Thanks,
JJ
P.S. Thanks for all the messages and support, I have releived some stress and now I might consider getting back in the,,,,, wait for it...., ****en Kitchen! (dont throw a bible at me for swearing)....
Welcome back jj
Just ignore all the PMs and crap from the whiners and the dickheads - hell, post the rom with a different userid and ignore all crap they fling
in the PM box
I might have sounded off about everything that's going on in the WM7 thread but it is a shame that people like me who don't post a lot but read a lot, lose access to the time and effort you guys put into these ROMs.
NOW PUT YOUR ****EN APRON BACK ON AND GET AT THAT STOVE MISTER ;-)
---
Don't let the b******s get you down!
BTW, I realsie there's no feedback on Black 2 in the post (OK, hitting myself already ;-) but it has just been rock solid for me.
I will edit this post and add something useful here today - i promise
Edit:---
OK, thought of something Would it be possible to add something like psshutxp to build so that when the "uneducated masses" (I don't like labelling people n00bs ;-) make a reg change that they've read in the wiki (yeah, right) they can use that to then restart the phone rather than complain when the registry changes don't take?
Sorry jj, best I could do - it really has been the best ROM so far and I've had no issues with it out of the box - but I can see this being one of those handy additions
OK, so how about this as a skin that will suit psshutxp on a black ROM? Perfect if you ask me...not my work though so I can't take credit. I believe is was a guy called xcilion http://xcskins.50webs.com/index2.html
Hope you don't mind the suggestion, but there is a problem with voicemail notifications that seems to affect only Orange customers. This has been fixed and the fix will not interfere with anyone elses voicemail. Would you consider adding it to your ROM even though it affects only a minority?
BTW - great to hear from you again - hope you had a couple of cool ones with the donation I sent!
The fix just involves running the sdkcerts.cab file and replacing the sms_providers.dll in the windows directory with the one in the enclosed zip file
Please EDIT your post and attach the FIX for ORANGE customers.
Three issues with Black 2:
1) In messaging - when you select an email to open and press the action button (center of D-Pad) it often bounces you out to Today screen. Then pushing Messaging button takes you directly to the email.
2) Removing Battery and Wireless Icons from Systray (using HtweakC) cause device to slow right down and pretty much die. Putting them back and device speeds up again.
3) Windows Live - using the messenger no problems, but cant remove the email account it creates called Windows Live (am guessing thats as hard coded as MS acn make it?).
(Sorry they are issues and no fixes - and welcome back- otherwise its VERY stable - one beer sent!)

Hi guy's, I'm placing this post here as a marker on page one so I can edit it in a few minutes with as many .CAB files and fixes as I can find so there all in one post....
Anyone with extras to add please PM me so they stay at the top of the thread not somewhere on page 63

PIM Backup (requested by Shamus)
I think in next version of Black would be good to change "SMS backup" to "PIM backup"

Q: Do SPB Pocket Plus and SPB Weather work ok?
A: Yes & Yes although I personally favour SPB Mobile Shell
From the Guru JasJamming himself
To be honest, althought SPB pocket plus doesnt cause boot issues on Black 2, it does hog your memory.
I ended up using SBSH instead and my memory is great. I dont have the memory leak issues as some have reported. These are the apps I use everyday and the usage frequency:
1. sbsh pocket breeze: all day long
2. sbsh ilauncher: while in the car
3. spb gprs monitor: all day long
4. WMLive: when out of office
5. TomTom nav6: driving to/from work etc.
6. Check emails every 5 minutes
My memory on a fresh SR is around 27MB with the above plugins etc and after a days usage its around 23mb.
One thing i have noticed, WMPlayer, if i load that piece of crap, my memory gets eaten up, and for somereason after I close it, it doesnt free up all memory but hey its Windows right. Now I use pocketplayer.

Q: Where is the GPRS disconnect button?
A: You can enable it in HTweakC
Q: How do I fix the Calendar softkey error? (Looking for a working fix)
A: Regedit \HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Today\Keys\112 from windows/lsk/htccalendar.exe to windows/calendar.exe
Q: How can i fix the new SMS softkey error?
A: exctact the .exe from this zip file and copy it to the windows folder.
ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/Hermes/Black_2_Files/tnsms.zip
Q: I can no longer use Bluetooth DUN in this rom.
A: Use WM6's internet connection sharing instead.
Please PM me if there is a problem with these fixes, I am unable to test them at the moment as I am trying to pool the knowledge from other threads.
Thanks go to all those quoted above! (If I've missed you please PM me and I'll add your name.)

