I need camera update software for Asus P525, wich I can get more sharp pictures with my pocket. I think that, mda vario II have in camera integrated software, wich after photo shot, automatic sharp photos.

I don't think there is such (extra) software...

the only problem i see with the p525 cam is that its a bit slow to take videos but the camera itself takes quite sharp pictures even better that nokia 2mp cams out there

i notice a bit blure!! in original the camera software.
1. i cant say it blur because the software make the picture in this way .
2. you can get sharp picture by using the ateksoft coolcamera program(without auto focus and without any other blur or what ever you call it)
3. Videos is a nightmare at night or low light conditions with asus p525 ,in day like its ok 15 fps . but there is a solution for better video quality and more fps at day and its by using coolcamera.

Just got my new xda2s, and wanted to know if there was a patch or something to make the camara full screen like my old xda2 in capture and video mode, or is that just the way it is now.

Is there no way to make the camera output work full screen and unlike the xda II the zoom doesnt seem to work.. or is there something been done wrong?
bR
To zoom you must reduce the resolution of the picture in manage picture settings (bit of a scam really)
i too would like to know about the full screen camera function like the old xda's cause my mate has one and i prefer that better to the small screen version on the M2000
Yeah, bizarre that, there must be a registry hack to allow the zoom to be used in standard capture mode? Mine works fine in video, but not in photo mode!
I must admit that when I bought by Blue Angel, I didn't really consider the camera other than to note thats its only 640x480 - there are just TOO many other toys to play with. But after having used it a couple of times, it would have been nicer to have a higher resolution, zoom etc, but what the heck, this is a PDA/phone, not a Nikon
All I do to get a "zoom" is crop & resize the images in paintshop pro before printing them.
Hello everyone!
I recently bought a Sony Ericsson Arc and the images taken by its camera look pretty good on the phone it self, but wen it comes to downloading them on PC the results are quite unexpected. the image resolution is poor 400xXXX pixels or less and size is about 600kb (same shown in astro file explorer) although its taken on 8mpx settings and same with using HDR camera. I use universal android suit (i dont know maybe i need original sofware?) The question is how do I fix that Resolution problem? what settings and where? pls help

i don't believe hdr camera supports full resolution even if it claims it. Take a picture with the stock camera and check the resolution on that. What's universal Android suit?

HDR camera does support full resolution, I have taking several pictures with both SE camera app, HDR camera and Vignette all at 8MP and compared them with 100-200% magnification, the resolution on each is exactly the same, there is absolute no difference in the details recorded.
HDR camera does after combining three pictures increase color saturation and contrast for the whole picture and fine details. This makes the pictures look like they have more details but up close it is easy to see the same amount of details and same pixel sizes.
I have decided to uninstall Vignette as it add some very weird "pixel curtain" all over the pictures which initially gives it a larger file size as it add additional pixels which is not supposed to be there. This could give the wrong impression that it contains more details which is not the case.
hello
Is there any way to improve the camera's zoom?
it can improve a rom?
photos are very nice but the zoom is not clear and very weak

Dont think there is a way to do that. If you want good zoom probaly better off with a actual camera

The short answer is no. Your phones camera, like most smartphone cameras only has digital zoom. This is essentially the same as cropping an image using photoshop or some other photo editing software.
If you want to be able to zoom and have crisp photos, the only option is to buy a camera with OPTICAL zoom.
As a rule I have found you are much better off ignoring zoom on your camera completely, and editing it later on, and if you do use the digital zoom feature, use as little magnification as possible.
Any software updates/changes could the algorithm slightly, and in my opinion, it rarely makes much difference, and being Sony has a digital camera/SLR arm (they also bought Minolta a while back), I would suspect they have tweaked for quality already.
I ask because I previously used the desire hd and there was a very good zoom

DHD camera is not as good as arc in the first place, and the zooming function make it worse..
I had a DHD with 2.3.4 rom and zoom was very good and clear
Take the photo and zoom afterwards with a pc or an app if zhe zoom of the cam isn't good enough for you.

I agree that digital zoom is not as good as optical but it has its used on the Xperia ARC. You will actually get me details zooming in than taking a full size picture which you enlarge later on.
Try the following to test this, it will only work on motives close by. Place a book 1-2 meters away from you. Take a full size picture and then take a one where you zoom in on the book. You will actually be able to read the text on the book on the zoomed picture while the enlarged full size picture will show the book as pixelated and it is difficult to read the text.
There is no difference on motives far away between the zoomed picture and enlarged full picture.
I am not sure why the objects close by contain more details when zooming than enlarging a full picture. My best guess would be that SE has some logic buildin on the photo chip that on the zoomed picture correlate pixel readings on the sensor and not just cropping and enlarging the final picture.
Please let me know if you experience the same, I am very puzzled that the zoomed picture for objectives close to the camera contain more details than the full size picture.
As I'm big photography fan, I use my Xperia Arc to take photos. Photos are very live and colors are very vivid, but I have some problems with camera, I have focus problems while taking video, when I press cam button it wont focus that minute it needs some time, about 10 secs to re-focus, as for Auto focus as for Face Detection in any scene mode. In additon I'm looking for BURST mode, because I managed to take photos of lightnings with my C905 and this phone has very slow camera, I'd ask to improve the driver somehow. And anyone would edit camera driver so we could change the iso and other options it would be great. Please suggest anything , maybe application or something. Thanks in advance.!
You may use this app, it's just like BestPic..
Pick Pic Camera
Arc or any android phone doesn't have camdrivers like that of C905.. If manual controls were possible, we would have seen it by now.
Check out this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.flavionet.android.camera.pro . It's paid, but you can adjust ISO, custom exposure, save in PNG and some more. Don't know if some options work, but I tried it with longer exposure (10 secs, under very bad light) and while I got a black photo with stock camera, this got me something a bit better. But there is a lot of color loss with custom exposure (the pics turn out pinkish on the places where there's light).

