hardware architecture details - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

hi guys can anyone tell me where i can find details about the hardware architecture of HTC devices??
i am especially interested in knowing if it is possible to take the audio signal(what we talk) and add some background sound effects and feed it back to the transmitter. can this be done?? please help.

wiki.xda-developers.com
go here there are tons of info
as far as i know the gsm audio and the pda audio are seperate which is also why ppl cant get the htc devices to act as voice mail

Has anyone found a way to add a hardware equalizer as ipaqaudio, or X50mix, or dsp_en for WM5??
It would be so nice

Sorry
I just wanted to be sure that the maximum people could see my post
No problem - its just because it can put alot of people out.
I have been looking for the same thing myself - dsp_en does not work i have tried many configurations.
Crossbow - the next version of wm promises it included in wmp but dont hold your breath as wm5 aku 3.0+ promised it but did not appear.
So there are the standalone apps TPCMP has an equalizer built in as does pocket music player and the conduits player. I found PMP worked well but for some reason occ exited so i did not buy it. I may ask someone in the forum to put one together for wm5. Or crossbow will be with us soon - see what that brings - and of course TPCMP is free.

latest version i have doesnt have it
Thanks - maybe with photon then or is all this pie in the sky.
Btw i am after the genuine crossbow theme to analyse it with my friend BenThon the creator of ThemeGenCE so as to make wm6 themes - grateful if you could post it or send to me.
I have discoverd in the registry that when I put the ipaqaudio and I modify the values, it modifies the values (and put the same value number) in
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\AdvancedCPL"
That could mean that it is those values that have to be changed. However when I try without ipaqaudio it don't do anything
Please I'm sure some could do something to make us have a hardware equalizer like on the new HTC LOVE or like the o2 media plus
It's too bad that no one is interesting in having a good sound.
I had a lot of mp3 players. One day I had my qtek s100(htc magician i think) and it was the best one(thanks to dsp_en) in sound output.Whatever the impedance of the headphone you put on it the sound is incredible with punch bass.I don't know how or why but pocket pc have powerful sound output (further better than no-bass-because-of-too-little-impedance-IPOD)
Having an hardware equalizer or bass and treble modification is far more interesting and good than software eq as tcpmp or gsplayer.

Changing the Voice command default player

Ok YES I've read the wiki, and searched for answers and NO I can't find much so if I've missed something flame away boys but otherwise here comes a noob with a question.
I'm running mUn & JUVS HTC Home Plugin (6 buttons one for music) which interfaces with HTC Audio Manager 1.2. It works awesome I love it! The cherry on the top of this whole set up would be to have voice command to interact with HTC audio manager instead of WMP. I know this can be done because there are comercial players that do this in a plugin. But I have no idea how to do this for the Audio Manager. If someone could help me out, point me to a post, flame me and just let me know that the answer IS indeed out there, or think up a work around, I would be eternally greatful. I will now go grovel back under the rock under which I hide from all you predatory Senior members looking for a BBQ.
yeah i'd love it if someone could change that too, audio manager sucks when you've goy 600 tracks...
No one else have anything on this?

ROMs and Should I?

Hello,
I keep seeing in these forums many threads regarding ROMs. I know what they are but my question is...why should I mess with it. I have an HTC Touch GSM with WM6. Now if you tell me I can get the interface in general to be quicker and the wifi to connect sooner, then i'm sold.
Cheers,
Paul

youll be very suprised at how much of a difference it makes to flash your phone with a rom itll make it faster due to the applications that u dont use water down ur programming memory and that can be released and run faster with them gone ...just look around and find one that fits ur use..promise u will be happy...just one thing to remember ..Read he insructions carefully and dont be scared to ask any questions ..have fun
Perfection,
I guess so, sound logical. What would be the best ROM for the HTC Touch GSM, I've always felt that the phone is a little hesistant, and I've done the best that i've could in stoping animations, sounds and some registry hacks. I mostly use the Office Suite, Messenger, Skype and Netfront Browser. Then on trips the mp3 player and cameras.
Just in case I have a whole assortment of 3rd party software like: Pocket CM, PCM Keyboard, SIP Change and SPB Mobile Shell, in case it's neccessary to know.
Also, how does one go abouts installing this, i have both Mac and PC, so as you said i'm not scared of asking or trying things out, my Treo 650 I've dont a hell a lot to it, and it still runs good, but the HTC is it's replacement.
Cheers,
Paul

touch then go to the forums that show the names >>> Vogue or the Elf just look at them to see whihc one looks like urs...speak or ask the question for better programming speed to on of the senoir members it should show if they are seniors under there names.

Life streaming from TP2? bambuser/livestream/ustream/qik/livecast/justin.tv etc

Hi guys, been a while since the 8525 days, now i'm looking at doing something new (to me) with my TP2. Anyone have a working life streaming solution? I've looked through and tried a bunch, and so far best I've been able to find is ustream or bambuser apps which work well on xdandroid FroYo (Can't get GingerBread to boot all the way..) other than the mike, they do not seem to pick up any sound. . .please advise
some stuff i found, but still no cigar:
http://www.similarsitesearch.com/alternatives-to/bambuser.com
http://mashable.com/2008/07/15/video-streaming-tools/
Thanks!
M
Do you want an Android or Windows Mobile solution? If you want an Android solution, you posted in the wrong section.
Well, either..I would like any solution that works on TP2; either on WM6.5, or XDAndroid runnin off my SD card (see top two threads in android dev). Maybe someone even knows a mike fix for the latter. Ustream is nice cause it includes chat capability in the mobile client, but neither it or bambuser pick up any sound.
I just tried Quik4.2 on WM6.5 and it works ok, but Quik kind of sux, crappy website features in comparison and there is no channel chat at all .

XDAndroid requires updated acoustic libraries in order to pick up audio when recording video. Please search before throwing people off on tangents like that.
