German Qtek 9000 ROM available?

Hello!
The Qtek 9000 is sold in Germany with a ROM dated middle October 2005.
Is this ROM also available for download somewhere?
Unfortunately I couldn't find it yet...
I would like to try it on my MDA Pro! :lol:

Well this is my biggest problem - I know how to flash the ROMs but not how to dump them. But I guess a little search in the forum here will help

I can't help you because I dont have a Universal (Qtek 9000) but I'm very interested in files of this ROM too!!!

Thank you for the links, I feel I'm very close to dump the german ROM.
But not done so far.
And I'm becoming impatient because I found the ROM I want to put in place.
Keep on helping me end pray for I resist not to flash the original german ROM. :twisted: :twisted:

just reading through this thread here. I have an original VDA-IV with an unchanged ROM. I am trying to convince myself to upgrade to JasJar or O2, but did not do so yet. Any wish for a dump from me ?

Maybe, we can have it a little easier, because I think, ROM dumping is very difficult and could also be hard to flash on other devices. For MDA compact (HTC Magician) for example, you had to edit the dumped ROM with a binary editor before it worked on other devices. Also, there often were problems with some SD card readers/writers, etc.
The best way would be getting a ROM update from the vendor (e.g Qtek) as a complete EXE-File. This could be flashed on other devices with the maupgrade_noid-Tool from xda developers FTP server.
So, it would be nice of you Qtek users, if you could write an e-mail to Qtek.ch!
They offer updates for Qtek users, but you need to mail your IMEI number. So MDA Pro users are not able to get Qtek updates this way.

I'll do this.. No problem..

this is for the prodigy not for Qtek 9000. i downloaded it and tried but it doesn't install on my qtek 9000.
As a matter of fact there are no nbf files in it ?

I tried to install but again unsuccessful...
The installation screen shows no ROM version to be upgraded.
When you look at the README note, it uses the WIZARD device so it may be for WIZARD instead.....

the flash "front" of this is dumped at ppcwarez.org
it´s made in flash and it seems to work in a lot of HTC´s devices

What does this sentence mean? Please translate this into laymans terms. I have been directed to a fileshare link with an apparent english rom for this phone, but I am sceptical as to whether or not it'll work. See post ;

He made these files recovery, for all those who want to return to his official WM6 ROM after trying an update on WM6, 1.
They are also eligible to recover the Asus P535, in the case that is left hanging in full update and get a brick.

Download the WWE ROM restore UK V4.7.12 Updated 2007/08/29.
Inside there are instructions in English.
If that does not help, effected a mentor for you.

i already did so.
But i do not understand the english version also. Maybe my 8 years learning english in school was not enough.....
What i do not understand is the following:
3-Formats the MSD to both FAT and copy files to this.

I understand, I do not write good translation that I use a translator.
That means it is more or less as follows,

Formarte the mini SD card to FAT, once this formatted copy of the extracted files .RAR to the Mini SD.

Ok....
I did so.. now there is a white window with "ASUSP535 FlashROM Update" and "SD download" ...... but nothing happens. My 4GB SD Card was already formatted with Fat. I copied the two files into root of SD-Card. I did not format new. Is this wrong? Must the MSD be formatted, so there is no other file on this card??

Try it with the Mini SD 512 who came with the ASUS.

One more problem:
I have to configure my Network Settings (Vodafone, Wap and so on)
But when I open this feature, there is nothing. Is there a "Network Wizard" for that or something similar??

But this problem is eliminated if returned to his official ASUS ROM.
If the problem is that now has a WM6.1 Rom, remove and install the ROM 19400. You can download it HERE.
This ROM has a self-configuration of networks of all telephone companies.
I hope you will help.

ok. of course. But i need a utility now for WM6, because now i have my original(?) Rom on my P535.

As far as I can see if it has worked and has been able to restore the return to his official ROM, congratulations.
The issue to me says I will not be able to help much, I can think of only searching on google to find out the parameters to be put to set the phone with Vodafone.
Let us hope that some companion read this and you can help me more than I do.

Could you be so kind and make WWE_EE version 6.1? Now I have ROM version v4.7.12 WWE_EE00 and Extended ROM v. V1.3.0 EE00...

Seccond: can any1 take the camera driver from the rom. Maybe we can improve something in camera driver also. If someoane cand take apart the driver from ROM... I can look inside of it..

Need help with my Toshiba Portege G810...

I bought this phone in Taiwan without thinking too much of it. The pre-installed Windows Mobile 6.1 is in Chinese - that's fine. But I cannot believe that it doesn't let me change it to an English system...! My friend's HTC Touch lets him do that. How's that possible? I thought changing language would be one of the fundamental functions?
Anyway, does anyone know if I can ever change my Windows from Chinese to English? And how I would do it, if there were ways of doing it?

what do you mean by "dumping" the rom...?
i guess the portege g810 is just not popular enough for people to develop anything for it... maybe i just need to wait...

From the wiki: "The ROM holds the Operating system and other components such as the bluetooth and wifi stacks. The ROM is accompanied by the Radio, Ext_ROM, SPL and IPL."
Basically if you dump the ROM from your device, the language files can be changed, and then you could re-flash the modified ROM to your device. I'm not sure how to do all of that, but there are many people here that do know. I believe the first step would be to dump the ROM from your device. Please see the following thread:

NO!!! That would ruin your device. I posted a link to that thread because it contained instruction for dumping a ROM. You can only flash your Portege G810 with Portege G810 ROMS. That's why you'd have to dump the ROM from your own device, modify it, and then flash it back to your device

Hi. First you must try to dump the ROM and upload it somewhere (share it with XDA. I guess some of the masters are looking for the G810 rom).

For translating the rom to another language i read somewhere here a post that help you throug. I'll try to find it later on.

Here is what i've done with successfully flash.
...Anyway HK English ROM that i mentioned in my previous post is not actually English ROM.
As far as i know,It's Chinese rom with English Keyboard...
1.Download the DSUU that can be flash to your G810.
2.Download the DSUU that u want to flash to your G810.
3.During run DSUU,go to \windows\temp on your PC,grab FLASH.BIN of each DSUU.
4.use Ultraedit open FLASH.BIN in hex mode,change the first line of the file from 2. to the same
as FLASH.BIN from 1.
5.you are now ready to flash your G810,during running DSUU in 1. after it extract stuffs to \windows\temp
just copy modified FLASH.BIN overwrite it.
6.wait until everything complete, Done!
i'm now waiting for FLASH.BIN from English ROM...Anyone Could help would be appreciate.
i already contact toshiba support in Europe but seems like they just want to sell only the phone.
i 'm now having this Chinese brick and promise to myself not to deal with toshiba product again.

I ask you for help in order to install in my Toshiba G810 the Spanish ROM of Windows Mobile 6.1. I do not have the file to install and also I do not know the procedure for doing this one.
