Hello.
Is there any way to obtain the TouchFLO usability from the new HTC Touch, into Universal? I don't think there are any hardware changes as to how the screen handles finger moves and clicks.
Maybe any plans on a new WM6 Rom for Universal that might support it?
If yes, would it be the whole Touch interface, including dark gray apearance, etc?
Thanks people.
EDIT: Just read about the first TouchFlo Rom (Ivan i Think), but there is lack of feedback as for the usability of the Touch feature, or the dark grey today theme/caller apearance... Any help?
there are hardware changes
Yep, the hardware of HTC touch is different which enables it to do some 'gestures' on the screen. So, all we can 'taste' is the today plugin which it uses
Thank you both for your responses. Midlet, I have user your ROMs before.
However, I don't understand what the changed might be, since "drag n' drop" finger actions are possible in Universal or any other PPC (for example, using the finger to move an icon in some other place, on "Spb Pocket Plus Today Plugin"...
Any specific info on Why "HTC Touch" is different (apart from the LCD protective material which -just a guess- may be a little more matte, in order for the finger to easily move on it) on this device?
Still, I can't figure out why a finger gesture needs extra/changed hardware. I would understand it if it accepted more than one touches at the same time, but this?...
Thanks...
hi were can i download the cab file for the today pluggin screen like from touch?
you might try this http://www.mobiletopsoft.com/board/2...pocket-pc.html but you need to have WM6 installed. You are not alone others want this interface as well. I have the same question in the Universa general forum
when i click the link it wont forward me. wats the search name of the pluggin? thanks
I think you can get an answer here:

Hi,
i want to use the P3300 for outdoor navigation, but the display is not readable even if it is cloudy! There are display types which are called transflective displays, that are still readable if the sun is shining and the background light is switched off (e.g. http://www.sharpsma.com/Page.aspx/americas/en/42fbcfb5-685b-4c5f-a40f-8b800b6a1124/).
Does anyone know such a display that is compatible with P3300? It has to use the same display controller. Does someone know which display controller is used in P3300?
I found a good disassembly instructions in the following forum:
http://www.modaco.com/content/artemis-love-artemis-modaco-com/260167/disassemble-xda-orbit/
because it seams slightly different for P3300 and XDA Orbit.
Kind regards,
hqqh
hi,
after some internet search I found a page (http://handyersatzteile-versand.de/index1.html) where the following displays are listed as compatible for the p3300:
- Toppoly TD028TTEB1
- Hitachi TX07D05VM0APA
- Sony ACX357AKN8
But in order to check which display controller and which logical/physical interface is used I need a datasheet. But I didn't found one!!!
From Hitachi there is a datasheet for TX07D09XXXX, but I'm not sure what the differences to TX07D05 are.
Any idea?

i know that why i ask for any one to make a smart program!!!i think that program save the 1st touch then go to the second and x2 the middle kinda complicated
BUT SHOULD WORK
To my knowledge, some apps actually already use this technique. When you press two points on a screen, it takes the coordinates exactly in the middle and "presses" that. It doesn't work with a screen full of buttons though, as there might be another button where the "dummy" press occurs.

Well....we know that Opera doesnt...and IE and Skyfire and so on....
Seems like those would be the only relavent apps right?
i mean for me the multitouch would be the most usefull in web browsing...not so much in any other programs...

ALL MULTI TOUCH APPS ARE WELCOME!!!
Jees. Calm down.
Yeah, you're getting a bit hyped there. Perhaps its time for you to get another phone?
Anyway, there was a GBA emulator around which used that, since you wouldn't be able to press both movement and something else at the same time. I have no idea where it is though - was months ago I saw it.
jea got this GBA prog but never played on touchscreen, opera with multitouch would be very fine, but the display of the xperia x1 is to small for that aktion by using fingers... thats my point of view, but i thougt that the hardkeyboard is to small to type, too. and i was wrong
so it would be a nice gag to get opera browser with multitouch function..

