Date Items on new ROM...how the hell...

Hi,
I can't beleive that I have to use 2 lines to show date Item on today with this new ROM! How can I hack the reg in order to optimize space on my today screen?

What is the @NNN number
The @NNN number you see on your display is Internet Time, as defined by Swatch.

At @562, I was completely informed
Now, how do I get it away as I hardly ever have any need for it.
Or is this not possible. I mean, there are different formats possible for
the date and the time, but the time has no mentioning whatsoever of this Swatch-time.

New version will include support for date & time formats either on the left and/or the right of the screen (and maybe the center!), format support for swatch internet time, and font-size overriding.

Is it possible to add an alarm bell time if it's turned on? Just like the normal WM5 plugin? And maybe the active alarms time too? :wink:
I personally don't use swatch time and I prefer alarm time

Hi any update on this?

Hi, i'm posting a little wm_paint bug.
When switching from poirtrait to landscape mode, time is hidden by a scrollbar if any.
Any way to check the existence of the scrollbar?
I'd like to see the clock icon as in the original version also (nuttin important however).

I found the problem cuz Im the only one, LOL

So do u see the Viet flag and the Viet telco logo above this post? Dont u think they are too big? Seems like I'm the only Vietnamese actually living in Vietnam and active here so you guys havent seen this template bug so far

Can't get it to work on my Trophy... did the email, save, use it as wallpaper thing and its black, no transparency.

File is 410Kb in size and PNG format. Wallpaper cant be password protected and the transparency only works after you start scrolling the screen up.

Hi hboos,
Try sending it from another account, as Avandor did. I sent mine from my Hotmail account. When you download, don't download the entire message. Click on the PNG attachment and then wait a few moments. Once the 'cancel' button next the attachment disappears, click again. This should open it in the picture viewer with the option to set as wallpaper. I'll update the blog post to see if anyone else with an Omina has tested it.

if you save the image and change it from the saved image then it doesn't work..

Thanks for the feedback guys! It's strange that the transparency is lost if you load the image via the normal route. Might be one of the reasons the Zune software doesn't sync PNG files.

Created a new one for fun. Takes advantage of the fact that the screen isn't loaded until the lock screen is activated.

Hello! I saw that some users (developers) are "recognized developers". Can i be too? I made a custom ROM, and an utility (Androtility, look at my signature). If not, what must I do, and what are the benefits?

Good question, I dont really consider myself a developer, but I have been maintaining CM7-Ascend, just ported CM7 to the LG Optimus C LW690 with assistance from BobZhome using inferiorhumanoids repo as a base (repo is setup real nice for the LG Optimus line). And I have ported CWM to a few devices, Ascend 2 M865, Micromax A70, LG Optimus C LW690, and working on a few more. Currently working on porting CM7 to the Huawei Ascend II M865. Also have a couple of cooked ROM for the Ascend and Ascend II.

Funny question - how to become that developer
I finally realized - the proud name "recognized developer" is assigned to the person who managed to create bootable rom for his device and upload it to file hosting..... These two tasks - kitchen usage and internet skills - are quite enough.....
I suppose you would make a rom with someone's kitchen. Then clone it with the help of different lang packs to several languages. Then - upload all these roms (hopefully still bootable) to file hosting. Then - start several topics here with one link to uploaded rom in each thread.

Micromax a70 struck while booting
I bought this mobile on 10th of this month... And installed applications named ninjamorph...
It said with that we can change the notification bar colour... Tried with it and rebooted the phone,
and it doesn't boot up now... Pls help me, when tried to reflash it with the service center, they
are responding negative that they couldn't install the software... Can you pls guide me to install the
stock rom back... bcoz the boot screen and all is working perfectly... pls help me out sir...

Hey guys, I was curious about how this works. I submitted my form and is there a cycle we wait on? Do you review all that have accumulated over two weeks and then repeat the process, or something like that? I'm not in a hurry by any means but I was just wondering how the review process works. To sum it up quickly...
LOADS of people apply and a few people have to sort through all the applications one at a time as and when they have free time to do so.
From what I can tell theres a lot of looking at users work and post history to determine whether or not they meet the criteria and each application can be quite time consuming so therefore it can take quite a while for applications to be processed.

Hallo,
what is happened with 2010 theme, anybody have in plan to make it working again? I'm using those theme for 9 years, shame somebody broke it, can you please fix theme 2010

Hello munjeni,
I don't know what's going to happen with the theme 2010 but my very personal assumption is that probably no spare time is available to look into bug fixes for that them - but as I said this is a very personal assumption.
As you see in bitpushr's statement all focus seems to be on a complete redesign of XDA what probably makes the theme 2010 anyway obsolete.

The 2010 theme still seems broken.
In fact, I couldn't even change back to other ones without going into my settings and forcing something else.
Then, for as much as I'm concerned 2013 remains my favorite.. but I'd just hope that we won't be forced on the newer themes one day. 2015 is cluttered and messy to hell and beyond.

Please refer to post #2 slightly above your post.

And one more thing, theme 2015 is set as a default on xda, but those theme is also not working good, e.g. when I open xda with my seccond (work) phone xperia go which have 3.5 inches screen there is apsolutly no way to see xda and no way to chose anything else, I can see only login screen, when I login my device freze because of bad java script coding & advertising windows. It worked on 2010 theme very good. In my opinion the best theme ever was xda 2010 theme, I'm used it for 9 years. I'm forced to use 2015 theme, theme is very slow, 10 secconds lag, java script isues, captcha in a new page, lag, lag, lag... soo bad. So huge index page which fill almost half of the phone memory wen loading, in my opinion its context need to be inside HIDE tag so only to see title without images and etc or to split it into more pages so make e.g. 10 devices per page. I understand how it is hard maintaining milion users & attachments but please do something! Who maintain those themes? Tell him that he not doing that right in my opinion.

Testing... here attached a zip.
The xda server admin told us he fixed something, so attachments should work now. But previous attachments that have been uploaded before the fix were probably not saved to the server, so it would have to be re-uploaded.

I have the feeling the reason is xda is working on a redesign of the website, so maybe they removed older themes to make room and welcome a new theme.

The 2010 theme was always my favorite. All the others were not very attractive and very bloated with too much "white space" for everything

Login isues on 2013 themes. Logout isues on 2015 themes, it must logout twice to get realy logout on 2015 theme. Please bring back 2010 theme.

2010 was the best theme no superlight superfine illegible fonts as things are these days in the name of being minimalistic etc.
The headers and text were the most legible and easy to read
Of course, the best is always laid to waste LOL

Actually we were discussing Attachment uploads for Posts (like picture or screen images...).

In 4 days every thing changes, so don't expect any fixing till then.
Having said that, try clearing browser cache or try a different browser, or try a different theme from the bottom of every xda page
