Did you happen to get this solved? My messages won't open either, from gmail or activesync...
yes mine did this too
I have flashed both the Black 1.2 and the LVSW 3-26 editions and both are giving me this problem. I have a Cingular 8525, everything else runs great (love the speed of the WM6 roms), but I can't open the e-mail messages. I can mark them read/unread, delete or move them, but I just can't open them. I've searched the forums here up and down looking for anyone else with the problem. Am I just missing something huge and obvious?
Well, I'm not sure why it didn't work with the other 2 roms, but I loaded up the WM6 Vanilla rom and it's running fine.

Agile crashes on my blue angel anybody know were to get a cab with OZ im in it?
Yea, there ya go: http://seamonkey420.tech-recipes.com/mda_wm5/zips/My_TMO_cabs.zip
sort of related question, are these the files which would customise the phone for T-Mo? I just saw a friends older HP phone from TMo and the Today screen had a bunch of stuff which was T-Mo specific - battery meter, call log, etc....I would like that!!!!
any idea if this would do? and is OZ IM better than Agile? I just installed that last night... :?
many thanks for any answers!

are you talking about the Win32 API error when trying to run it on WM5? I somehow managed to make it work on the latest logout rom but when I reflashed it and tried installing it a second time it gave the error again.. so far nothing I've seen is as good as agile..
Another Option...
Why not use IM+?
I have used it on both WM2K3 and WM5 flawlessly... built in support for Yahoo, AOL, MSN, ICQ, Jabber and GoogleTalk... and configurable for any other if you know the settings...
I've never tried IM+.
Have you ever though of using regular AIM? I wish there was an update to AIM 2.0 though, I love being able to custmomize my away messages. Its just that the vibrate feature does not work.
has anyone gotten this to work? I havent tried a flat cab install to the device, but i did try to integrate it into a rom and was getting incompatibilities with the tmail.exe program... Im not even sure if the palm threaded app will even work with WM6 due to the structure of the mail app...

I have used it on every flavor. Using the Black Edition right now with the app installed on the storage card.
ok thanks.. i must have been missing something when trying to integrate it... i will look further!
The key is installing first I believe. I haven't had any issues when it is the first app installed.
it very well could be... building it into the rom does work for the most part, it just throws weird errors here and there.. i will look deeper now that i know it works..
I've gotten it working. Installed on device. Takes up some space but after manually setting it up with Cingular numbers it works fine. Have't really used MMS but I never used them before. SMS is working great.
sms receipts
Does it do SMS receipts under WM6? It would not under WM5.

Palm App - sends repeat msgs?
Has anybody had the problem of after you've sent someone a txt msg, the application seems to send it again 2 or 3 times at different times.
Ie. person gets the msg ok once I've sent it. If i restart my phone/soft reset or sometimes just re-launching the app, it will resend mgs that have been previously sent again. --> to which i get sms back saying 'you've sent this 3 times' from my friends.
I don't know much about changing or modifying settings so i've only installed the application as is and havn't altered anything. not interested in using MMS on it (rather use the old app), but don't want it to keep sending txts - its costing a fortune.
Any ideas?

It comes from closing the application too early before its done sending the message completely. I added it to my excluded apps in HTC Task manager so its always running in the background. No problems since.

I used your version from here:

No problems at all on WM6. I am using VP3G's ROM.
Was the problem of sending a picture message over 300k ever fixed? I had to remove it off my phone because I couldn't send my 330k picture messages which is the standard picture size when took with the phone.
Any help on this? I've heard great things!
as far as I've heard, and tested, none of them work. (the two I know of atleast) the program can't grab the message for some reason. they probably changed how it recieves or stores them in WM6, one of the reasons I went back to WM5 for now.
This is when I got it running on WM6, there's a small problem on both WM5 and WM6, same exact problem.
http://gadgetsonthego.net/2007/03/palms-threaded-sms-app-works-on-t.html
the problem with the app is that you can't get back to your inbox without closing the app out first. I have set task manager to a speed dial so I press "2" to close the app then I get back in my inbox and can navigate between inbox, outbox, drafts etc. Otherwise the app works very well. This app was NEVER intended to run on non-touch screen phones, it doe work though.

