You have to replace "welcomhead.192.png" in \Windows
Image must have 640x640 pixels and same name (of course)

No way!
Take a photo, or post 'welcomhead.192.png' file (for 2nd bootsplash)
The first one is also possible to backup fro device with the proper tools.

For those of you that have been missing the animated start-up screen here is a custom version inspired by tom's b&b touch ROM.
If you want to change the first screen (the one with O2 on it) use the tool found in this thread:

If you're not keen on the second image just find welcomehead.96.png in the windows folder and swap it with a picture of your choosing (240x320 png)

Sorry for the noob question, but what am I have to do with this .cab file? If I run it, it will change the 2nd and the 3rd boot pics?

just copy it onto your device, run it, reset and you'll have O2 followed by animated B&B logo followed by custom 'windows touch screen'
Simple as that

if someone doesnt like to have the o2 splash at all (like me) you can use the tool posted here to change the first of the 3 boot screens. so you can have the HTC splash and the 2 (very nice ones) posted in this thread.
No luck for me
Used the installer; boot looks fine but hangs at the fingerprint screen
Any suggestions how to solve this?
Edit: A hard reset did the trick...

The thumbprint image is very cool and as no one else appears to have mentioned it, i thought I should add that it also replaces the B&B image in the phone skin. This suits me fine as I wasn't a huge fan - the thumbprint is very classy.

Being frank, this combo is much better one than that in "official" B&B 4.0

How can I recover from this? I just get the windows mobile screen with the windows top curtain.
Have tried to flash from bootloader and from the sd card to no effect.

Edit, Just tested it man.. umm first flash screen is blank, with red square's. and then the second flash screen is a cgi image of a naked chick and it just freezes there.. no boot man..

Mate, Resco's not freeware and I don't believe SK Tools is either. They will probably stop working after the demo time, I believe 15 days for Resco and I'm not sure but I think SK Tools will have limited options.
If the person who flashes has a legit key then theres nothing to worry about.

If someone here have the French original HD rom, he must have the black background with the letter HTC slide on the boot.

this is original Bubble breaker which works on all platform. Just you need your language packet. Inside of this cab there are czech and slovak version, for English you need to find somewhere file: bbcbres.dll.0409.mui
On my HTC HD MINI wave the original ROM in Portuguese and I can not run the game Bubble Breaker, does anyone can help me.

For your ROM you need language packet bbcbres.dll.0816.mui
if you install previous cab, just rename in windows folder bbcbres.dll.0405.mui
to bbcbres.dll.0816.mui. Bubble breaker should work, just it will be in czech language. I will try to find English version. Any English ROM with WM6.1 has this file inside...

the way of 2 cabs install it's a strange trikc but work!
You mybe have to create a shortcut to \windows\BubbleBreaker.exe in your windows\start\menu\games directory....
Or copy the shortcut attached in your windows\start\menu\games directory....

CAB Intall with French and English Languages

I did not find the French language file
But so that games work in English on the French WM, it is enough to rename the file "bbcbres.dll.0409.mui" to "bbcbres.dll.040C.mui"! (working for me !!)
Finally I have find the french mui file (I have post a request about that here - thank you ayyu3m !!! )
So, I have update the attached cab file !
The attached cab working with English and French ROM and he add a shortcut in "Startmenu/Programs/Games".
