Hi,
I'm thinking of getting an o2 XDA Orbit and would like to be able to use the media player to play mp3's in my car, can you get one of the FM transmitters that are used with mp3 players like on of these and just plug it in? or isn't it that easy?
Whoops, very sorry. Just had a thorough look around and found the same post HERE Can this be locked/deleted please.

Hi,
i was wondering if there were any bluetooth headsets out there that was compatible with the O2 XDA II mini and had music capabiliities. I'm really gettin tired of replacing my stereo headset everytime it breaks.
Thanks
Yes, there are plenty out there.
Just do a search on a shopping site for Bluetooth headsets that support A2DP then using a patch available on this forum, you'll be able to listen to music (from your Mini) and accept phones calls.
I am looking for an MP3 player who has MP3's recorded on a Flash Drive to the car FM Radio. Listen to MP3 Audio Books and Music on the way to work and also it should be small, good battery life, & cheap etc. If you know this type of MP3, please tell me.
Thanks!

My GF bought an MP3 player based on the reviews and thought it would work very well without any interference with the other FM stations being broadcast.
I tuned and set this up for channels where there was no FM broadcast, as this would be the best way to reduce any interference. It works fine and the sound output is good.
I recommend you for this player. I think the site is www.goliathbargains.com
Good luck
not sure which one of us misunderstod what he said
i understod it as a standalone player
and you understod that it had to broadcast to the fm band too
of cause it could be that he want it all
Hello friends, I searched here and found nothing about it, then I ask for help from you to help me with radio apps. One app you tune in local stations, which also appears the name of the singer and song name, already researched the market but without success, but have online radios, I like the app radio standard from SGS, but it seems that no this function to show the music data, or have one?? I did not think that the related option. Thanks.
I don't think that information can be readily displayed through an RDS stream without the station providing the data first. I know in my car stereo I get a lot of info when listening to BBC Radio1 in the UK but it is just a basic description of what the channel is broadcasting. I may be wrong (would like a radio app that does what you want too) but I don't think it can be done unless maybe you use a song recognition app like Midomi or Shazam to find out what the songs are
hhhmmmm ok i trying search
TuneIn Radio
I found TuneIn Radio was really good. Check it out. Dunno if it's exactly what you're looking for.
Its all upto your radio station to send the data out on RDS, If they don't then too bad.
What about creating a radio app that in the background uses the Shazaam-service to find the title of the song?
Im trying to have the tunein radio app or even youtube to play through my car speakers without connecting an aux cable?
it's entirely possible... read car manual to connect Phone to car BT.
Then...... read car manual to make sure it supports A2DP or the "headphone" profile.
if it doesn't support the stereo headphone, then music won't play over BT... "headset" profile is the one that allows you to pick up calls, but it's the headphone profile that allows music to play.
So if your car's BT connection doesn't support "headphone" profile, you're SOL.
Or buy a five dollar fm modulator to transmit audio over your cars fm radio. They often include a cradle and charger...

I'm seriously considering moving to this phone. Can someone verify that stock sends media metadata (artist, title..) across Bluetooth?
Thank you!

Nobody?
I've seen threads about problems connecting to head units, but no comment on the media info.

If your headunit supports it via AVRCP, so does the phone. Verified using the AT&T firmware, stock (samsung) music player (didn't try the google music player) and a kenwood headunit.
Take care