Hi!
Please be careful not to make people crazy about a resistive touchscreen, to become a real multitouch with a piece of software.
A resitive touchscreen like on the Xperia is not like the capacitive ones.
There is simply a physical limit.
Please get yourself a little background about these technologies.
When you press two points on a screen, it takes the coordinates exactly in the middle and "presses" that.

Angelusz is absolutely right. Nothing more nothing less!
With a resisitive touchscreen, you can sample only one "touch" at one moment in time.
It doesn't work with a screen full of buttons though, as there might be another button where the "dummy" press occurs.

I won't doubt that some tricky programmers may use the effect, to get something like a multitouch feeling, but the real UI will never behave like it does e.g. on an iphone.
Please slow down dxdiadora

thnx for the information about multitouch but can u plz think about my idea :
to make a prog that:
1.take your first touch save it while you still thouching it you touch somewhere els and "it presses the middle of them " then if you move your finger then the middle moves and the prog will chek if it is closer to the 1st point that he saved so it zoom in the first point you pressed
i know that it cant be like iphone but plzz can u try this trick?? ill be so pleased
thnxxx for helping anyway
As far as I know. and I am really sure about this.. You cant use Multi touch on the x1. like. never unless you changed the touch panel on the phone it self or something like that.
[EDIT]
You know what?? I've decided to shut up. it's a shame really that op is making such a big deal out of this crap. multitouch on resistive? ok.
now cool down a bit, otherwise You may jizz in Your pants...
problem with your idea is that, it doesnt see the first finger placement, the sensors are in the corners , so it doesn't tell where you press, but the dead center of pressure, and it counts that as one press, not two separate finger positions. That being said, there is no possible way for it to save the first press, because the first press doesn't actually exist
iswish
can some1 find the software any cab of this iswish please
i realy want the pinch to zoom !!!!!

Hi,
unfortunatedly my dialogue partners almost can't hear what I'm telling them via HTC Touch Pro 2 although I'm not whispering. Is there a way to improve the microphone sensivity?
Could it be a solution to change the AudioPara3.csv?
The parameters
B23,CE_REC_INC_MIC
B24,CE_REC_EXT_MIC
C8,CE_REC_INC_MIC
C9,CE_REC_EXT_MIC
F23,CE_REC_INC_MIC
F24,CE_REC_EXT_MIC
make me fell that they are related to the micro. Are they? What are they for?
A page with a closer description of the AudioPara3.csv might be helpfull to learn more about its functionality. Any link?
In addition I'd like to know, what the following files on my HTC Touch Pro 2 are for:
AudioPara.csv
AudioPara3_ATT.csv
AudioPara3_Boot.csv
AudioPara3_O2_V4.csv
AudioPara3_TMO.csv
AudioPreProcessTable.csv
Could it be, that they are called instead of the AudioPara3.csv? Is this the reason why my AudioPara3.csv-Modifications don't show any reaction, if I implement the modified AudioPara3.csv?
Thanks for any hints
Georg
Multi 2.0 is an application that shows the Dual-Touch Technology and explain how it works!

