Hi All,
Was wondering if anyone could provide any advice on this issue that i am facing between the V-Three BTH-8 and my Dopod 900.
Recently bought a BTH-8. this unit has a OLED screen on the headset itself. the screen is able to display caller ID, signal strength and battery remaining. its also supposed to be able to scroll last received numbers and the phoonebook.
it all sounded great till after a few weeks of using it, i found that the phonebook thing doesnt work, and the noise cancelling either is not working or working in overdrive.
when making a call, intermittenly, the other party cannot hear anythign that i am saying and hears only everything else around me. so either the 'other' noise is not being cancelled out or my voice is being cancelled out.
when in a completely silent environment, it works fine.
i have brought the headsetback to the local service center (which is not a pleasant journey) and was told.....now get this..... "this unit doesnt works all that well with PDA phones".
so before i go and receive the same answer from the local dealer for the Dopod 900., i was hoping if anyone can advise me on any tweaks that i may try.
i believe you guys will be able to provide a better solution compared to the doorknobs i get at the service centers here.
Anyone? anything?

Hi everyone,
so far i've been very happy with my new orbit, had it around a week now and all is good except for now my Motorola HS 850 isn't working with the Orbit as I'd liked..
This headset has worked flawlessly with the Exec, absoloutley no issues whatsoever, change the to Orbit and now, when pressing the button to pickup an incoming call, the other caller cannot hear me - I can hear them. I then press the switch to discontinue the call, close the flip to disconnect and then wait 5-10 seconds, open the flip so it re-connects and by that time the caller may call back and sometimes it's then good and a normal convo ensues and other times it still won't transmit my voice.
Frustrating ! - anyone else had this? know of any resolutions? tips? tricks? registry tweaks etc?!
Any pointers will be greatly appreciated!
Cheers! Dennis! West London UK!
I've had the same with my Wizard. The HS850 worked great with my old Motorola phone but when paired with the Wizard I need to scream until my lungs bleed in order for someone at the other end to hear me. Very frustrating. There were a load of suggestions over here.
I tried them all and it didn't help me but you're welcome to give it a shot. If you do ever crack this one, could you PM me with details (or a link to your posted solution).

Hi guys, hope you can help with an odd problem...
Very, very occasionally (maybe 1 in 50 calls) I get an issue where I can't hear the other party, as if the earpiece was dead. If I drop the call and re-dial, 99% of the time everything is fine. (I think I had one time in 6 months where the 2nd call did the same.)
Now, I can't decide if this is a network issue (Vodafone) or a phone issue. I mostly use a Bluetooth headset due to the size of the Note but I doubt it's headset related as I have tried two different high end brands and it happens with either.
Things I have noticed:
Problem applies to incoming AND outgoing calls
I have checked I haven't accidently muted the call
My Bluetooth headsets all chime at the start of a call but there is no call audio
The other party can hear me but I can't hear them
System sounds are all fine, only call audio is affected
Switching between headset, phone and speaker phone make no difference
Applies to all incoming call audio, including ringing tones and busy tones
I reboot my phone sometimes but as the issue is rare I couldn't say if it makes a difference. Also this is a standard Note II (not a branded Vodafone one) with all the latest patches downloaded. Looking through my app downloads I can't see any obvious ones that might affect the phone. Apart from the stock Samsung apps I most connect to CCTV systems. I have CSipSimple but I haven't used it in ages.
Any suggestions on how to investigate this further?
Regards,
Andy
Seriously... no ideas?
So, no one's ever had this problem and no one has any ideas?!
:crying:

No such issues on my device... ZE551ML.... Did it happen after the latest OTA or u were facing this problem from the start? I think u have a faulty device...If it is under warranty get it exchanged immediately
I got same sort of problem when I make a call or receive one I can hardly hear them in Asus app says something about hearing aid in call settings but nothing there

