Will xda-developer open new forum for Xda Atom?

I like the model very much!! But I heard it is not the HTC model, anyone knows there are any forum for the Atom?

I believe xda-developers.com should start working on phones made by other companies, not just HTC...
we have very nice PPCs coming into the market everyday, M600, XDA ATOM, Gigabyte g-smart Pocket PC phone, and the list is growing...
so, IMHO, I think people here should think of opening new sub-forums for these new devices, as of many folks here are changing their devices due to better performance and nicer models ( this is not true for all HTC models )

As the name implies this site is devoted to xda's and their development , ie HTC handsets so there is no reqquirement to create a forum for non HTC devices!

Perhaps I am mistaken but isn't XDA a brand name of O2 meaning
(x)DA as opposed to PDA ??
Which would really mean this site is for O2 developers which clearly
isn't the case.
And yes this is explained on the front page where they say the domain
name is very misleading and this site is really for discussing HTC hardware.
And yet here we are talking about Quanta hardware and there is no thunder and lightning. why can't we all just get along!

IMHO (no flame pls! :twisted: )
I do second the creation of more sub-forums. Like it or not, this forum has become a convergent point of like-minded Mobile PPC PDA-phone users from all over the world.
BUT (yes, there is always the buts)
it will be pretty hard on the moderators to keep a tab on all these sub-forums and make sure that things don't get too haywired around here.
SO, 4 suggestions:
(a) For all the moderators of other similar forums in their home countries to owe up, provide a description for their forum and the URL link. There might be a great ETEN M600 forum going on in a English forum in Taiwan, and we might be missing out on the discussions.
(b) For volunteers to be sub-moderators of the sub-forums in this place. More content means more hard disk space, something which will run out eventually if old stuff are not deleted. For the sake of democracy, we can put this to a vote, and see if we should start deleting stuff which has been here for 6 months or more.
(c) Perhaps one generic sub-forum (wiki?) for newbies "Request for Help", and we put in place some messaging protocol like putting in a tag @ the subject line as <RFH:<model>:<help message> e.g. "RFH:Qtek9100:Camera not working!!!! HELP!".
(d) Perhaps create one more generic sub-forum (wiki?) for evaluating software, patch releases by the helpful community here???
Just putting some thoughts here to make this a better and more useful forum for all.

Eten Forum request

Hi, would it possible to create a new forum for eten pda, or maybe only for the Glofiish model? I have a e-ten M700, and i can't find a place here for post my tricks.

I'd say the chances of that are null to slim, since this is the HTC Developers' website.
However, there are Eten forums out there -- like this one and this one.

Sorry I haven't understand that this forum is for HTC only... do you know other (that you link before) technical forum for eten cooking ROM?

right it's difficult to find anything!!!

This forum is only for HTC devices so any deviation is a no go. Anyhow, i do visit a forum where there are some Eten ROMs in which i can provide through a PM or email.

This is a HTC oriented forum, I doubt if there will be an e-ten forum here.
But a good forum for Eten is http://eten-users.eu/
They are what xda-developers is for Eten.
I visited them when I had my m800.

I kinda understand why he post it here in the tytn thread, on the kaiser section there are no interested users for his problem because most of us dont even have the kaiser yet..
but that will grow..

i think(keyword think) this is the guy who bought a bricked kaiser on howardforums. me and shadowmite tried to warn any buyers that it needs more than new software. would fit this guys description as it was a uk tmobile locked kaiser

I really don't understand... It says "Senior Member" in your nick, and you still don't now how to use search button... Nice...

I don't think he really "applied" for that title. It's given to members automatically as soon as they have posted 200 times if I remember correctly. Or should we all put "Newbie" in our signatures as I did to clarify that we don't feel that senior yet?

Personally i Would thx you both because I never take a look on "artemis upgrade" part of forum but just on "Artemis mobile 6" because this is the most active part of artemis section so if he didn't post here I'll perhaps see it but in a few moments when all the people had change it in their signature.

Y_bother, elegantly corrected his post, but i think your post is totally useless.
As a senior member u show know better, that all of us users should read before posting.
ARTEMIS MOBILE 6, ARTEMIS UPGRADING, discover the differences.
I tell u that radio 3.34.90 works with wm5 also.

it is a fact that information on this board is spread widely and wildly- sometimes making it hard to keep track of all the good stuff. some of us try to gather this in so called "joined threads" others "re-post".....

[FORUM REQ] iPAQ HX4700 AKA. Roadster

Hi, was searching google for ipaq parts and cama across this in the Wiki, i had presumed that it was a HP made device, so I didn't bother asking for a forum for it, the HX4700 forum on other sites are simply DEAD, no activity at all! loads of people here have iPAQ's, and we would appreciate a forum instead of the 210 page thread
