Speakerphone problem - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

Hi guys,
I've lost my speakerphone icon on XDA 2s. Although, speakerphone functions OK, I have no icon displayed at all. It is very annoying actually.
Secondly, my alarm is ringing an hour late from what I have set, say time is 9 AM alarm set to 9, but rings at 10 AM. I have already got late several times for work
Please help if anyone can. Thanks.

Sound Problems

I've had a O2 XDA Orbit for about 3 months now without any problems, but it seems to devloped a strange fautl today.
This morning (around 7am) the alarm went off as usual, but come about 10 when I tried to make a phone call the call was placed but I could not hear the other person (and she could not hear me). I checked out the phone and noticed that both volume sliders where set to off, changing them and I still could not get any sound out of the device.
In Settings Sounds & Notifications when I press the play button theres no sound, and trying the built in sound/video/midi results in no sound.
Oddly when someone calls, I changed the ring tone to an mp3 wich will play, but again I cant hear the caller, or they hear me.
I've done a soft reboot, with no help, before I tired a hard reset I was wondering if anyone else had any ideas?
I'm having exactly the same problem. If anyone has any advice regarding this I'd be greatly apperciated!

The Speaker

Ok so far I like it - and I love the watch
Maybe a have this wrong....
Mute the watch also mutes the phone
muting the phone does not mute the watch????
So you are in a meeting and you place your hand over the phone, or flip it on its back to mute but your watch keeps ringing! Is it working differently for other people? It just seems so dumb - when would you want to mute the phone in a situation as above but want the watch to keep making sound?

I am finding the speaker to be inconsistent across manufacturer phones. I have an LG G4 and it mostly plays nice. I haven't put the call feature through the full tests but I did notice that when I was on the phone-phone and a 2nd call came through, flipping over to the 2nd caller automatically caused my watch to activate and audio conversation came from the watch, even though I did everything on the phone.
I haven't checked the muted issues, but that could really be an issue I need to really test. I have constant conference calls where I mute. I also work from home most days. I would HATE HATE HATE to mute the phone and talking dirty to my passing GF. Fortunately I do not wear the watch much at home but good to know.
sound Alarm
Sorry can not help you in terms of your question, I'm looking to settle another matter! How can add and change alarm tones or notifications, because I have not found tones than only to call?

You have to do it manually, and you have to be rooted. Admittedly this info. is in the the wrong thread, but Motawa88 posted there, so I helped him out there.
Starting at post #353: http://forum.xda-developers.com/hua...skin1980s-huawei-watch-kernel-t3219576/page36
I suggest maybe starting a separate thread instead of posting ringtone/alarm tones in a kernel thread :good:

Silent alarm?

My previous phone, Gear S2, had no speaker so the alarm was silent and just vibrated. This was ideal for when I work as an invigilator for exams where I have to tell the students to save their work very 20 minutes. My new Galaxy Watch alarm both vibrates and makes a sound which, clearly, is not a good thing in an exam room! Is there a way to turn the sound off or another app which I can use to set alarms? I have been using the Timer alarm but then I can only set one alarm at a time instead of setting all of them in one go.
Thanks for any help.
You can change alarm sound ( set it to mute in your case) and change vibration pattern when swiping to the left while editing your alarm. It's the next screen after the day repeat screen.
Thanks so much! I had never noticed that those settings existed but have changed to mute and all good now.

Question No end call sound when hanging up if ringtone is set to silent

I know this might be a dumb question, but I'm coming from a OnePlus 7 Pro and when I had the ring volume set to silent I would hear a sound at the end of the phone call when either party hung up. Ever since I have set my Pixel 6 Pro to silent though, there is never a sound when hanging up a phone call. Sometimes I can't tell if the other person hung up or just put me on hold. Is there any way to fix this with out turning the ring volume on? I can't really have my ring volume on at work, but would still like to know when I get hung up on.
Do you know if the same happens when you use Do Not Disturb as when you manually have the ring volume manually set to silent? (i.e. don't have the ring volume set to silent before testing Do Not Disturb)

Just tested this out, had do not disturb on and ring volume up and it made the same sound hanging up as when do not disturb is turned off

Awesome! Hopefully, Google doesn't "fix" that workaround.
Thanks man, I must have been a bit slow on the uptake last night and didn't even realize this was a work around until you just replied right now. Now I'll just leave on do no disturb at work and finally be able to hear when a phone call ends.

Sure thing. I thought maybe there was a slight disconnect in our communication, but I wasn't positive.
When Do not Disturb first came out I hated it, but they've improved it so much, within a major Android version or two, I never manually set the ring/notification tone to silence, although there may have been once in a while I set it to vibrate, but rarely.
My last phone between the Pixel 1 and this P6P, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+, they gimped DnD somewhat from stock Android for some dumb reason so that it wasn't quite as feature-full, but it still got the job done.
You can set exceptions for groups of people, particular people, particular apps, except media volume - very configurable although there's still always room for further improvement.

Galaxy Watch4: Intermittent display of WhatsApp incoming calls

Dear all,
my apologies if this topic alredy exists in this forum.
My problem:
I'm pairing my Watch4 via BT with Note8, Android version 9.
WhatsApp text messages show up on the watch as expected, but calls don't. I get notified about missed calls, but those specific notifications show themselves as that orange dot only. No vibration or sound. I could stand having this issue if at least the "missed call" notification would work well.
Here's the odd thing; every now and then I actually do get that call notification, with the opportunity to decline. But not very often and there is no behavior pattern whatsoever. Seems totally random.
It didn't work with my old Galaxy Active Watch either, so I'm suspecting that the problem might be with the phone, not the watch.
I would so much appreciate some good advice on how to troubleshoot this. Or at least an explanation of the cause.
Anyone...?
