I have a Softbank X01HT, using radio 1.38 since a while and installed recently LVSW's 04/08 ROM
My device crashed during a call today... And since... no reception anymore... I get "No service" in my comm manager...
Can someone help ? I tried hard reset... no effect... Still "No service"...
Does anybody have a clue of what's wrong ? Could my radio have died suddenly ? (Please dont flame me... I ahve searched about it but didnt find people having sucha problem without flashing anything new !)
Thanks for your help
I would try to reflash the radio and ROM. Not sure what the problem is, but reflashing would be my next try (after the steps you already took).
I had something similar happen the morning after installing Black 2.0 (i dont think it was related to Black 2.0 though) also using radio 1.38 (1.38.00.11 trinity GPS radio to be exact) where i completely lost all reception and no amounts of soft-resets or turning phone off / on made a difference. I was really busy at work so had to put it back in the belt holder and forget about it when after about an hour or two it suddenly surprised me and started ringing with an incoming call so had obviously come good without me realising.
Hopefully yours may do the same (are you using 1.38.00.11 too). If it doesnt i would suggest flashing a newer / older radio to see if you can revive it.

Yeah it is a bit weird. I'm guessing as we both have the same 1.38.00.11 radio from the Trinity that it could have something to do with that. Thankfully, it has only happened the once for me so far but i will look at also upgrading to 1.40 if it happens again.
Let me know how you get on.
Oh and WooHoo my 100th post!!!

1.40 seems to be working perfectly
I lost a whole Sunday... No idea what happened... But anyway took advantage of this to install a new ROM, new radio, etc...
Exactly the same has been happening to me. No idea what it is. Might try an earlier Radio to see if that fixes it.
silly basic thing, but make sure flight mode is off
I made sure of that, just had no reception. Really strange, but I was getting missed call notifications and voicemails and texts coming through.
Hello!
I bought a Diamond for a few weeks ago, unfortunately it's not working very well. Suddenly at random the audio disappears, often when a USB cable is connected. The two solutions i've found is to listen to an mp3 song in wmp for more than 5 seconds, then the audio will pop and scratch and then work again. That works 2 out of 3 times, and the other times i have to do a soft reset. I upgraded the rom to 1.93.413.3 SVE (that is the swedish version), radio is 1.00.25.05, SPL-1.93.0000. I contacted HTC and after explaining that i've done a firmware upgrade, they told me that it is a hardware issue. I contacted my retailer, but they've taken over a month without any response. So my question now is, have anyone had any issues like this? Should i try other firmwares? Radio? If i do, can i easily restore everything back so that i can leave it for repair without them noticing? Is it a bad idea? If i brick it, i guess i'm screwed..
I know some of these questions are answered here, but i couldnt find anything about my sound issue, except some SMS sound issues, that is not the same problem i am experiencing though.. Also, if someone calls me when i have no sound, neither me or the one i am talking to can hear anything.
Thanks in regards
Johan
sounds like a Hardware issue, do anything you can to get in contact with the Vendor, Phone calls, emails anything.
try the attached driver + sound parameters.
taken from ATT_RAPHAEL_1.94.19971 ROM
It seems this driver handle 2 new audio setting files that were not present in the diamond:
FilterFile and PreProcessFilterFile
It is a new sound driver tested on my Diamond and working fine, less glitches, better sound but doesn't change the poor hardware HP unfortunatly.

Hi TekTonik,
I have tried these drivers on my Diamond but it crashes whenever a sound plays. I copied the contents of the OperatorPKG folder to \Windows then replaced the wavedev.dll. I also added the new keys into the registry (FilterFile, PreProcessFilterFile and AcousticFile).
Are you using a cooked ROM with these drivers or did you update them manually? If so, any ideas what I am missing and also which ROM/Radio are using?
Would it be possible to post your registry settings for HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\WaveDev please?
The reason why I am trying these drivers is in a hope to fix the infamous sound lag which you can read about here:

Hi.
I am also having the same problem. bought a new set, but there is no sound in standby after about 10 minutes. whatever i do, the music player, screen taps, sound settings - still there's no sound.
the only solution is a soft reset - but that too, works for ten minutes, and then again the unit goes deaf n dumb.
Have tried the thread above (to remove the lag), but still, no improvement.
is there a solution to this problem? can anybody guide me? please?

I have exactly the same issue on my SonyEricsson Xperia X1. I really wonder if that's a hardware issue. What I also figured out: When you do the WM Player workaround have a look at the reception indicator. When the sound comes back my reception is lost for a short time. It seems to me the phone module performs a reset.
No Sound on Diamond
I have the exact same problem, and also in my case it only comes back after playing a music file for more than 5 seconds. Has anyone found a solution yet?
I also have the exact problem above on my diamond. Actually, I feel HTC is really not responsible for their product. Their diamond has been released more than 3 months, till now, still no positive feedback to this.
I AM REALLY DISAPPOINTED ABOUT THEIR ATTITUDE. IF I CAN CHOOSE AGAIN, I WILL NOT BUY ANYTHING ELSE FROM HTC.
I also got this problem
Hope someone can find out whats doing it, i doubt its a hardware issue
mee to
sadly it also happend to me, but I think it happend when the batery y less that a 50 %

Hi there, i've been using my KAISER for long time without SIM card. Now i've bought new SIM for this sweetie, however when i tried to call some1 for the first time it was without any problem. Second time there was no sound.. But it disappeared for all device (no media sounds, no alarm and phone). Firstly I thought that it was caused by bad ROM so i managed to reinstall it.. The same problem occured, ive installed different rom.. the same problem.. ive flashed windows rom and everything was alright.. Do anyone know solution of this problem or will i have to get back to that shi**y WM?
Probably is a radio problem, change the radio firmware.

It has happened to me a few times, usually after listening to music with connected headphones. Sometimes when you disconnect the headphones the phone still "thinks" that the HP are connected. It might not be your problem but it's something you might want to investigate if you lose audio after listening to music but as l1q1d mentioned before it's probably a radio related problem.
Problem solved.. it was caused by unlocking kaiser for new SIM from new provider.. It changed my radio however phone was still showing radio 1.70.xx.xx so Ive tried to reflash radio.. and i can call!! THX to you l1q1d.. you're my xda GOD ..

Sounds as if your phone has hardware issues. The intermittent on/off sounds like a short. I doubt its software, but what do I know. If a hard-reset/install does not fix it think you are out of luck... Hello eBay.

Hi and first off, sorry for my bad english .
So i have search almost everywhere for a solution for my problem but no luck so far.
I have been using cyanogen mod for about 2 months without problems (the stable version) but since one week i keept getting delayed sound within calls. I googled the problem and found out that its common, but my problem got worse.
And now i cant even call/recive the normal way, (you have the phone to your ear).
Instead if i want to hear anything from my phone i need to use speaker phones and that kind of blows imo.
I havent dropt the phone so its not damage, and the one i talk to can hear me, but from time and time they also says the line breaks up a bit.
I googled the problem but only found problems with people beeing abel to hear the person there calling but the one reciving the call cant hear the caller.
My problem is opposit of that and thats whats driving me crazy.
The solutions i have tried are:
Reflash phone with cyanogenmod stable 7.0.3 and then 7.1. RC1 after viping the phone and clearing cach. I tried to fix permision with bootloader.
I also tried diffrent mods but i could not get them in to my phone for some reason. Only got boot-loops at the HTC welcome screen.
So anyone els got an idea what i should do?
Go back to stock maybe?
