Hi,
We've got two volume regulations in BA: one for ringtone, other for system (mda clicks etc..). The problem here is, that though i don't want to have any clicking and other sounds or have their volume low, I want to keep my message incoming sound high.
Is there a way to solve it? - Incoming message sound volume depending on Incoming call volume?
Robert
Hi Belcik,
You can turn off all this click etc. from windows in:
Start -> Settings -> Personal Tab -> Sounds & Notification
if this is what u meant
Unfortunatelly not....
This is what I mean: I cannot set all volumes in BA to minimum, except incoming calls and messages.
For calls is separate slider, for overall BA volume is another. When i set ringing to max, other phone sounds to minimum, the sound of incoming message will be set to minimum as well, and the only way to have it louder is to move slider of overall BA loudness (with all other BA sounds) to max...
That's the problem
Or maybe it's just the ROM ver??? This one sometimes behaves strange...
R.
Hi Belcik,
My way of solving this will be to remove all not needed sounds (as in my earlier post) and leave only those one You need - like incomming message. I do not know any other way to do it.

i have gone in to settings and changed the ring vol to full on the slider
any help i give thanks angel
Strange, my native ring tones files are very audble.
Anyway, have you tried increasing the volume of the file of the ring tone, and saving it?
U can even use native system tool
(start/programs/accessories/entertainment/sound record) - donĀ“t know if these are exact names as my windows is in Portuguese. Save the file with, say, 200% volume increase and transfer to ppc. Now it must be very audible.
heya again.
i've got a P3300 with HTC WM6 (but same happened with WM5)
i was used from my older phones to get this options when a call was incomming:
- answer
- cancel (busy)
- ignore (mute)
now i am missing this last option. sometimes when i get a call, i want to just ignore it, mute the phone (and stop the vibration too) but without giving the caller a "busy" sign.
is that somehow possible?
use the volume slider button and slide downwards
yeah its the volume slider on the top left of the phone
well to clarify as others might get confused like i did.
when ppl. sais "use the volume slider" they don't mean to just slode down the volume. no
i've found out that if i wanted to ignore a call, i just had to tap the slider once, to mute the incomming call and turn of vibration. and it wont affect any sort of volume settings for next incomming calls.
so, thx for your replies, guys.
Hello, I'd like to have, for normal calls, vibration + ring, but an increasing ring, and not the normal one. By default, is not selectable the option of the increasing ring + vibration, it doesn't exist on the menu, either the increasing ring, or the vibration, not both. Is it possible to add this choice?
Thanks.
Ok, I've seen some script code to change in the editor.... but for what I've seen and tried, two issues:
1) I cannot have the vibration for the second time increasing ring, vibration lasts only the first ringtone time,and stop;
2) the ring doesn't increase untill it lasted for the whole ringtone, and it's very annoying when your favourite ringtone is a long .midi one.
Solutions?
I can't help you with the vibration feature but I can tell you that if you want a louder ring you can use mp3directcut to increase the sound of the ringtones, there's a gain option.
I don't know if this is what you mean,if so send me a PM.
Bye.
Searched around, can't seem to find a solution to this puzzling problem..
I flashed EnergyROM on my Tilt2, everthing was fine for about 2 weeks. Then, one gloomy day, notifications/alarms just stopped ringing. I get no audio notification when email/sms arrive. Also, when I use the hardware volume buttons on tilt and try to adjust the volume - there is no sound when I do (you know that little "bell" sound when you change volume? it's not there).
Regular windows notification settings are all there, manila's settings are all set (volume is at 100%)..
What still works is ringtones and playing music/videos. Also, I do hear a ringtone when I'm getting a call.
It may be something minor.. any ideas?
I recently received a replacement Galaxy Nexus (my original power button broke). I am having an issue with the new phone where my old phone worked fine--and I think I have found a solution that may help others if they are having this problem.
When listening to media, either music via PowerAmp or podcasts via DoggCatcher, the ringtone for an incoming call is reduced to a point that is almost inaudible. I can tell there is an incoming call, because the media stops, but that is unacceptable. If I stop the media but keep the ringer at the same volume, an incoming call rings at a much louder (and satisfactory volume). For some reason, playing media is reducing the volume of the ringtone.
I found a solution that seems to be working for me. I noticed that while adjusting volumes in the volume settings control panel, the volume would be reduced but adjusting the volume would return it to normal. To solve the problem I set up a tasker profile that will adjust the volume on the event of an incoming call. The tasker profile looks like this:
Context: Event > Phone Ringing, Hardware > Headset Plugged (otherwise I think this would make vibrate worthless)
Task: Ringer Volume: Level 2 (anything else seems much too loud, but I will have to try it out).
Anyone else having this problem? Know the cause? Other solutions?