Man you had me worried for a minute there.....Glad to hear from you.
1. Ringtones settings reset to default after prolonged usage of phone.
2. Please implement the wifi fixes for the bubble.
3. Can you fix the nice softkey applet - htccalendar link. I just replaced your SoftKeyApplet.cpl with that SoftKeyAppletEx.cpl but I like your interface better.
4. You may not like this one but Kypur and LSVW have some nice default alarm sounds in their ROMs. Can you replace yours with some of theirs.
Once again...Glad to hear from you. Peace paypal something your way>>>
I don't know if this is just related to my Hermes, but anyway I post it:
Earlier today I turned my Hermes ON again after leaving it OFF for almost 2 days with Black 2.0 inside; Instead of loading the OS, my XDA Trion went directly to Bootloader mode and then had to make a soft reset.
memory leak.
i remember reading about someone else having a memory leak on the original black 2.0. i am having the same problem. i have removed everything other than the rom and the "fix" cabs and still seem to have about 1Mb less program memory per hour without any programs running. if there is something else you need from me to help figure out if this is something with the rom install or a hardware probelm.
ps. glad to see you cooking again
wifi ap missing
i notest that some people was have problems with the wifi with this new rom becuse it happend to me when i flashed it.
*fix* i found on my own just want to get it out.
soft reset your phone with the wifi on and the aps should show up.
hope this helps.

I'm wondering if M$ is just handling memory differently in WM6 than they did in WM5... Taken a page from Linux memory management perhaps?
Glad to see you back with a future release, I always had a small issue with my phone answers the incoming calls while being taken out of the belt pouch, is there a way to have a new aplet to control actuating answering only through the green button.
And many thanks for the greatest ROM ever.
Mr. JJ,
Though I am not actively posting messages here, I am really support your Black edition WM6, I installed 1.2 and now 2.0, and happy with it's speed and stability !! Support u and your contribution !
I almost have no problem with 2.0 SPB Mobile Shell + SPB Diary + CE 2.8 R3, but when I turn off the screen with power button and try to turn on again, the screen will sometimes still in black unless I push the reset button.

Same here...Setting up my AP was smooth. Then once I tried to reconnect after powering off the AP was not available. FIX was checking the "THIS IS A HIDDEN NETWORK BOX". Soft resets did help me.
2 issues
1) Is there a way to make the windows live messenger only connect in Wifi Mode and thru USB cable.. Or not make it connect to 3g/Gprs ... it gets annoying after a while.
2) Anyone who installs SPB software should be aware that it can possibly screw up your WIFI connection and deem your hermes unable to use wifi. The reason i know this is because after i hardresetted my device with only resco explorer installed...i could use the wifi again...
First off let me tell you black is the best operating system i have used on my 8525 fastest, no more soft resets, no more problems thank you for this build of wm6
running
Pro Black 2.0
radio 1.34.00.10
HERMES100
CINGULAR
boot 1.06
i have used the ipl-sspl spl-1.09.ds by DES to upgrade everytime with no problems
theses are issues i have but cant seem to find the fixex for them
cingular keyboard fix symbols are all wrong (i searched can't find cab)
everyone tells me they hear me very loud when i am speaking normal on speaker phone and also speaking into the phone (i thought it was from radio 138 so i put back to 134 and same prob) could this be caused by black 2.0?
i never had this prob before
and that is all i have noticed
and most important PLease included me as one of the lucky people who get to download and use black as their os on my 8525 thanks

1) My understanding is that MS and the networks agreed that messenger would try to use GPRS first - for income purposes - but all you have to do is hit cancel when the device starts to make the gprs connection.
2) I dont think there's any logic to your suggestion - the reason I think that is that I have SPB pocket plus installed and my wifi works fine.

Man your setting yourself up for a flame homie. I typed "Keyboard fix" in the "search this forum" button and found this on the first page http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=36144&d=1175128576
So far Ive been using 2.0 since it was presented, and for the life of me, I cant find anything at all wrong with this rom, besides the wifi bubble thingamabob! I mean I work the hell outta this phone, with numerous apps intalled, and everything work as it should!
8525, radio:1.34, hard spl, black 2.0,
apps:tcpmp, tomtom6, netfront 3.3, sbsh PW, MS live search, Tengo thumb, Tengo KB, Bandswitch, resco photo viewer, palm msg, logmein, flash7, reset scheduler
JJ, I am sure it was good to take break and have a beer
I added a couple of wma files in the windows folder because I wanted to use a different ring tone for incoming calls. When I go under sounds and notification and choose phone:incoming calls, I don't see the new ring tones.
I tried placing the files in the ring folder which is under the windows folder as well and still no go even after the soft reset.
Black 2.0 and the rest of the information is in my signature.

