Ivan vs Jwrightmcps - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro Software Upgrading

I feel a sudden urge to reflash my firmware, using one of Ivans older beta's something tells me that its Beta 12.
Not noticed Jwrightmcps's ROM before, and see that it has quite a lot of cool stuff bundled with it !!
What are the major differences ??

Haven't updated ROM since July ..

I wasn't following the new ROM developments for a while, I assume it has progressed far from what it was in July last year. I've also seen hints that WM6.5 will be officially released soon.
Is it worth upgrading now with one of the latest 6.1 ROMs now, or wait for 6.5 release (ideally I would avoid hassle of backing up data and re-installing all programs I've configured in the last several months more than once) ?
What are the most important features introduced in new ROMs since summer last year ?
Is there any ROM closely matching the original ROM, but with all bugs fixed, optimised and updated with latest versions of standard apps ?
Thanks a lot !
Wait...
Personally, I'd wait for an official WM6.5 to be ported to the Diamond. The comments coming from the beta version are very promising... many new finger-friendly features, but the 'honeycomb' launcher is still very 'buggy'. When there's an official version ported I'll be trying it for sure.
Having said that, if you can't wait, try AZTOR's X2 Ultimate. In my opinion, it's by far the best cooked ROM around - if you like your ROM's close to the original. I like understatement... this thing looks like it's a 'normal' v2.03 ROM from HTC, but under the hood, it's super-charged with all the latest drivers and applications
Thanks mate, that's what I needed !

Vogue 21234 Rom avaliable

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=69530
has anybody tried this new rom out yet, they claim it is bare bones? i take it this must be the newest 6.5 build?
just to let everybody know this is a fast, lean rom, works great!
2 thumbs up for this rom, no bugs or crashes at all!
2nd version available
There is also version 21725 available. Both roms are great, but I must say this latest one is the best one that I have tried.

One question guys, is this version 21725 the rtm??
because they just came out with it and are saying that has no bugs and is ultra stable and all that.

Which ROM - sorry, i'm out of touch now

Sorry guys, I haven't flashed my rom in months - last time i did the 2 most popular were LeeDroid and Oxygen.
What are people using these days? What are the most popular ones?
Thanks!
I'm running Oxygen 2.0.2, since I want a fast, stable and minimum system
Hey. check this thread out, its got a poll that might help you decide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=846926
personally im running leedroids latest still. holding out untill ginegerbread
sense. i dipped my toes in the waters of HD sense roms and CM but always
came back to leedroid.
I'm Running Redux 1.1.1 RC2 at the moment, Not had a problem with it (well infact I have, I found a very minor bug, reported it and it's going to be fixed for RC3 apparently )
I am running RCmixHD 3.5.1 ... and curious about the selling point of leedroid, better a comparison....
i personnally think Cyanagen 7, but its still testing so not 100% great yet
so recommend Oxygen
that is of course assuming you dont want sense

Best rom for s4 mini LTE

hello guys I'm new in the forum ... Can you tell me what the best rom for s4 mini based on lollipop
hi, I was just about to start the same thread.
I had 2 or 3 custom roms installed but I had some bluetooth and camera issues so I went back to stock, but it's so bulky I actually started to consider buying the new Moto G.
Can you recommend some fast and stable rom? It doesn't matter if it's 4.4, 5.0 or whatever. I just want it extra smooth and stable. What is the most stable and lightweight custom rom for 9195?
Try the latest snapshot of CyanogenMod for your model (serranoltexx) in combination with a good & up to date Gapps package...maybe OpenGapps
I´m using Mokee (http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...t/5-1-1-rom-mokee-opensource-project-t3109249) as my daily driver and its working flawlessly
My setup
I'm on the release branch of serranoltexx and only update on new releases (called snapshots there). I was on nightly before and it was actually pretty stable, but found it was not worth the time to update it all the time.
I've however flashed a custom kernel, "f4ktion_lp_2.3.1-eur_lte", and I'm overclocking it to 2GHz on demand (didn't quite feel for maxing it out, be careful). I'm using SetCPU for this. I can't remember but I think I needed "PerformanceControl-2.2.6.apk" to unlock the overclocking tho.
Other than that I'm using the standard Wakelock detector and BetterBatteryStats to keep battery life good. (I know this is not the ROM, just saying as you sound a little green).
That's about it. Remember to keep good NANDroid backups on your SD card each time you install a new kernel / ROM, or update your existing one (before hand). I also like to, when making a clean install, keeping a NANDroid of my clean install with all my apps installed and configured.
WHAT I DON'T GET HOWEVER, is that you are saying you are having stability issues? Mine is running as a dream. (i9195 bought in Denmark, unlocked, 1 year old max, the old dual core version).
I'm on serranoltexx 12.1 (Android 5.1) and it's working beautifully. The only thing I see is gallery errors when trying to add an image from the gallery to a contact. I've seen this on a lot of ROM's, it's weird.

hi,
I installed the original CM12.1 yesterday and I'm really happy for now so BIG THANK U, I suppose I was just too extra careful. Things got much improved since I last had CM installed on my mini; R4GM1X - just install the newest stable 12.1 and you'll be as happy as I am now.

Is Nougat stable now?

It's been 2 months since I've bought the Lenovo P2, and I love it. It's any amazing phone. It runs marshmallow and it's very stable and I have no problems. But I've learnt that Nougat has multitasking, which is something I really want. I've seen that the nougat update hasn't been the most stable when it first rolled out. Is it stable now or should I stick with MM?
You're implying here that they made changes after they rolled the N update. Which they didn't. And will never do. N is the same since its release. On the other hand, I don't see where should it be not so stable ? It was very stable since the beginning of it.
I agree been stable ever since i installed and they havent updated anything.
It has it's share of bugs but compared to the marshmallow build it is way better.
For me, nougat is rock stable. No issues so far.
I'm using Nougat on my P2 since day 1. Rock Stable, not a single problem. (did a factory reset after upgrade)
As above. Nougat is rock solid. Used it since I bought my phone.
It's my daily phone and never experience any crashes, app freezes etc.
Yes it still has a couple of bugs but they don't get in the way of daily use.
I also did a factory reset when I installed nougat as my VOLTE wasn't working but after a reset it is working fine.
