Device Softbank x01ht
I just recently upgraded my rom to:
Rom Version 1.35.255.2
Rod Date 11/14/06
Radio Version 1.18.00.10
ExtRom 1.35.255.102
I noticed that when I use sms messaging, the unit does not automatically pull my contacts after typing just a few letters. I have to manually type in everything. Is there a fix for this?
Thanks

Hello this is my first XDA lls phone and i need a bit of help.
I had to do a hard reset the other day and i lost all my text messages.
Is there a way to add the text folders into Outlook?
Also I have added O2 plus.
Is there a way to add the time to the date? then I can remove the time in the task bar or can I add the date to the time in the task bar?
I have read a little about editing the registry but do not know how to get into the registry.
Thanks in advance

Rom 1.40.00 WWE
Rom date 03/10/05
Radio Version 1.12.00
Protocol Version 1337.42
ExtRom Version 1.40.923 WWE
registry editor http://www.phm.lu/Products/PocketPC/RegEdit/

After I have upgraded ROM to 1.30.107 WWE, radio 1.09.00, extROM 1.30.162 WWE, I do not have MMS folder in my messages. When somebody tries to send me a MMS device goes to Text msg inbox and when I close it it opens again and again... I can not even compose new MMS, because as said there is not even folder for MMS.
Thank you for helping me out...
just try to install the following two cabs. you have to install Signed_UNI_o2UK_UAProf.sa first,
then MP-Shortcut-MMS1-JAVA5XX-VOICE-051228
i hope it will help you.
This might be me being a newbie but I'm sorry, I can't find how to fix this
I've set up all the settings from the orange site for mms and still can't fix it...I am unable to send or receive mms now that I've upgraded to WM6
ROM version: 2.0.8.0
ROM date: 03/07/07
Radio Version: 1.38.00.11
Protocol Version: 32.71.7020.12H
Thanks in advance
dont know if this will help but it may.

3 things you need to install
to save u the time of reading all the posts...
for getting sms and voice mail alerts working (if voicemail isnt set up u you get a wierd text!)
step 1
install sdk certificates
step 2
install sms providers
then to get data and mms working
step 3
install the orange connection settings
all 3 are cab files so copy on you phone then run them from there.
thanks go to all those others who found the solution - i've just learned from those other bright sparks

All of these are now fixed in this Orange UK by rabdo v1.5.cab
-Installs Internet and MMS settings for Orange UK
-changes UMTS prefix to 3G when on 3G networks
-fixes voicemail icon
-fixes user agent ID (for orangeworld)
-changes regional settings to UK
-Black Shadow compliant!!!
These never work for me, can never get rid of the VM notification.
What do you mean?

please elaborate.
These fixes do not get rid of the VM notification, it fixes the problem where the "@" appears.
Does anyone know why after I flashed my AT&T Fuze to a HTC Touch Pro Stock ROM or Reconstructed ROM, my sms feature screen is blank, it doesn't let me type sms and send sms, but I can receive sms. How to fix?
ROM THAT I USED ON MY FUZE: 1.90.709.5 CHT
Thanks

open with regedit software (resco exploere suite)
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\
create new key (folder)
OEM
Create new dword key:
Name: SMSInboxThreadingDisabled
Value: 1
This fix disable sms in chat mode
still the same, blank screen, any other suggestion?
I'm not sure if reading this can help you out, because I didn't have a blank screen. But still.. Good luck!
Why not try a 1.93 ROM? It should be much better than 1.90

Carty..
Hi,
I installed the pv dvh 20924.1.5.0 rom a while ago and have only just noticed that I don't have any mms settings, I have gone through options under messaging and its not listed, I have reflashed my phone and still no settings, I'm on 3 if that helps. I did post on the forum for this rom but no one has replied.

again, more details please, what flavour did you install as I remember the lite ones don't include MMS software like arcsoft, which you have to download and install.
also some mms versions don't have a new category, then you can find the MMS in SMS
The rom is the full version, I installed Arcsoft 4.2 as this has the seperate mms/sms folders but still nothing on my phone!

Did you rerun "Connection Setup" after installing Arcsoft? Start -> Settings -> Connections -> Connection Setup. It will properly set your MMS settings for your carrier.
yo kid,do you actually have mms in your message centre when you press the message button or select messages/mail?if so then select mms then menu-tools-options,select mms and edit the default setting or if you wish create new one.your settings will most likely be here-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299023&highlight=stevieboy
otherwise run the connection wizard as suggested.
