XDA Orbit In Car Cradle - General Accessories

Hi all,
we develop mobile data applications / tracking solutions and have switched to the XDA Orbit.
Does anyone know where we can buy a specific powered cradle for this device? Not looking for a universal solution has to be manufactured for the Orbit.

XDA Car Kit & XDAII

Hi All,
Just got XDAII after my XDA died a (watery) death.
I have the genuine O2 car kit for the XDA. (Yes I was foolish enough to pay that much.)
It's brand new in the box and isn't in my car at the present.
My question is, "Would I be able to use the XDAII in the XDA cat kit?"
I've been advised verbally that this won't be possible as there are differences in the connectors?
I thought these were the same.
The only thing I can think of is that given the variation in dimensions between the two models - the XDAII simply might not fit!?
If it is possible to use the original XDA car kit is any modding required?
Has anyone any experience of this they'd like to share?
Would I be losing out on any functionality by using the original kit?
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks to all.

Best Bluetooth GPS for TomTom 3 & XDA 2i

Hello all, I am new to the forum.
I have just got my 2i and love it. Want to do the satnav thing now, but would like to know the best BT gps unit to get, i have a Jabra bt headset & Satnav enabled car (screen mount) cradle.
As per my flag i am in the UK.
Many Thanks
I may not be popular for saying this but a cheap wired gps will give you a solution without the attendant agro of bluetooth.
I have an XDA III (ROM flashed to XDA2i O2 UK) and I use Tomtom 3 with the Tomtom Bluetooth GPS. So far I have had no problem at all. My wife uses it with the HP Ipaq 4150 with the same result.

O2 Xda Exec Vs O2 Xda IIs

Hi all...
I need help... I had an O2 Xda II & now i am planning to buy an O2 Xda IIs.
Could some users of IIs please give me some reviews on it.
Also, i hear that O2 is coming out with "XDA Exec" which is HTC Universal...
is it worth going in for IIs right now or should i wait for Exec?
Any idea on the launch price of Exec?
Look how the exec is used, search it on google, its like a mini laptop, if you like that style than thats a good phone for you. Personally I would say wait for exec because I like it more then IIs. IIs keyboard is loose, everyone in the world is missing the screw on the right side of there phone (comes out on all models and people lose it). I like my XDA IIs, but I perfer to get XDA EXEC or my XDA II back ;-).

HK$9000?! On ebay.co.uk you can get one for about $6200 on average, although there are different versions (I personally think the i-mate version is the best as it doesn't have the annoying operator software like O2 Active or something like that).

Wait for the exec... or wait for the exec II (if there will be one) as I am waiting for a Windows Mobile phone which has a built-in FM radio. That would be my dream phone!
Currently the exec (or equivalent like JasJar or MDA Pro) is about £450 on ebay.co.uk

So you need to wait for O2 Atom that coming soon see here
http://www.expansys.com.hk/product.asp?code=126950
O2 Atom --- My deam phone
Major difference between the two models:
OS (XDA IIs runs WM2003 SE by default; EXEC has WM5.0)
Camera = 1.3 vs 640x480
Just my two cents.

just ordered an o2 xda exec. some newbie questions

hi all,
i've just ordered my first smartphone, the xda exec (didn't know it was universal until after ordering), which i should receive monday.
i've got a few questions.
1. is there any recommended brand/size of sd card?
2. any must have software/accesories? i plan to use it mainly around the house.
3. is it relatively easy/cheap to use the exec for car based sat nav?
4. what is the screen like for watching movies?
5. i've got a motorola hs850 bt headset, will this work fine with the exec?
thanks for any answers left.