I know that 4.1 is only just out & I think it's brilliant. I'm spending every evening checking new posts and playing with my phone like never before. So, before the 4.1 thread becomes the next thread with 1200 posts, I thought I'd start a new thread for ideas for 4.2
Tom - before I found the magic that is B&B I was using Wisbar Advance desktop and an application called innesoft address book which had a great feature that when someone called you, their photo was displayed full screen with their name (see thumbnails) rather than just the standard windows window.
Any chance you could devlelop something similar for 4.2 !!!
Cheers

Here is something that may hold you over, I am still trying to figure out how to use the caller id without the actual slide to unlock, bit here is something to tide you over, jsut a thought
Have a pretty much full screen keyboard for texting in landscape mode? The text appears at the top?
Is there a way we can assign a button to lock the phone rather than go thruogh the menu?
Cheers
Anybody knows if it is legal to include trial versions of apps in cooked rom?
Was thinking rom with included sktools, english dictionary of some kind, IM+, resco explorer, spb gprs monitor included on rom would save time and space. Apps included would be trial versions and ppl haveing bought them could just enter activation keys/serials, others could buy app if thy liked it.

This would be a waste of time and energy for most, these Roms are made to be efficient, the least amount of space used so that you as an individual can place your desired programs, once a rom is built there is no removing/uninstalling of any apps, hence the reason to not put trial versions into a rom, I use several of the above mentioned, but to "Bloat" a rom with them would be ineffecient. Best thing to do is install on your sd card, keep all your initial install cabs in one folder and use that as your rebuild folder. Cheers.

Is it not worth remembering that everyone has a different list of killer apps they MUST have on their device?
If Tom & Meschle etc added every app - the rom would only just fit on a 40gb hard disk!!!
To my mind - the idea is that the cooked roms are a basis onto which you install your own apps to make your own device work?
Constanlty asking for new apps to be added to a rom just complicates the issue. Or am I wrong?
something so i can remotly use my desktop via PPC
then im complete
automated network setup like in the O2 WM6 Premium 1.0 WWE rom
Extended timers & alarms application
I'd like to avoid installing SpbTime on each version
Great job!
OK, i agree, rom should be as slim as possible, but why the hell there is cube, psshutXP, PHM regedit/traylaunch, and office mobile on it then?
Could make an ultra lite wersion. (=
P.S. Dont get me wrong, i think 4.1 is great and it is a lot faster than O2. Just throwing around ideas about how to make it better.
with my original post, I was not really asking for a copy of the app, just would like a much bigger photo to pop up with caller id and liked the look of the inesoft one.
Tom - what do you think?
Just trying to make the ROM easier to use, more efficient.
B&B 4.1 is far better than original ROM from this point of view
TouchFlo for example helps to have everything we need with a single finger move..
Phone app is a lot more usable also.
Perhaps also the possibility to customize HTC Home by default, with more options (number of apps in the launcher, ..)
i don't think that is constructive to add as much apps, i can imagine, when it's released, everbody is shouting "this is not good" and "why did you use this app and not the other one"...and so one. I like it clear, not too much apps...but that's my opinion.
If i want it with all apps included then i start (to learn ) cooking my own ROM... IMHO i am very satisfied with the work that Tom is doing for us all. And 4.1 is just released. Enjoy it and let Tom make a break. He is hard working all the time!
Plugins for new version
Alarms extension (SpbTime style)
USB PenDrive emulator (WMstorage style)
Phone call recording (Audio Recorder style)
Thanks for B&B! Great job!
i have a great idea
Why dont we support Tom and all off his hard work and all the other wizards here, and stop complaining or asking for more.
like a bunch of kids in a sweet shop.
Improving File access
What I would like to see is the File Dialog Changer, I don't know who has heard of it but it is very good! Usually when you want to save files or open them in any application you get access to you My Documents folder. Only some smart apps like TCPMP and others have the option to access your entire pda.
File Dialog Changer changes the way you access your files in opening and saving them for every application, it's just 50 KB and you can activate / deactivate it in System Settings.

And about your wish I can only say that there is already Remote Desktop for WM6, I think I've downloaded it in the Wizard forum. Or use PocketVNC, that is the pda version for VNC. I am successfully using that with TightVNC on my computer. I just have to be in range of my WLAN and can turn on my computer by sending a wake on lan signal (not with vnc) and then access my computer through pocketvnc or access the files on my computer.