Which application did you use eventually and you are able to take better looking photos?
I use Camera360 Ultimate - quite often, it takes full resolution photo, not HD or Full HD that's one of the reasons I use it.
you can also use lgcamera (not LG related). there is a thread in the app section
^^ +1 to that! Though I use it mainly for some custom video bitrate settings
This is a thread to report bugs in @Arnova8G2 google camera port. I'm creating this thread to personally report a bug, anyone else who uses the app and has an issue should feel free to post here as well.
App in question: drive. google.com/open?id=1IEf-BZQdk_SH3WVG3aev05pdiRpVqW68 (I am not allowed to post links yet, apologies.)
When reporting a bug:
Describe the issue

Mention @Arnova8G2
The main issue I am experiencing is the inability to take burst photos when holding down the shoot button. This feature functions properly in cstark's version. OIS also seems to not be functioning correctly, the viewfinder is shaky unlike stock camera app.
Log: hastebin .com/ezerufuduj.xml
Device Info: hastebin .com/uzamasocuw.http
I found a VERY strange solution to this. It turns out switching to the video mode, and back to the photo mode makes OIS work properly. It's worth noting I have added these lines in the build.prop to enable EIS in video, so even though I don't think they're necessary for OIS, if this method doesn't work for you then they're worth a shot:
persist.camera.eis.enable=1
persist.camera.is_type=5
persist.camera.is_mode=5
I don't think the 2nd and 3rd one do anything but they're worth mentioning I suppose.
Full stock here, no root, and I find the same issue with OIS. Though sometimes OIS goes wonky in the default camera app when you cycle zoom modes, at least on my phone. It's the main reason I don't use the app full time. I'm a shaky individual.
Not sure how well the Z3Z can get supported with the camera mod, but I'd be willing to test out if it ever came to. The quality is phenomenal to say the least compared to the PixelMaster Camera app. I've tried a bunch of different versions of the app but always come back to Arnova's.
EDIT: Tried cstark's version and the switch trick does work. And the faster initial processing makes this a keeper for now. All that's really missing is the OIS and I'd be a super happy camper.
Arnova's no longer works for me so I've been using cstark's version.
I wonder if we can get OIS and perhaps some autofocus fixes. I find it can be blurry when it auto focuses, but super sharp on a tap.

I ended up switching to cstark's as well. At this point all that's really needed is for the laser autofocus and the rgb sensor to work properly. I remember seeing cstark replying to a zenfone 3 user that he would look into laser autofocus, but I think the rgb sensor might be a lost cause for any camera that isn't stock.
By the way, the 2nd zoom camera doesn't have OIS, so if the stock camera switches to it, (past 2.3x zoom in a well lit environment) things get a lot more shaky.

I still find the Google Camera Mod takes better digital zoom point and click photos than the standard Pixel Master camera and the telephoto lens. ?
What else can we do to get some better device support? I would use the camera full time if the stabilization and focus were fixed. It's near perfect.
Could someone pass me the mod camera link from cstark to ZenFone 3 Zoom, please ?

Do you know guys why Arnova's v8.2 doesn't work with z3z ?
I'm still trying with Arnova's since I found the best result with Arnova's v6. However I want to keep being updated but yeah... am stuck in the v6.
Is there any information about requirements for each version, so I don't need to try those versions brutally one by one?

No clue. Maybe someone can pull a logcat.
I moved again to BSGs/Toylan but I think those are having issues too on newer versions.
If someone was close or had contact with the Devs I'm sure it would end up being great. The sensor in the camera is the same as a Pixel 2 if I recall correctly.
Hello. I am thinking of buying the zenfone 3 zoom. Does the ois still have problem with gcam. Are you talking for photos or video?
Furthermore, are there any low light comparison shots of stock vs gcam?
Things would work much better if there was full Camera2API. ASUS seems to have locked it to limited and the OIS is not exposed to the OS.
Otherwise CStark 4.2t3 has served me well. Enhanced HDR is stunning . Only missing some form of stabilization, but the video trick works.

So if I am getting it right, the OIS does not work while shooting pictures? This is really weird since the ois is not controlled by the camera app. Are you sure that it is not just a viewfinder bug? Did you try shooting without switching to video and got blurry images (i.e. camera shake) ?
Is there any way to full implement api2 by editing build.prop?
I am playing with my asus zenfone for a week. What I find is that the OIS is not a problem for gcam. The real problem is that it has difficulty in auto focusing especially in low light. The circle of focus does not remain steady unless you tap to focus.
Here a comparison of stock camera (custom settings regarding sharpening, contrast etc) vs gcam. First stock

Yeap. Here you are. First stock then gcam. In stock camera I have changed some settings (saturation, sharpening, contrast, noise reduction) since the default ones are really bad. The daylight photos of stock camera are Auto mode. The low light are with Manual mode but with all settings at auto (it has more natural results than auto). If you wish you can move the modes at stock and even change the default first mode.