I got it from flip kart, the worst online retailer. I've contacted them within 3 months to complaint about this. For a month they ve responded. After that they have ignored all my emails completely. They haven't responded anything and provided completely faulty item. Not even provided any compensating. I'm now ended with a faulty one and facing lot of issues. My money ended up in vain. Same issues. Can't hear voice from speaker and me too can't hear anything. Don't know how to claim back my money or replacement either. Some one can help me how to claim a fraudulent activity against Flipkart.
Nexus 5X, Stock 8.1.0 with security patch level 5 April 2018.
If I make or receive a call, the other party cannot hear me, my voice is severely muted and garbled. I've tested this by leaving messages on my home phone and all suffer from exactly this.
Now the microphone itself seems to be fine - WhatsApp voice messages are perfectly clear, I installed a voice recorder app to check and the recordings are good. Google voice searches also work fine.
I've done a factory reset. I've uninstalled updates to the Google Phone app. I've swapped SIMs. I've tried alternative dialers. I've turned on/off 2G /3G /4G. But my voice calls are always rubbish.
Anyone have any ideas as to what might be going on or suggestions as to what else to try?
Thanks!
Hi
I'm just visiting here with the same problem. I've been getting complaints about call quality from my end for a little while and it's driving me mad trying to be heard, often it starts off okay, then degrades rapidly after a few minutes, other times its from the start of the call. I've done the same as you, the mic tests fine in other apps, and sometimes it works okay. I did a complete factory reset which did seem to improve things but the problems returned, and no, I hadn't added any apps in between it working and going back to being terrible.
I've also tested calling my home answer phone and leaving a message to see what people are complaining about, and it is just constant drop outs. This happens over Wi-Fi calling, and over the network (EE network/UK), so it's not a reception problem. I've also used a plug in headphones with microphone and it's the same problem.
I really didn't want to buy another device at this time, but to me it's looking like a hardware problem.

Phil

Before I did the factory reset I had tried turning off noise reduction in the build.prop as recommended to try but it made no difference.
It sounds to listen too as though it's a faulty connection, and I'm thinking now this might be related to the reboot loops caused by connection problems, and this has the same cause, broken connections on the main chip. It's odd the sound is okay when recording sound or video, however that might simply be because the sound is being routed and processed elsewhere, and it's only when it's compressed for a call and routed via the Qualcomm modem that it's affected by a faulty connection. This would explain why sometimes for me it is okay, or starts of on a call okay then as the phone warms up the connection starts breaking.

Hi
I've now upgraded to a Pixel XL 2 as I needed to be able to be heard on calls and the 5X was out of warranty and LG didn't want to know. I really didn't want to upgrade quite so soon. The XL with the same SIM card on the same mobile network is all good and everyone can hear me, plus I have the benefit of VoLTE.
I believe the microphone problem is hardware related, most likely the same cause as the boot loop issues where the CPU or board has some broken solder connections. It sounds like a broken connection, and explains why it has progressively become worse. It's a pain as usually when I upgrade my phone gets handed over to another family member, but I can't do that with the broken 5X.

Hi there,
So i bought redmi note 5 global version which seems to be identical to note 5 pro. Problem is during skype calls and even phone calls the recipient can not hear me clearly most of the time. Sound becomes muffled and incomprehensible, person can hear me but can't make out what i am saying. It does not happen constantly, issue comes and goes. I am on 9.6.4 MIUI version.
Does anyone experience the same issue? Could it be firmware issue or charging pcb microphone issue. I don't feel like dealing with warranty since i have sensitive data on my phone, i spent ages setting everything up and it would probably take long time to get it back. I was thinking to replace microphone pcb myself since they can be purchased for 10 buckaroos and replacement it is easy and straightforward.
Does anyone have some insight into the problem or has dealt with it themselves.
Cheers
miui 10 is out
please upgrade and try
So i upgraded to MIUI 10 and issue persists, doing some reading it seems during voice call apps like skype top noise canceling mic goes bananas and messes up sound for recipient.
I feel changing bottom mic pcb won't do anything. There were posts about disabling noise canceling but for some reason those posts are taken down.
Does anyone know a fix other than throwing my phone against the wall. I need to use skype a lot, i've gotten used to my lil redmi, would be shame to buy smth else.

Have you tried this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/re...gisk-fix-bad-camcorder-audio-quality-t3828711
It fixes the static background noise in recorded videos, but it might work in skype too
I have the same issues like Dzessi.
Mic is an garbage, unusable. Allmost all the time is not working properly, expecially in games or apps (voice chat) is low, high, diatorcions, radio white sharping noise, echo. I ve tryd everything on YouTube an papa Google, nothing solve it. I receive it in September as my bd gift, and I can't enjoy it, so frustrating I never write so many mesages on apps since I ve got an Java phone, nobody wants to voice chat anymore, (my brother recorded me and send me the voice message on whatsapp) well, I didn't voice chat whit me allsow in that horrible noise. If someone can help me solve this I ll be so happ. thanks in advance
I also have the same problem. Some say that some of you talk nice we do not hear you. Does anyone know the way to overcome it?