I think he had a point though. In the whole thread there is not one message of Tom Codon himself. Did you ask what he thinks? Maybe he has a few ideas of his own? After all, it will be his ROM...
Who says it will be B&B v4.2? Why not 4.3 or 5.0? If there will be another version let him take care of the numbers.
OK, all you flashing addicts, here is another WM6.1 rom!
This is Based on Josh's Saphire Pro Kitchen, with my fixes/updates. I wanted a simple but full rom with the least amount of configuring/installing/changing of things as possible, with decent free storage/program memory, stable, and this is where it is. I removed a couple things so it should be ok to release here on xda dev (paid for programs removed).
I want to thank ivanmmj for the lzx compression. The full rom is around 61 meg of free storage, and the lite rom should be close to 70!
A couple screenshots. If someone takes some screenshots, I'll post them here.

I like the rom
I'm running the one I made with my extra software in it (non free software), but other than that it's the same.
I flashed the rom and so far everything seems to be fast and stable.
However, I had some minor problems.
* After the initial startup, file explorer extension wasn't working. I had to uninstall it and install my own copy to make it work.
* There are some cab files in the /Windows folder. Are they really supposed to be there? It seems like a waste of ROM space to me.
* The X-button software has some messed up fonts. Instead of the names of the software, when I click and hold on the x-button, I see some squares.
* It seems like you included the Helvetica font. Where is this necessary? If it is not required by a certain software, I would remove the font completely.
* This is a personal preference but instead of the bulky and slow Opera, I would include Skyfire. It is much much faster than Opera.

I knew you guys could find stuff I missed!
I realized I don't have the latest file explorer extensions in there, I'll upgrade it for the next release, hopefully that will fix it.
I put the cab files in the windows directory because there is no extrom, os and splash screens only. Maybe I can figure out how to edit the extrom eventually. I'll remove the spbcalculator from the windows directory. the cinc_011.cab is for my operator, I might have to split into 2 builds if this takes off!
I just searched my entire kitchen for the Helvetica font, and I just don't see it anywhere. Did you install something else? Same for the x button, the one I have in there shouldn't pop up anything when you hit the "X" button, unless from the today screen (and mine seems to be fine from the today screen). Do you possibly have a sdconfig file to install things on 1st boot? This is uc compliant. Interesting, I'm not sure about these 2 issues.
And, I will look into skyfire. Maybe you'll convince me to switch!
Thanks for trying my rom, and for all the input! I will try to work on the issues and get another version up.

Now you got me confused I installed a couple of things but I don't think any of them installs Helvetica. Hmm. And I tried HTC x-button before. Never had this weird font issue. I will try to take some caps if I have some time.
By the way, these are only minor issues. The ROM is still quite fast, stable and functional.
Ok, I checked under /windows and appearantly there is no helvetica font. However, when I change font type from Office Word, I can see Courier New, HelveticaNeue LT 35 Thin, HelveticaNeue LT 55 Roman, PDC and Tahoma. I know PDC is for Pocket Digital Clock and Tahoma is the default. But the other fonts, as far as I know are not default in WM6.1. Do they maybe come within Office?
I think the wierd font issue in htc x-button may be related with this PDC font. I remember some discussion about that font, that it messes up some applications. Am I the only one who has this problem? Weird.