I'm sure one of you have seen this message before. I'm not sure why I'm getting it, but I have a good idea to guess why. I installed Black 2.0 over cingular's old rom. I then installed T-Mobile's cab file found here, but not for US. I was hoping the servers were the same, but apparently not. Anyway, after attempting to uninstall the cab, I still found some traces of the settings set in the phone. I made sure all those were deleted and installed the information manually for T-Mobile in the US.
I'm using T-Mobile's triggering software, so I went through the registry steps outlined here: http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=239456
to have my email triggered via sms messages to check for email.
The problem: Everytime I manually or trigger check my emails, I get the following message from Outlook on my TyTn:
Messaging (Window)
"You are currently roaming. Synchronizing may result in additional charges."
I know for a fact I'm not roaming. Any help here? I couldn't find anything close on the search through the forums. T.I.A.

This has nothing to do with the BLACK2 rom. it has got to do with the CAB you installed from Tmobile.
If its not the cab, then its your telco/carrier.
Also, dont start a new thread, this thread should be migrated with the Black official thread where issues are discusses.

jj, it's only a problem with Outlook messaging. Do you know of a method to disable this check in the registry? I'd hate to hardreset everything to realize it wasn't the cab file I installed. Much help appreciated and great job on this app.
I don't think it's just with Outlook and not just with the Black ROM. I've experienced the same error/behavior with XpressMail (push) from Cingular. I have not found a solution.

Are you using T-Mobile (US) SIM card in your Cingular 8525?
No, Cingular SIM, Cingular service. I have also not installed any additional CABs. I also have never had any other problems with phone/data transfer/email, just XpressMail for some reason. Every time XpressMail thought about doing something it replied "...Roaming..."

Interesting. Is your Outlook working fine? I haven't tred XpressMail. I also get the triangle at the top of my phone (meaning roaming). I don't see why I'm roaming if I'm connected to T-Mobile's network. i'm confused madly.
Ok I confirmed it's definately not the radio 1.40.xx. JJ said it wasn't WM6 - Black 2.0 and I agree with him to some point.
So i went to use the latest WM5 Shipped Rom from Cingular/ATT: RUU_Hermes_CINGULAR_WWE_2_1_.15.502.3_6275_1.40.30 .00_108_Ship.exe
Get this!!! You ready??! Interesting find... I got the roaming icon after the WM5 OS was built. But! When it installed ATT's branded stuff from the extended ROM, the freakin roaming icon went away. Something in there changed it. We must disect this and figure it out. Any takers? I'd love to go back to wm6 but I won't until this is fixed.
Anybody found a solution to this? I have just upgraded my Cingular 8525 to WM6 (Black 3.01 and then 3.5), applied the Cingular settings CAB, and I am getting this error as well.
No Fix
Still no fix for this. Sad to say bro, that JJ seems to be the only guy that should know the packaging of his black tyron roms, but the seems he doesn't care given he doesn't live in the US where it appears we suffer from these roaming icons. His latest build of Blacks (Tyron's) Shadow is most definately monstracity, but again, I can't use it with the annoying roaming icon trying to check my email and it won't because it think's i'm roaming where I know I'm not. WM5 seems to be the only solution for now until I get some hacker to figure it out. No time for me since I'm hella busy.
its an issue with cingular period! reflash to black4.0 and dont use Xpressmail its ****!! use activesync with excahnge 2007 and you will not get the roaming message.. also do not install the Cingular settings with the cab set them by hand and dont use MediaNet use wap.cingular

Hi all,
Not sure if this has already been reported or even if this is a bug for anyone else, I have searched and could not find anything so here goes..
T-mobile Vario II running Custel Windows Mobile 6 - 2.5
I have found when in office mobile 2007 - word and writing a document, I will close word which will auto save.
come back to it later and finish the document.
While still in word open messaging to attempt to email the document.
However, messaging fails to open.
The same if you then close word and try to open messaging - nothing.
This results in a hard reset every time.
Not sure if this is WM6, office mobile 2007 or custel bugs?
can anyone else confirm issue's ? or fix
Many thanks
No, I do not have this issue. While in Word, I can open messaging and send emails, and the Menu->File->Send also works fine. No problems using Messaging features after closing Word, either.
Maybe there's an incompatibility with some other software you have installed.
When you say this causes a 'Hard Reset'...are you sure you're using the right term? A Hard Reset clears the device back to it's original ROM-Only configuration. If that's what's happening, this is really bad.
Ooops Sorry Soft reset...
No other software installed,
I have just tried again opening a small word file
then oped messaging and it opened.
closed messaging and tried to open another word doc and had to soft reset
due to freezing.
All documents are stored direct on the device and not on memory card.
Believe something has gone astray somewhere. if everyone else appears to be ok then it looks like a re-install will be ready.
thanks for the input pvs