Click to see this picture,it may tell you something about it.:
Also
It's Not exactly on the GamePad that "You can ONLY MOVE the SECOND finger you put with your First finger FIXED!"
Just do these step by step,if you wanna understand what I mean:
1.Run this app and turn to "Gamepad" page
2.Press the left-button with a finger of your left hand
3.Press a round-button with a finger of your right hand
-Now You can only move your right-hand finger.
4.Release your left-hand finger.
5.Do as the Step 2 again.
-Now You can only move your left-hand finger.
That's all.
[Explanation]
After Releasing your first finger. The Fake Point inside would go out of the screen.
So the app knows that you have release your first finger.
And it would treat the Second Point as a New First Point.
It means that you can set a New Second Point again and move it.without releasing all your fingers!
[27,July 2010]VGA & WQVGA versions Available Now!
Features:
Picture - You can drag the picture with one finger or stylus and zoom the picture with two fingers[Pinch to Zoom]
GamePad - An On-Screen GamePad that support up to two pressed buttons!
Fact - To show how this application works inside.
Just download and run it without installing..
It may work on all WinMo with resistive screens.
need .NET CF 3.5/3.7 which I think you all know it.
Notice:
My English may be too suck to be understood.
Touch the screen with two fingers one by one but not at the same time!(You can do it quickly even it seems to be done at a time)
To zoom the picture,a gab of about 2cm between two fingers is needed when you start touching the screen!
A Chinese version of sentence for who may understand its translation better than the English version:想要缩放图片,两只手指在按下的时候必须有大约2cm的间距!
You can ONLY MOVE the SECOND finger you put with your First finger FIXED![Not exactly on the GamePad]
How it works?
See the "Fact" part of the application.
And touch the screen with two fingers(one by one).
You'll get three points:
Fixed Point - It is got when you put your First finger.
Real Point - It is truely detected by the hardware when two fingers are put.
Fake Point - where your second finger put.As a matter of fact, the hardware doesn't know anything of it.The position is worked out by the application.
How to get the Position of the second Finger?
NOTICE that when two or more fingers are put on the screen, the hardware would just get the Point in the central of shape which is made up by fingers' Positions.
So.Two fingers's positions(points) make a line. And the hardware gets the "Real Point" in the middle of the line.
Reversely think. We've got the First finger's Position and the Mid Position.
The Second Finger's Position should be in the direction opposite the First finger through the Mid Position.
PS
-This is my first post here.
-I know some members here has been developing the Multi-Touch(Dual-Touch) technology. But I had the idea of creating multi-touch application last year.
-The picture on the application written "Mobile 2.0" but not "Multi 2.0".It's a website[mobile20.com.cn] in China that make evaluations of mobile. The Chinese version of this application was released there on June 7,2010
-Sorry for my poor English..
Pretty interesting app just tested it on my wvga phone
But what really caught my eye was the gamepad thing. Would love to see this in morphgear so we have dualtouch which would make many games more playable.
Maybe I dream to much but still would be great
Do you have future projects for resistive screens now?

I'm willing to give the code to anyone who wants it.
(It's written in VB.NET)
But I really have to modify it.As the code is in a mess within some Chinese comments.
Maybe I'll write a 'GamePad'-only(or 'Picture'-only) program for developers.

Thx!!But I haven't got a paypal account yet..It may takes one year till I'm 18 years old.
Great App! I have tested it on my Touch Pro (VGA Screen). In Gamepad mode I have only one round button but everything else worked good!
If both fingers are horizontal to the screen its pretty precise, if I have my fingers diagonal on the screen it differs much.
But: Thank you for your app, it shows that it is possible
Greets
The QVGA won't work on my kaiser .
The pinch zoom works though, Nice work!
The second finger on the screen is a bit off, from the fact tab, so that's why the gamepad doesn't work too well. It registers a press in another spot.
Which file do u use on VGA?
Multi2.0 QVGA.7z or Multi2.0 WVGA.7z ?

Ya I found the problem,too.
And I thought it was the screen/hardware's problem.
Maybe I'll add a feature for a future project to adjust the value.

Any plans to work on a ..?
@TangoChen Any plans to work on a system–wide pinch to zoom solution? OndraSter has been workin' on one here, but has gone on holiday. Perhaps, you two should collaborate.
It would be great if you managed to replace the HD2's resources files and fool the entire system in thinking you actually have a capacitive screen.
The DLL (or any other kind of resource files, I didn't study this in detail, but for instance, just checking the "Pinch to zoom" menu in BSB Tweaks instantly crashes the HD ! ) could then be added in cooked ROMs and simulate the official "pinch to zoom" behavior...
thanks
that's great job