Interesting! I just reflashed to v2, because I was testing (and bricked, then had to unbrick). All I see under fonts in office is Courier New, PDC, and Tahoma. I'll have to search for the Courier New (at a different computer right now). I don't have the issues, with the fonts that are in it right now, with x button. It kinda looks like something else might be installing the other fonts.
I'm also working on figuring out the extended rom so I can make a couple more things uninstallable.
USB to PC settings are under an icon entitled "Keypad QuickTasks". Why is the icon titled so? Default provider is "CBW" - that's easy enough for me to remove. Can you move HTCAlbum to Multimedia folder? Default Today shows double date info - one entry from Today and another from Pocket Digital Clock.
Trying to connect my Motorola S9 headphones produces "Problem with Bluetooth Hardware" message. That's one I've never seen before. (edit: BT is fine now. Apparently, I have to manually turn on BT in Com Mgr before attempting to find BT devices. I guess I'd never noticed the need for the extra step.)
Thanks for cooking this.
(edit: after using most of the day today, battery depletion seems excessive. From 100% battery to 67% battery after one 30 minute conversation with BT headset.)
23506 BETA Download bottom of this post
This is the new WM6.5 23506 - I'm Starting with a BETA - I need feedback please so I can create a working version... As this is a BETA, there will probably be some issues with it. As always, Back Up Your Data!
Only download and install this version if you like to tinker and deal with possible problems. So far, it's been good, aside from the below issue.
I just had an issue a few moments ago. My phone was off, (So I Thought). It was checking my Gmail account, then went to sleep during the download, then froze while it was off for about 1 hour. It drained about 1/4 of my battery and I had to Soft Reset to get it back. Please beware there MAY be issues, or this could have been one of those rare & wonderful WM glitches that happens occasionally.
I was going to try to fix the problems in the previous 23504 ROM, but I've been using 23506 for a bit today. It seems to be VERY Responsive, Stable, and has Plenty of memory available (Some things seem REALLY Fast). I have cooked a Stock ROM with a couple "SuperSport" mods, (Mostly Visual), and it is looking like 25.76MB Free Ram (20-22 after a few hours) and 67.14MB Free Storage. This is leaving in SkyMarket, Live, Themes, Ringtones, and all the WM Widgets. The only things I removed are AutoUpdate (Does Nothing Anyways), MSTag (Not Compatible with Trinity Camera), and some extra files for other resolutions. Otherwise, as it was made. Oh, I changed some Images for my Theme. I may create a Cab to put all images back to stock if I get time. This will probably be a highly requested option.
Pin Lock appears to work properly now. I know a few of you will like that.
I plan to release the Stock ROM tonight as a BETA so that I can get feedback. My phone's WiFi is still broken, so Please test it, and I'd like feedback on the BT File Transfer. I can see some of the files are there, but don't know if it's working.
I don't have a lot of time to test everything on this, so would appreciate help with that. When I get enough feedback, I'll fix what I can and release a couple flavors of it.
I'm really proud of this one. It's the first one where I did not borrow a completed SYS/XIP from someone else. I assembled this one myself, so everything is as it should be and very clean. Also could be a Train Wreck.
One pet peeve: HoneyComb is Back! Eewww I'll try to figure out how to get rid of that for those who want.
Thanks to everyone for your feedback, good and bad. I'm trying to make our Trinity run a little longer...
PS: Because I have no idea how to move them, I've got 127 Modules in Slot #0 and 254 in Slot #1. Not sure if it would help or hurt to move them as it runs really nice now. Maybe it would be REALLY fast if moved?[/COLOR][/I]"
Each Different Version will be listed with a Download Link for each. In each Download Link I will post the Self Extracting Kitchen, an RUU_Signed.nbh, and an AutoFlash file.
What is AutoFlash you ask? I've taken the RUU file, added the Flashing Program, and Packaged it all up into an AutoExecuting AutoFlashing Program, and, it's a smaller download than the RUU alone. Pretty cool huh? Yes, others have already done this, but I'm going to make it a standard practice from now on.
"AutoFlash (tm), Making Flashing Socially Acceptable, One Package at a Time!"
My recommendation for Flashing is:
Make sure you have Hard SPL on your Phone. I recommend Olipro 1.20 - Click Here for More Info
Be sure your battery is at least 50% full.
Start your phone in Tri Color Screen mode. Steps below
--Unplug your phone from USB
--Hold down the Power & Camera Buttons
--While still holding them down, press the Reset Button using the Stylus
--Release the Reset Button, but continue to hold the Power/Camera buttons until you see the Tri Color Screen
--Plug in the USB cable (if asked about installing a driver, do this), You should see USB in the White Box)
Now you can Flash.
Run the AutoFlash file for the ROM you've selected, or Flash using the Standard Flashing Program included in the Kitchen.
Enjoy!

Thank you to EVERYONE on XDA. Chefs, Programmers, Cookers, Users, Noobs, everyone! You've ALL helped me to be able to do these. I'm sure I'll learn a LOT more as the days go by.

Hi Supersport,
Just flashed, wifi works fine for me!!!
Do you remember? I had some problem with the 23504 version.
Thanks a lot
Videocall doesn't work :-(
Dear Supersport
Flashed the 23506 and have following observations:
1) PIN lock works
2) WIFI works
3) Communication manager when started from top bar does not start and had to start wifi fro connections.
4) Microsoft My Phone program is old one and have new cab file on my storage card so that I don't have to download again and again.
Will post further feedback tomorrow morning about battery performance and PIN lock problem, if any.

No, Videocall is something I'll have to add. This is just a Stock Version of the OS that does not include Video Calling. That feature is all but gone on most newer phones, I'm assuming. So, for the Trinity, we add it back in using an old dialer from our original OEM ROMs. This will come later when I get a chance to make different flavors of this ROM.
PS: Glad the WiFi is working for you. I hope it's the same for everyone. 23504 Varied from user to user.

