodium to my exchange through the internet!
i thought i have done al the settings correctly - my iphone had NO problems at all - but i cant connect to the exchange...
WLAN works fine, but what am i missing with the VPN?
i am using the same settings as in my iphone...

Well, I have the same problem too. I did also tried to work out with my Exchange Admin. He said so far only iphone VPN work BUT not the WINMO. I guess microsoft need to improvement.
Exchange exposed to Internet?
Is your Exchange system exposed to the Internet? Can you access an Outlook Web Access system from the Internet?
Make sure you selected SSL and have pointed to the correct exposed address.
Most likely cause is default proxy, check your connection settings and remove that tick that states use this proxy server for the GPRS connection.
I bought the NEW Hd2 . before it I had six other PPC they were working fine. But now with this precious instrument I'm very frustrated.
A. The SKYPE SHOWS All my friends but not connecting to the network for cheting. EVEN calling by dialing is impossible.
B. I wanted to install the BACKUP software from MARKET PLACE But the LIVE or HOTMAIL and they both work fine on the PC they do not accept my username and password on HD2 and I get an error as if thare is no connection.
PS I do receive and send mails without ani problem connecting by 3G DATA and or WIFI.
What can I do to make use my new device and enjoy it?

You should maybe post in the HD2 "Leo" forum where other HD2 users maybe able to help you.
so my service provider needs me to use a proxy for data. Basically traffic is allowed only on one port and bcoz of that I'm not able to use any application on Android except the browser.
But on Windows mobile I used to get Google maps, Facebook, Opera mini browser work under proxy but it does not work under Android
does Android use different port for applications??
