Remote SIM Acess - P3300, MDA Compact III General

I have a 06 VW Passatt with factory fit SatNav/Phone kit installed; my current Nokia E50 connects to the car kit via Bluetooth Remote SIM access thus allowing me to update the phone book to the cars instrument screen etc.
My question is that I have managed to connect a T-Mobile MDA Compact 3 using the Remote Sim access feature but the car was unable to upload or read the phonebook.
Has anybody successfully connected the two devices together and utilised the phone kits full features?

How to Connect O2 Mini S to Mercedes Bluetooth Kit

Hi, Im new here.... Just have a question,
I have an O2 Mini S that I want to pair to a Mercedes Car Kit.

XDA Orbit with VW Passat Bluetooth

Hi,
I hope this is the correct forum.
I have a VW Passat with factory fit bluetooth setup. I am having a problem and can't seem to get the car and phone to see each other.
Would anyone have any advice? I tried a soft reset on the phone and made sure bluetooth was enabled and searching.
Thanks
Hi
I too have a VW Passat, you need to set your handset to use Remote SIM mode, on my HTC3300 this program can be found by going to Start>Programs.
Once you have activated Remote SIM, switch on your Bluetooth and tell the Car to search for the device, once found, pair as normal.
You must set the Car to read your SIM memory only, if you do not the phonebook update will not read your contacts.
My VW factory fit works perfect, the only downside is that you have to save your contacts from your Outlook contacts direst to your SIM card.
Also when using Remote SIM you cannot use the phones GPRS connection, if you use Tom-Tom Traffic than you have to disconnect the phone to update...what a pain.......
If you get stuck, just mail me.
Thanks for the reply.
I can't seem to find the remote sim option. Any idea where it might be on the Orbit?
Thanks!

[Q] Sony xperia m parrot bluetooth pairing problem

Any advice?
Parrot Mki9100 hands free bluetooth system fitted in car and in good working order.
Have successfully paired new phone (Xperia M) with device.
However, Parrot screen states 'phonebook busy, please wait' continuously.
Have updated Parrot system software without success and factory re-booted this device.
Have tried allowing and denying access to phonebook, headphone etc. on phone but no difference.
Kit is paired with other phones without same problem.
Have emailed Parrot who states that it's a problem with phone.
I can use the phone but unable to use voice recognition system, i have to use manual 'jog' wheel and buttons to navigate through phonebook to get to correct contact.
Also, phone does not automatically connect when i start the car, i have to manually do this via the phone.
Any ideas on any settings or patches i can install on phone?
I am happy that its a problem with this make/model of phone as other are and can be paired easily.
any help much appreciated.
Mike
I occasionally fit these exact kits myself in my line of work (mechanic) and I've had no issues with them as I use my phone to test them out. Have you got auto connect setup on phone? Also the memory of the phone book on these kits is not large same with paired phones so it might not be able to get contacts due to lack of internal memory in the kit. Have you done a hard reset of the kit? Next one I get ill test and pm you my results and any tips I find

I have a Parrot ck3000 and it does pair well with my M ss routed. The problem is that in a call (either outgoing or incoming) the communication is not stable: after a few minutes the bluetooth communication drops.
I've also used a number of apps such as MonoBluetooth, BTHeadSet, BTmono etc. without any result. Wifi, HFC and Stamina mode are not the cause. I'm about to give up !!!

[Q] Bluetooth car connection

Hi,
My car has a bluetooth kit witch it works well with my previous phones (iphone and BB Z10) but when I connect my G3 to the car Bluetooth module the phone disconnects and remote SIM is activated. Although I'me able to make phone calls, read and send text messages from the car phone module I can't use any apps in the phone that require internet connection (such as WAZE) neither I can't receive any emails.
Is there any way to connect my G3 to my car without activating the REMOTE SIM mode?
Regards,
Emanuel
Solver. I managed to disable it in my BT dar options.

Music streaming in remote sim mode

Hi
I'm a proud owner of the Lg g4 and I'm really happy with it. Just one thing is bothering me. Wenn I connect it via Bluetooth with my car it uses the remote sim mode. This works great for phone calls over the car, but I'm not able to stream music at the same time, because the phone hasn't got access to the sim card
Does anybody know a way to use the phone for calls and streaming in the car?

Why do you need acces to the sim for playing music? No need for that. You have to pair car's mediaplayer to the phone. What car you need to connect to?
Maybe this thread will help.

I have a VW T5. the phone connects automatically in the remote sim mode, I suppose that's necessary in order make phone calls over the car system. But, as I said, I can't use the sim card for the phone at the same time for streaming

After the phone connects to the car, look for a menu called "Bluetooth" on Information Cluster. Inside this menu, you will find another one called "Media Player". Go inside and open the third one, called "paired devices". Look for "G4" menu, select "connect" and that's all. I have a VW also, and BT streaming works flawless in my car.
If you still have issues, please tell me the BT module part number (should be under passenger seat) and your head unit version (RCD/RNS 510, etc).
Bluetooth streaming works fine as long as the content is already on the phone what doesn't work is streaming from the Google play cloud, because the phone is on the remote Bluetooth mode. It can't use the Internet because the sim card is used by the car. It sounds way more complicated than it is...

If you need streaming from Internet, you have two choices:
1. You have to buy one of these two modules: 3C8 035 730 D or 3C8 035 730 E. These two modules can make a WiFi hotspot in your car thus you can connect to the Internet using WiFi
2. If your BT module supports HFP protocol, you can change connection mode from premium to handsfree. You will be able to use your phone's data connection, no more rSAP mode (remote SIM mode)
Of course, the best option is the first one, but it involves spending more than one hundred bucks... but it worth