Same thing here. CommManager is not included with the Stock OEM ROM as it is probably different from phone to phone. That will also be added in on future versions.
I'm glad to hear the other two things work.
I'm having a little trouble with my phone hanging during Email stuff. Anybody else experiencing this? Since my Radio is Bunged up, I'm not sure if it's just me...
Anybody get a chance to try BT File Transfer? Is it there or working? EDIT: My initial test tells me this is probably not working...

The first one let me know which files I was looking for. Thank You AGAIN _X_! I pulled the cpr files from my 23504 and cabbed them. Now, you can add or remove the Grids per your liking. Just install either Cab and Restart. Now, if I cook without them in the future, you can easily add them back in.
Cabs in First Post. Unfortunately, I ran out of Attachment Slots (Max 8), so I zipped them together as Grid.zip Attached here seperately.
The following is the info/update in the morning:
1) Wifi works like a charm
2) Battery is stable during wifi usage and normal usage and no unusual drainage observed.
3) PIN lock works without any problem.
4) Synch with PC also works smoothly.
5) If there is no communication mamager in this version , then why it is shown when u press top bar phone signal sign? Please look in this as something else may be the reason for communication manager not working.

Actually, it's not included in the SYS normally. It's usually cooked in later by the chefs. I'm not sure why, as I think I remember it being there in the Older ROMs. It will be fixed on my next release. Yes, the reference is there in the Notifications, but the program itself is not.
I will need to be gone for a good part of the weekend, so I wanted to give you something to play with while I'm gone. I'll probably log in a few times using my phone, but not sure how much I'll be responding.
This is 23506 with some SYS packages removed. I added a few EXT packages to make it easier to work with and help with diagnosing.

Sorry, I screwed up the link. It's there now, along with this cab that will give you 4 rows with grid, for anyone who would prefer that (using typhoonk's cpr files I put a quick cab together). I might try editing the cpr files later so the grid is removed with 4 rows, we'll see.

Flashed AutoFlash 23506 Lite w Addons and looks good. On the outset, PIN lock, wifi is working well. Communication manager also gives confidence that all looks well. MS office alos working smoothly. Will play and post feedback tomorrow. Have a nice weekend.
Due to personal issues, I will temporarily only be able to list The.Decoy's ROMs here. I am unable to cook for a bit. When I get a chance, I will be back to play with mods again. Enjoy His work as it appears to be shaping up nicely! Most of the information below needs some updating, so I will get to it soon as I can.

23102, 24001 & 28014 - Trinity & P3600i

Notice! The following specs are no longer accurate, but are probably very close:
P3600 Specs:

46.88MB Free Storage
P3600i Specs:
21.71MB Free Ram
13.84MB Free Storage - Ouch! I'll get this better. I need to selectively RecMod Packages, but currently figuring them out. Although, with your extra storage space on the i series, this may not be an issue, huh? It's sure a fast ROM this way.
These specs are from my P3600/Trinity with HexEdited, so not very accurate!! Can I get feedback on what you actually have on your P3600i's?

I don't know what to say about the WiFi issue. I'm recommending to everyone to only flash your ROMs AFTER going into the Windows Mobile Tri-Color Boot Screen. Power/Camera/Reset. My WiFi is still down on my Trinity, so I have no way of testing it on these releases. Hopefully, we will find a fix for the WiFi issue soon.

Which version are you running? The Beta Expiration has been removed, that text is only Text and can be removed through the Registry. I thought I had done that, but again, at 2:00am, I obviously missed something.
I'll try to put together a Cab file for those who have already downloaded this ROM and don't want to download a fixed version.

The Super Ultra Lite version does not have CHome. Also, I'm rebuilding and uploading the Kitchens, AutoFlash and RRU's right now. Should have them up within a couple hours. From the Kitchen, you can add remove any of those items. Custom ROMs. If you would rather not try cooking, then I will work it out for you.
I don't know how many personalized ROMs I can build, but if people can be patient, I will attempt to try a few. What I would be willing to do is start from the Blue version and drop anything people want left out. Adding things is a little more time consuming and might be done on a case by case basis, depending on the need. Some Packages I might already have and it would be easy to add them. Or, if you provide the package, that would help too. Not a cab, but an EXT Package.
First, I want to apologize if anybody had trouble downloading today.
I was amazed that there were over 200 downloads between 3am and 5pm Pacific time. Thank you everyone for checking these out.
I'd still like input on the P3600i versions as I have no real way to test them or see Bugs as you would on your phones (I'm on a Trinity). How's the Memory, Storage Space, Bugs, etc...?
The reason you MAY have had problems downloading was because I removed all the files from MediaFire and re-Cooked and re-Uploaded everything. I also restructured the MediaFire Mirror a little so it was easier to keep track of files from my end.
So, they are back up and rebuilt (Links in Post 1 & 2). Input would be nice if you get a chance. I've been speaking with The.Decoy and he's pointed out some issues I need to deal with, so hopefully I can understand everything he tells me and make these better.
Just for the record, The.Decoy is Incredibly Intelligent, it actually blows my mind what he knows (Many Levels Above My Understanding of All This). A good guy to hang out with, indeed.

