I wanted to try Ivan and Helmi ROMs but both of them are telling me that the rapi.dll is missing when I launch the RUU !
Does anyone has any information on the issue???

I have just upgraded my XDA2 to Windows mobile 5 but have the following problems
My I try and sync with Activesync 4 the pc freeze's and resets itself?
Also how do I go about setting up MMS as there is no MMS settings / software installed
I downloaded the Rom from Buzz 160.c
Please help I'm going mad

Where find WM5 ROM
I've see you already install the WM5, i really need to find that ROM for my XDAII can you give me a link to find it. I've try to buzz website but found ROM for Himalaya and the ROM version is 1.60.00WWE. I already upgrade my ROM into 1.72.00WWE from www.o2.co.uk but the OS is WinCE 4.20.
So is it ok to upgrade my O2 XDAII ROM with Himalaya XDAII ROM ? If something wrong can i rollback with older version ?
You cannot compare ROM numbers from (un)official WM 2003(SE) ROMs with those of unofficial WM 5.0 ROMs.
WM 5.0 1.60c ist much newer than WM 2003 1.72.xx

I don't know if any of you gurus would find a moment to help me out... But I got an spv m5000 (orange's Universal) but just the phone and a usb cable. No software, earpiece etc. NOW, I'd like to put on the qtek9000 pocketpc software, is this available for free? Is this what you guys call a ROM? Basically, I wanna know if its safe to delete its present OS and try and install the qtek one... AND how do you do it...? Thanks a bunch! Lastly, is there a free voice recorder app?? Orange's doesn't come with one... so does the qtek come with one?

Hey the link has been great, but I'm still confused as to if its safe to try and flash the qtek rom.... not having any backup software...?
you may try to back-up your contacts and appointments to pc with activesync and then reinstall the rom and start from the scratch with new software or you may try a back-up software like sprite back-up or spb back-up...
I have updated my ROM many times without problems, but I have read most of the topics about it before doing that operation for the first time.
I'll suggest to try Helmi's or Indra's AKU 3.3 ROM with radio 1.13.00 or 1.14.10

when i try to update the phone to HTC HK WM6 rom form Imate WM5 through WMDC 6.1 in vista i get this ERROR [264] : CONNECTION messege.
can somebody please help me here, what am i doing wrong?
iam simply running the exe file and following the steps, i also tried putting it into bootloader mode manually.

try it on a XP machine... i had similar problems on a XP Media Center computer and had to use a "normal" XP SP2 too

can you tell me what ROM have you upgraded on your phone? which phone? and how is the performance?
You need to change some services in Vista even if I don't actually remember which ones...I did a Google search and I found the solution...Hope this helps

My first post here. I could do with some help from the masters.
I have recently bought from the auction site an Axim X51v with WM6 OS on it (Windows Mobile 6 Classic)
CE OS 5.2.1908 (Build 18508.0.7.0).
I have installed several things after that (Resco Media Centre, Core Player, Opera 8.65, etc.) and have noticed that whenever a reminder pops up my PPC freezes and in order to use it again I need soft reset.
Is thid bug something that people have encountered before and if yes is there a cure against it? it is very annoying to have to do it on a permanent basis.
Is there any updates or fixes I need to install/upgrade/flash in order to get it up an running?

OK, obviously nobody would explain to me why the Calendar freezes my Axim but at least I hoped that someone could tell me whether I could flash it to the latest WM 6.1 and whether it would be possible from my WM 6.0 A03.

I use a company sim which doesn't allow data in anyway (no MMS / No 3G / No GSM) only through the USB / Wireless / Bluetooth.
The reason I ask is because the rom i'm using seems to have a memory leak, and needs daily rebooting.
I currently use the AthineOS on the TyTnII and quite like it.
I have tried many roms, and although they work reasonably well, I could do with something a little more "personalised"

After all step of checking ROM version, start updating only (0%), my PDA reset and error.

i assume that you use an official rom or you have flashed official spl.
