you can count on that just look at today plugin and clock font, the ugliest I've ever seen, it's pity because he's good cooker but unfortunately not so good in visual look

Yes but his doing the rom asian style, i flashed a asian rom in my trinity and
it was good rom but a lot off "bling bling" in the rom= lot of usless stuff
Must say that the asian style do not please us europeean guys, the visual look is not what we are use to see.
We all have our own way to look at things, different taste..right? "someone like the mother, and someone like the daughter" we say here in my country

Yes sure!......if you looking for trouble

Cooks only need to release the kitchen as it is right before selecting the packages, compiling and uploading, it's not a matter of hard/easy, it's a matter of will, and I can't see the benefit in releasing only the compiled version.
I'd do that, but the last time I tried I messed up the base rom and haven't got the time to try it again ever since.

I think I removed phccanvas.dll or something similar and that messed it up, I'll try another day.
That base rom was manually clean from top to bottom, even checked the ENTIRE registry line-per-line(paranoid, I know, but there's a lot of junk there like entries from JVMs that arent even installed).

Please If someone test this new ROM let us know how it works, and if it have all the options like MMS, because the latests ROMs from PDAVIET the MMS were missing.

The WM 6.1 look without the ROM. (For simple people)

Hello everyone,
I have been experimenting with the WM 6.1 ROM's, like a lot of you, but I have not been completely satisfied with any yet. I am no developer or anything of that such.
This post is for those of you who just want to change your homescreen look and a few minor things, to get rid of that WM 6 look.
I have attached a few .CAB files as well as a black theme.
You will have to extract the HTC_New_default.tsk file to your WM devices "Windows" folder. It will then show up on your themes as HTC default.
These files may have been posted in another thread, but I am starting this thread just to be simple. Feel free to add your HTC .CAB's as well.

One question. Is this extract for 3g dialor also make 2g dialor to 3g dialor assuming I have activated the 3g in Advance Configuration Tool

interesting idea for those that "arent happy" with 6.1 or cant get it to work.
You should re-title it though to "I cant believe its not 6.1"

I'm digging it. I also feel the same way... most 6.1 roms are fast right after install but after really using the phone for a week it turns into a turd pretty quick, especialy if you install a lot of apps.
Been using original HTC 6.0 WWE rom without issues for quite some time. I try about every new rom when they come out but I always go back to this one for reliability.
BTW: What com manager you using? Thanks!! GOOD WORK!
Here is the boot screen that I use. Makes it feel more like 6.1 Copy to windows folder on device. Overwrite the old one.

you'd better make your own "welcome screen" so you can add your own touch in it as a part of the customization you do after flashing a new ROM but it case you like the pre defined ones, here is one from PDA-Corner that I also like.
I hope I'm not breaking the law od copyrights by posting this (please tell me if I do)

Is it possible to RIP a ROM from a phone?

Specifically what I would like to do is make my registry edits and menu edits on the phone, then rip everything from the phone and reflash it, so that those changes are permanent.
If this isn't possible, then perhaps someone could explain to me how I can use Rickwyatt's excalibur kitchen to modify the registry and menus successfully. So far the Registry hack tool that he gives complains that it's missing "regedit4.txt" in the resources folder, and Rickwyatt hasn't responded to my requests for a fix.
Also, the instructions on the kitchen seem to be written for the Kavana ROM because the InitCCS file doesn't look anything like it in the Rose 1.6 ROM.

I would ask Ricky himself as he will be more than happy to help you out.

And probably leave a description like this out as you have to remember we all have lives outside the forum and can miss threads sometimes...

I really second that, but even more important for me is to get the new dialer with landscape support as a separate cab. I need to use my phone in landscape, and therefor I had to disable the nice htc dialer and go back to the wm6 original one... but the new dialer supports landscape... correct?

Shamelessly bumping this, so that minds greater than mine can be encouraged to get this done.
This is one of the only real problems left for me with my HD - a fugly calendar.

Me too want this so badly. I have tried Thumbcal but does not like it because it respond badly when I press my finger on it.

Can somybody please upload the Calendar.cab for the Htc Touch HD. I tried 2 different versions on xda dev. but they both don't work because they work created for other devices, with another resolution.

Actually, I heard that the nice black calender on the capture is just a cover of the awful outlook one.
As soon as you use it, you can see the outlook interface back....
So better to use the last version of thumbcal 1.3.5. It is quite cool.

K, here is the file. Try putting it into this location
C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Roaming\Rainmeter\Themes
Should work as long as you have everything else installed.

This would be better if we could use Live/Hotmail instead of Gmail, and if there was a Songbird panel, though I could probably make one of those.
EDIT: The developers of Omnimo created a panel editor which allowed me to create a Songbird panel, and I can just use the Outlook panel to monitor my Live.com email.