I don't really know if there is one, and it's not that I'm videocalling all the time, actually it's my 4th or 5th phone with that capability and I used it only ONCE on my first phone just to see how it works but I'd like to have all phone features enabled whether I use them or not but I could live without it I guess still it's a bit weird that newer phones are stripped form that feature don't you think?
more important - what about EzKeyboard? imo it's as usable as FK but it takes less screen space so it's a bit more handy (for me ofcourse)

I don't really know if there is one, and it's not that I'm videocalling all the time, actually it's my 4th or 5th phone with that capability and I used it only ONCE on my first phone just to see how it works but I'd like to have all phone features enabled whether I use them or not but I could live without it I guess still it's a bit weird that newer phones are stripped form that feature don't you think?
more important - what about EzKeyboard? imo it's as usable as FK but it tooks less screen space so it's a bit more handy (for me ofcourse)

Ok, I have to agree. I've NEVER had the opportunity to use the Video Calling feature, but I also feel every available feature should work, Just In Case!
I'll see what I can do. I had a report that the video dialer in my 23504 Blue worked, so I'll try that here. I don't remembe if it disabled the Smart Dialing feature, but it might.
Could you tell us how to remove the beta warning ? or should we reinstall ?
+1 for EZInput especially since it includes predictive typing for foreign language user... would be great to be able to choose to use it... but fingerkeyboard is nice too !
I also wanted to report having a weird message about voice command stoping because lack of ram (I don't use voice command).
Since it's christmas time what about a weather plugin included or even better a preconfigured CDigitalClock :

Thanks a lot for this rom, I find it very smooth and fast.
3G Video Calling & Smart Dialing!
Please, ONLY those who are comfortable flashing ROMs try this. If it causes problems, you will need to Boot Into Bootloader and Re-Flash another ROM.
Hello Everyone.
After many months, maybe even over a year (Ever since 6.5 came out), I've been trying to get a working Video Dialer on WM 6.5 ROMs. Well, a couple weeks ago, I had muhammri verify for me that it INDEED WORKS! Not only Video, but ALSO Smart Dialing!
So, with that knowledge, I've tweaked the ROM a bit and would like Video Call testers. I don't have a way to test Video Calling since I don't have anyone to test it with, so I'd like some of you to let me know if the Dialer works properly in this build. If anyone wants to see my Mug, PM me and I'll call you or give you my #. I've NEVER been able to test Video Calling. US only please.
Please keep in mind this is a BETA, and as such, will likely have some issues (Menu not cleaned up yet, Icons need replacing, Likely other issues...). Please point these out to me so I can fix them and get a clean base Kitchen that I can release. I'm anxious to see what others will be able to do skinning the dialer more than I have. (Hint Hint - nAr & icke! )
As always, you Must have HardSPL Installed, and you Should backup all your data.
ROM INFO:
Titanium Build with Home Screen Customizer that allows a weather Panel
I will be making other builds later (M2D, Stripped, etc...)
Includes the new Mail App with Conversation View
Includes the new Contacts App
Free RAM:
23.02MB
Free Storage
47.01MB
Feedback would be appreciated.

looks promising, but i'll wait for the kitchen - i prefer to choose included packages myself
OH! It's fantastic! Any Image?
I prefer to wait, but when there is a stable version I try it, for now I like my ROM but the battery is dying.
Thanks Superspot!
I believe that when I deleted the kitchen, I put it back together from the wrong parts. It was quite unstable. I started from scratch and built the Kitchen again. This time, much better. Not perfect still, but better. See Notes Below in RED on what is fixed or not...

