Hi all, sorry if this has been discussed before!
I have an ageing XDA1 on O2 pay-as-you-go.
I've read somewhere that it's possible to set thsi XDA for FREE internet access!!!
Is this possible or am I dreaming?
The XDA1 uses Pocket PC 2002.

ok that successfully turned on the xt9 but now where the number keys are it will only type #'s not the letters.....

t9 for htc excalibur rom awesome too bad i already reverted back to the t mobile dash!

XT9 Works! but problems..
Same here, On my Excalibur Some letters don't match the keypad, The numbers stay numbers even if I press the FN key. Also when I turn off T9 and switch it back to ABC all the problems are still present.. BUT I still want XT9 so i'll wait for any updates..
ok 1 more thing.. how the hell do u uninstall it?? There's no XT9 uninstaller in the remove program list..
i couldnt uninstall it I had to do a clear strorage...
Yup same here.. Clear Storage all the way.. At least its a clean phone again.. hahha

Thanks for the info.. I hate people have to be so greedy.. If I was able to get my hands on ROMS I would For sure share what I got.. But for now I'm stuck to just testing out stuff and finding solutions for problems that occur.
you,re welcome! guys just one question how did you guys feel after actually realizing you could revert back i know i could not wait reason why is that it feels good to know that you can still be covered for repairs if needed too!
Thanks a ton for letting us know where to get the TMobile ROM!!!!! So you haven't had any issues after using this ROM? Everything appears to be OK?
How I feel now is I will definitely be more willing to try out the other ROMs now to see if I like them better... As long as this TM Rom appears ok...
So I decided to try the tmobile ROM on my S620 and it works, but there's no other Keyboard support Except for the DASH Layout.. I need to use Keyboard layout 2057 For the European Keypad.. But the registry wouldn't take cuz theres no supporting files.. So Does anyone know how to extract the language pack from the HTC S620 ROM??

Rom update utility MFC application has stopped working. I really want this on my cingular 8125 iots awesome but dont know to ask , hope i asked in the right place , becauuse everyone i talked 2 pointed me this way , hopefully ill have luck an can acomplish something with a little help from the people that know this stuff, thank you for letting me post this an hopefully ill have a answer

Is there someone who have an idea on how to upgrade a gsmart ms800 to wm6.1 or better on 6.5? i took a look at many forums and many sites but i've never cooked a rom and i don't know how to do it, i've downloaded the official roms but they all are for wm6.0...

i'm so proud for receiving this post from you, because i've never receive any answer from this forum and i was thinking no one mind about gsmart users.. but i know we have a minor brand and so there are not so many "gsmarters". I think the only way is to ask to the other boys with gsmart to lift their voices only with a post in this (or other) thread and then i think we could do something good.

Yep, me too have a gsmart winmo phone - a MW700 and i'd love to put windows mobile 6.5 on it.
It's very hit and miss on this forum as to whether anyone will even bother to reply to you. I guess people are busy with other things on other phones.
I think we need a developer who buy a gsmart.. i tried to cook my own ms800 rom using the instructions on mybestpda but i had many problems. I so hope someone better than me can work on gsmart roms. I think i've lost time enought, so i prefer to wait.. bye bye

It's really from mybestpda i've start my adventure on cooking a rom for ms800.. because it's really a good site, but there is no roms for ms800.
There is a thread on cooking roms and i tried loosing so much time...
There is another site www.gigabyteclub.ru that is really good and is in Russian,but there there are only russian roms and i don't understand how to use the kitchen (in russian), google translator it's not enought for me....
Gsmart Problem
Hello guys, i have big problem, i try to flash my Gsmart MS800 with modified rom and now i can't start the phone, only see light display. Sombody know the key combination for bootloader menu? I want to reinstal the original one.
Hope smb will help me, otherwise i have to throw ot of the window this phone

i had a problem like you some months ago, and the main board of the phone was burned.. i hope it is not the same for you, mine was an original rom so i could use warranty.
