If you have waited until the May 4th release; and updated, please post the Radio & ROM version that is listed in the system info area in the settings folder. I'm just asking because I find it STRANGE that in the final version you would have to edit the Reg to enable voice command for bluetooth, and a few other system problems.
Thanks
My HTC S710 Vox has Windows Mobile 6 Standard CE OS 5.2.1235(Build 17740.0.2.0)
Radio version 4.1.13.37_02.83.90
RIL Version 2.002
Dash Windows Mobile 6 Standard CE OS 5.2.1236 (Build 17741.0.2.1)
Radio Version 4.1.13.34_02.79.90
RIL Version 2.002
I know they're 2 different devices but figured I'd post the info of the Build and Radio version.
I think we have the final build, but we'll only know for sure tomorrow.
I don't have to edit the registry to use voice command with this build. I just hold down the home button and it works.

Hello
I had a few questiosn regarding the rom version, radio version, protocol version and extROM version
does the Radio version contain the UMTS & GPRS radio acccess stuff which would mean that it contains the umts/gprs protocols, in that case what does the protocol version contain.
i guess the rom version contains the updated version of windows mobile 5.0 with new bells and whistles thrown in , or the last windows os improved?
wha tis the extROM version?
os there any way to update the bluetooth & wifi functionality, would that be a part of the ROM version?
utms and even edge is a 100% different frequience thing
so a device cant with software be changed to support it more
then it can be changed to recieve tv or hdtv or alien radio broadcast
wm2005 for devices which was not made for wm2005 are leaked beta versions which will never be released because wm2005 devices use flash to save data not ram like wm2003 devices
the flash they have is slower
and the roms are not optimised
bluetooth is a part of the rom but ppl can use other bluetooth stacks if they start out with ms bluetooth stack they can change it to broadcoms
wifi is a mix of wifi drivers which depend of if wifi was a part of the device or a addon sdio card
plus the wifi access software which you yourself can upgrade
thanks for the reply
what does upgrading the radio version do?
and upgrading the protocol version do?
do the two upgrade the gsm functionality??
i have got the XDA Exec, does it use WM2005 or WM2003, i guess the windows CE 2003 is ce4.0 based and the windows mobile 2005 is ce5.0 based, correct?
hello!
i'm reading threw the forum since 10am 8 hours now and i didn't found how to solve my problem. (excuse my english when it is not good)
i have following configurations: (2 PDAs) from T-Mobile Austria Qtek 110? S110? On the box stands MDA compact II
1. PDA
ROM version: 1.12.2.23 WWE
ROM date: 11/14/05
Radio version: 01.12.20
Protocol version: 4.0.13.23
ExtROM version: 1.12.02.110
MS Windows Mobile 5.0 OS 5.1.70(Build 14409.1.1.2)
MIDletManager from Tao Group Limited
Runtime JTWI 1.0: v10.1.7.658 (Build 20051014)
2. PDA
ROM version: 2.6.2.27 WWE
ROM date: 3/9/06
Radio version: 02.19.21
Protocol version: 4.1.13.09
ExtROM version: 2.6.2.110
MS Windows Mobile 5.0 OS 5.1.195(Build 14847.2.0.0)
MIDletManager from Tao Group Limited
Runtime JTWI 1.0: v10.1.7.666 (Build 20051117)
I explane you my problem and why i need your help:
I have a software running in the MIDletManager which is running without any problems on the 1. PDA.
When I trie the software on the new 2. PDA the program works, but it does not work like at the 1. PDA (the program is graphically personated in a other way, and the MIDletManager has a other look and a other way in which he works).
That is my problem because the software has to look, work and run like on the 1. PDA
Is there a way to downgrade the MIDletManager? Or do i have to downgrade the 2. PDA? How can i downgrade the PDA? Which programs do i need? How do i flash the ROM if i want to downgrade? Is it possible to downgrade? questions questions questins
I already called and asked @T-Mobile but they have no solution for my problem and cann't help me!!!
I count on you *HELP*
thank you
There might be a quick and dirty way of solving your problem. If you had spent enough time on this matter, you ought to know which files are responsible for the Midlet (or you can do a research now).
Get these files from PDA1 and copy it them into PDA2, it should write on the storage memory. When WM5 sees a copy of a file with the same name, same location, it will execute the one in storage memory instead of the one in the ROM.

My apologies if this has already been discussed - but I don't think it has. This site says that the ROM is available for d/l, but I'll be damned if I can find the hyperlink.
Here's the particulars with regard to the ROM:
CE OS: 5.2.1236 (Build 17741.0.2.1)
Radio Version: 4.1.13.34_02.79.90
RIL Version: 2.002
Just thought I'd throw this into the kitchen and see what cooks up

It's for smartphones, not for pocket PC's
You are correct, sir!
Thanks for pointing that out for me.

Hey guys, I was wondering if I could upgrade the Radio Rom. I tried to find out what my Radio Bootloader was through the WIKI site but could not get the commands to work. All I know is that I have:
Rom Version: Schap's 4.01
Rom Date: 10/03/07
Radio Version: 1.16.00.00
Protocol Version: 32.53.7018.01W
ExtRom Version: 4.01.20071111
IPL: 1.01
SPL: 1.40.Olipro
I think that I need a newer Radio Rom as that one seems a bit old. The phone takes about 1.5 seconds to come back from sleep when clicking the power button.
You will have no problems upgrading radio. My phone started with 1.16 and is no up to 1.54.
sure, you can update the radio.
i suggest upgrading your IPL/SPL to HardSPL 7 or 9. i am currently using HardSPL 9 (2.60 Olipro), at the very least if you have a corrupted radio flash you will have your system bootable instead of a dead brick.
check out the ftp repository for xda-developers, you will be able to find v7 there (v9 is in the upload folder, but make sure you _only_ use it if you know what you are doing.)
Definitely upgrade SPL first, also do a little reading around, some radio roms work better in some countries than others and better on some network providers.
Updated to BETA 2.1!
CE OS 5.2.1620 (Build 19199.1.0.0)
1)Imgfs compression LZX->XPR
2)Removed Extrom
3)Unzipped xip partition from SRPX to normal
4)SDHC support
5)Oher changes
download here -> http://depositfiles.com/files/6124418
You can flash it in M500+ (with plus) only!
Thanks
Updated to BETA2 now all seems to be ok!
Could someone get screenshots of Start->Settings->System->About, then Start->Today and finally Start->Programs?
Updated to BETA 2.1, now the ROM boots normally
I Admire your work ,
testing that on my M500 (no pluses there I didn't know there is a plus version or how to know it)
Its not working , any solution or other updates, I'm stuck with 2003
Thanks alot
