MDA III - the T-Mobile next XDA - is out. Anybody got any unlock info or tips?
I would also like this, as I got my T-Mobile one today.
I just want my O2 sim card on it!
I had to pay T-Mobile £15 to give me the unlock code for my UK MDAIII
Guys,
I'm on TMo US with German MDAIII, can you guys upload your ROM image? What version do you phones have? Did they come with a BlackBerry Client on it?
Thanks,
02
Does anyone have the 02 IIs extrom can you upload
Thanks
i have just bought the latest Xda IIs from O2 UK. and i would like to put my Vodafone sim in this mobile. could anyone just give me some suggestion on it? i used to try the Xda II unlock software on it, but it seems errors. especially the way to bootloader mode. it seems different way to that mode between Xda II and Xda IIs.
Yeah - bumping that request - got my IIs now, and would lurve someone to manage to unlock??
I am going mad with O2 Cust Service Hotline
"It is impossible"
"12 months later"
"Bring it to O2 Store they are happy to do for you straight away"
Anyone have some experiences in unlocking phone with O2?
Please tell us the :technique:
I hope xda-developers.com can develop an unlock tool specially for Blue Angel. Many thanks.
I am planning to get a XDAIIs in a very short time coz I will be travelling overseas 1 week later.
Because of that I need to unlock my XDAIIs......anyone tried to approach O2 and get his IIs unlocked (for a fee or whatever)?

Seems XDA II can be "unblock", how about IIs?
Thanks everyone!
PS: I can't see MDA III from T-Mobile UK on its website, or in shop few days ago, is it really released in UK? If it is unlockable for 15pounds I am happy to pay for it, but I like the black colour of IIs more.
Thanks again!
Hi all, newbie to the forum here.
I too like the black casing of the XDA IIs as opposed to the MDA III, PDA2k, etc. and would like to know if it's possible to unlock this phone.
I'd also like to know if, once unlocked, it's possible to put a different ROM on the device, like the imate PDA2k ROM or the UK MDA III ROM.
In reading through the forum, it seems that there's not much information about the XDA IIs yet, but any information that can be provided would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Would some kind helpful clever person out there in XDALand please develop an unlock tool for the XDAIIs !!!
O2 CS keep telling me different things..........take to any O2 shop, after 12mths, no can't do.....blah blah
I am very happy to donate euro's to the clever chap(s) who can develop the same tool as for the trusty XDAII........
maybe we can start a chain of fellow forum members who are also prepared to chip in !
I will start by offering 20euros............Paypal of course or any other appropriate method ................there could be a healthy little pot at the end of this thread eventually !!
Hi
I hace puchased a porgram that purports to unlock the O2 XDA IIs, but haven't tried it yet as I'm only at the beginning of my 12 month contract and do not intend leaving this country.
Do you want to give it a try?

Re: O2 Xda IIs
Hi!
The other day I bought a MDA III but I can´t use as a mobile phone because of the simlock. I am waiting for a new tool to get my unlock code, which only depends on your IMEI. Until now, you have to pay 15 pounds to T-mobile if you want to unlock your SIM, but I hope in this page somebody will be able to make a tool like xda2unlock.exe for the XDA II. If somebody has got to unlock the MDA III´s SIM, let us know, please. Thanks.
XDA2s Unlock prog.
Can you confirm if the unlock program worked. I'd be willing to pay also for the facility to unlock the xda 2s, provided it worked.
unlock xdaiis
I've been trying to get my device unlocked. I previously owned svp m1000 and unlocked it successfully. On this occasion, I attempted to bootload it. Don't seem to find the bootloader mode.
Am I doing it wrong?
Can I use the same unlocking software, or must I have another?
Please someone help.
Thanks

Me Too any Help is appreciated O2 just pass the buck !!!
Try
http://forum.xda-developers.com/vie...=25&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=unlock
It has a unlock tool in it, Alas I am not sure if its the sim unlock or the Extenedrom unlock as my sim was never locked in the first place.
And to the O2 users can somebody upload
Voice Dialer (on Companion CD) on to our the ftp site.
When you unlock your extendedrom can you please rar/zip it and upload it as well:
ftp.xda-developers.com/BlueAngel/BlueAngel_Extended_Roms
with user xda and Password xda
(you will need a ftp tool as your the internet explorer will error on you)
File name should be operator_country_Language_Extendedromversion
Languge is WWE for english, Version number can be found under settings, device info.
Hope that was of some help
xda IIs unlock
Are you sure that unlocking the extended rom removes simlock? From what i read in another post it does not.
No I am not, On my MDAIII I was able to unhide the extenedrom but never used the other option (Unlock) so I dont know what its for.
it does just what it says : unlocking the extended rom folder. Has got nothing to do with the simlock. These are two very different things....

XDA IIs unlock
I am willing to donate (via paypal) £15 or more if anyone can develop an unlock code that works for XDA IIs. I am so angry, I called 02 cs, I was told to go to a store. On getting there nil, I met two young ******* who know nothing. :?I ws told 02 store dont nlock phones. :!: Called cs again, Had to order an unlocking code (02 is charging £15) that will take 21 days. 21 days???. I m off to South Africa in next two days. Nope 02 cs would not have it. The unlock code will not work unless I m in the UK. I have never heard **** like that before. So I am stuck. I have to carry two phones cos of my contacts and emails.
I have changed my mind.. .. the unlock starting bid is now from £20! :x
Who has MDA-Pro can apparently ask T-mobile to unlock the phone for free / for 25 Pounds.
I-mate - unlock Jasjars.
as for Orange no idea yet.
And O2 - Can't / Wont / Dont wanna.
any one knows who can unlock execs? even a shop that actullay takes money!!
search
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=31595
and try searching in the forum for the device it's called universal and it's upgrading it forum had many posts about the subject
Hi,
I am not sure how useful this will be to you, but my XDA Exec was already unlocked when I bought it (Direct from O2).
Mine was purchased in the UK, I don't know if it will be the same for those bought elsewhere?
Are you sure that yours is actually locked to O2? It might be the case that it is not locked at all. Have you tried inserting a sim from another network to see what happens?
Best of Luck.
P
Ditto
My O2 XDA Exec also is unlocked from the factory, tested with Orange & Vodafone SIM Cards successfully
