I have bootloader 2.01 and chs WM5 on my Xda Exec which was bought last month in China.
I tried triple to upgade the ROM using O2 Exec ROM version 1.13.82 WWE found on this site, but failed.
I am using 1.30.108 CHT, 1.14.10, 1.30.224 CHS which works fine.

I had this exact same problem after SUCCESSFULLY upgrading all ROMs. A hard reset (that's the LeftMF_Key+RightMF_Key+Power+Reset, at the bootloader - press the 0 key) fixed this problem for me.

I assume you're referring to the 2.01 at the bottom of the Bootloader screen. If so, that indicates that you have a G4 Exec (the most recent model). That is compatible with all the ROMS discussed on this part of the site.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by this. I agree that you should try hard-resetting and then select "0" when offered the choice at the white screen. If that doesn't work, let us know in more detail what you did before getting stuck in this position and what worked / didn't work.
Hello,

Can anyone guide me how to unlock this phone now. Thanks.
Any help please????
XDA Unlock - Easy as No FLASHING OR FORMATTING!
Just unlock with this file by running it straight from you phone. When its done put another sim in and enter 8 zeros for unlock code! DONE!!!
Messenger me if any probs [email protected]
Thanks for your help. I will try it tomorrow and post results.
Talkways, let us know if it worked man, then I'll try mine (!)
Unfortunately no, It did not work for me, Another thing which I noticed is that this is asking to lock the phone and not the unlock and give a success message saying that phone successfully locked. Tried putting 8 zero's with no luck.
Any more help to unlock this. I appreciate that.
Here you go.... Try these 2 unlock files. Both need running from the device and then enter 8 zeros for unlock code...
These are the only two left for unlocking the XDA II so if these don't work then i can't help you unfortunately, Sorry!
All programs tried but no luck
Thanks, I already tried all the programs available but no luck. However I still did try your programs with no luck. All programs says me phone unlocked successfully but still ask for the Network unlock code. I tried putting in eight zeros but no luck.
I really appreciate your help but Can any one else help me as well. I already unlocked so many of these phones without any problem but this is driving me mad.
Can some one from development team or product support can look into the issue.

I had the same problem, but I solved it
Downloaded older radio rom from here:
ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/Himalaya_SEs/Radio/Radio1.08.zip
flashed it and tried one of above unlocking programs (I believe it was xda-all-unlock-1.6) - worked like a charm!
My xda II with R 1.05.12 is fully unlocked now
remember: to flash radio rom, your himalaya / m1000 / xda II must be in bootloader mode
I just got my first pda Qtek 9090 and I would like to preform an upgrade to MW6. But just before I beyond the point of no return I woul like to do a Full backup. Since I can not find my current rom anywhere on the net:
PH20B 0 B WWE E BRIGH001 1.40.00 0 0 1.40.148 1.12.00 12.00

I have used grab_it_128_150.exe saved the created file. What do i need to do with this file to be able to restore it?
Hi all,
ATT just released the USA version of the i780, called i907 here. As far as I can tell of the difference is bigger battery (1800mA) and hence a thicker device, plus the 850 and USA 3G bands.
I'm sure many Epix users here is willing to help grab the ROM image to assist someone here who knows how to cook the ROM for the i780. We can't wait to get rid of all the ATT 'crapware' that's installed.
Anyone?
Yea I second that.
I downloaded a ROM dumper and the latest V5 i780 rom kitchen. I have no idea what I'm doing, but I have 30 days to figure it out before I can't return the phone.
So if I'm gonna practice making ROMs, I might as well do it in my 30 day grace period.

Here is, what I think is..., the Epix Rom Dump. I dumped it from my Epix tonight. I have no experience using a ROM kitchen... and it is bedtime. So maybe some nice Chefs can strip out all the AT&T bloatware and make a new one.

Does someone knows if the hardware is same to i780? so ROm is compatible? I am really very interested in an original ROM for i780 with WM 6.1... but Samsung seems not wanting to publish one...

Tried I780 Rom, but failed. The phone completed dead. Is there anyone who can unlock the CID first? I think I780 Rom should work. Just the CID lock, so failed.

OK... so you want to write a i780 ROM on it and I want to have an original 6.1 ROM on my i780... let's change the devices
Hope you'll fix the problem... sorry, but I can't help you with that
What would you use to cook this with?
I'll give it a try.

How can I give it to you? BTW, I got the new one from AT&T. Still looking for some people who can cook rom for epix.
Has anyone located a kitchen that will work? Dumped the ROM?
I'm sure there are some talented Chefs that can put something together.
i think it has a more updated radio-version, as it supports HSUPA and not just HSDPA and the Core is changed too in regards that they removed the frontal VGA webcam from the original i780

an Epix Owner
Please make a cook ROM for the Epix
Just got my Epix yesterday and from the looks of it, this device is one of the best specs out there performance wise. The only thing thats killing it is the ROM that stupid AT&T had put! I hope a gallant mighty chef will save this device from the clutch of AT&T's stupidity.
The omnia seems to use the same rom format and with the Omnia you can debrand a rom by replacing the .csc file with a non-carrier .csc file (the csc file is branding). The a safe bet is ussually DX???.csc i.e. DXHI5.csc
The Omnia and Epix are very similar. I don't know HOW similar because I know the Omnia has a larger camera. If anything is different it will cease to function without proper drivers installed.
I dumped that ROM but I don't know if its good or not. I did the same procedure the other day and I think I got different results. The raw files are the same size, so I think the extraction went bad the first time.
See my question is once you extract all the files from the RAW file, remove what you don't want... how do you then convert it BACK to a RAW or a flashable BIN file?
On the Omnia the Roms came in three parts: Phone/Radio, PDA, and CSC.
The CSC was the branding file. My guess was that the unbranded .csc files might not have anything hardware specific on them. I could be completely wrong here...
I don't have an Epix yet so I can't help you with any experimentation.
The Epix has 3 partitions: each different sizes. I was talking to a few chefs and it seems the 3rd one is the microSD card.
The i780 Kitchen should work on the Epix as they're very similar models:

If we succeed in cooking a bin file, do we know how to put it back on the phone?
-----
Our first test should be to use 911's rom dump untuched and try to put it back on the phone. Once we can do that we can start cooking, since then there is a way to restore your phone if we misscook
I tried, cooking the epix rom (with no modification, only some files removed due to space requirements), two or three days ago.
The phone starts booting, then I can hear the starting sound, but then the phone shuts off itself.
I've not putted grat effors in looking forward due to time constraints and becouse I'm not using the i780 anymore.
BTW I will try to look again to this thing when I have some spare time.
Update:
After a bit of further investigation I noticed that the epix is more different than one can guess.
The wifi card is completely different and screen, mouse touch are similar but not identical.
So, porting the epix rom is not a straight process, and requires a lot of work.
I managed to boot the i780 with the epix rom and at the moment I can boot the phone but w/o the touchscreen and the mouse working.
In the rom are present a lot of AT&T craplets, but also some useful things like the user agent changer, the proxy manager, the modem function (in addition to the wm6.1 standard ICS), and so on.
Maybe I can improve this rom but at the moment there is nothing I can guarantee.

Cool, so do you have an i907 to test with or just an i780?