So and I . I have downloaded this ROM but not testes yet. Think better wait for the Udate
By the way, Thanks to SuperSport for your amazing ROMs for Trinity. I am one of you fans....
Thank you guys, and I'm really sorry. Between health, Thanksgiving, kids, etc, I have not had much time with this. I will try to focus again as I know Trinity does not get much Love lately.
This is my latest build with a few things fixed. It's still definately BETA, but much better than the last one. There are still some issues, but I will get to ironing them out again...
DOWNLOAD
EDIT: Finger Keyboard Broken...
Really, I'm very excited, but I wait for a Stable version.
Is any possibility of test the ROM in the PC?
Thanks SuperSpot
Great ideea to keep 6.5 at a bare minimum to leave more RAM available for intensive apps such as navigation software!
I just installed it and I have a few problems:
-SD card does not work. works on my computer, tried formating it, no result.
-Device Information and Microphone AGC icons are doubled
-Opera 10 mobile does not work "a critical component is either missing or cannot start..."
Good work so far!
Make it great!
Sorry: I tested the first one so I'll come back after I test the latest!

Thank you for all the reports. It does help. I'm also running into those issues. I've recreated another that has fixed some of them. I'll keep working and get another release out asap.
It seems that when I included all the Video Dialer stuff it breaks other things, but I'll beat it!
It also seems like I'm having trouble with 23569, so I'm backing down to 23504 until I get it stable, then I'll try adding back 23569...
Here is the current one if anyone is feeling daring. I've removed FingerKeyboard and Added HTC EZ-Input, including Compact QWERTY, Full QWERTY and Phone Keypad. Duplicate Icons still exist and Opera is removed till fixed.
alright, so this 23504 is the latest beta right? gonna test it in a minute, as 23102 built from yours and Decoy's kitchen is having some issues because of my changes and i dont remember what i have changed to revert it back but i hope opera mini will work, its essential. also if you're going to cook another betas etc please do version with ez input and finger keyboard separately - there are many of us who highly dislike finger kbd or make it uninstallable. alright, downloaded so i'm going to flash it, cheers!
edit: alright, so it is quite fast (as far as we can say something like that about 6.5 roms ), Opera Mini works fine with wifi, i thought ez input will be v2.1 not v1.5, but its still a beta, so neither this or lack of weather panel is really an issue. what i like is that you didnt include 1000 apps, only the essential ones - this way we can install what we want, anyway first thing ill turn off in the kitchen when its released is additional themes which are so damn ugly i cant stand having them included . will give this rom a try during next few days, probably until another version arrives, looks good so far, keep up good work SS!
edit2: woah! the included chome customizer is ACE ! i've managed to add weather panel easily, and this is much better panel than the one i was used to see in earlier roms! great!
edit3: issues spotted - i cant disable T9 properly, it reenables everytime i start typing a new message etc. also windows media player volume is reverting to 75% no matter what you set each time you run it
this is just a beta and I already love this rom
SS,
apologies, not able to reply as I'm occupied with my work & assignment (part time student).
my pending reply are as follow
-Error to start garmin mobile - "que.exe" NOT SURE WHY. MAYBE UPDATE WILL HELP?
*Not sure, but maybe some thing left out when you cook the ROM, fyi, no issue when I flash with other ROM before
-Video Call Work (outgoing & incoming) Is Video Calling AND SmartDialing working together?
*Sorry, didn't check it, however from its apperance, look like its work I think.
-Change Input Sim Pin Background Color (currently green) Anyone remember where that image is? I can't seem to find it.
*It's the screen where you need to key in your sim card password/pin.
Anw you have done a really good work. Seem like there another beta update. Will download and test it later.

Hey jedai, long time no see. Probably due to my lack of doing anything in the Trinity Forums lately.
Thank you for the input. Yes, the Home Screen Customizer is a favorite of mine also. I like the weather panel it installs. I am not happy with the EZ Input yet either, but I like it better than FingerKeyboard for now. I will try to track down the newer version, as I was not aware of the update.
I think I'll be removing more apps on the next release because I feel the same way about too much stuff that I don't want in my ROMs.
well i wasnt exactly active either there is this "TO:" field bug also - outlook may hang if you choose a name from ez input helper (i hope you know what i mean, i dont know how to call it but it shows you contact names when you just type one letter, and there is one from windows/outlook and one from ez input and the one from ez input hangs outlook when used, especially when xt9 is enabled, which happens to be enabled everytime ez input is used, as i mentioned earlier).
there isnt much more i've noticed, few suggestions maybe - htc connection setup shoud be part of the rom i think, even though its damn easy to find and install. also as i tested some roms recently, both winmo6.1 and 6.5 some of them werent able to play 3gp movies which is kinda weird behaviour for a mobile phone, so i hope this one will be able to play them (i dont have any of these files to test atm). maybe its time also for office 2010? i know besides new nice icons not much has changed if anything, but still - if we weren't for eye-candiness we would stick to wm5.0 dont we?
