3200mah battery & cover £15 - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro Accessories

For those of you who like me get a flat battery in a day when playing:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=9728841261&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MEWN:IT&rd=1
from seller carmenwong0208
I thought this was pretty cheap! Now I typically get 85% batt left at end of day. Sticks out the case about 7mm.
Let me know please if anyone knows of a double capacity battery that is the standard size, or even one that is say 2500mah.
Greg.

Will the phone still fit in the Brodit passive in car holder with this battery fitted?

no idea, its about 7mm thicker though.

[Q] Battery Replacement w/case?

Ok so i have found a replacement battery (3500 MAH) for $22.49. It comes with a replacement back for it (I assume cause the battery is fatter than the normal battery that comes with the evo). My question is there any good batterys that are the same size as the original or a case (like otterbox or body glove) to fit a fatter battery?
It's a little more expensive but I bought the siedio and you can get the protective case that fits it. On the other hand, I've heard of people modifying regular cases by cutting out the back so it fits over the larger door. Cut the hard case with a dremel or something. The soft cases you could probably cut with scissors. Just cut a little at a time to fit. You'll get protection at least on the edges where the phone usually hits first. Hopefully this helps.
sent from my awesome EVO
The biggest battery you can get to fit the stock case is a 1750 mah battery (vs. 1500 in the original).
thank you both of you answered my questions cause my next question dkelle4 had answered so thanks a lot
I just got a 3500 from ebay and I can't use my otterbox or seido case, but its worth the battery life
Evo 4G!!!
One thing you guys may or may not know is that the charge light turns green at 1500 mah. You have to charge the battery an extra couple hours, bout 3. Also wipe battery stats, recovery then advanced. Good luck. I hope this helps.

[Q] Case for Sprint 2600mah battery

Hi,
Wife loves her Evo, but hates the battery life. She really uses it, so she has to keep it on the charger. I have a Platinum (aka Seidio) 3500mah battery and love it, but she doesn't like how it makes the phone "huge". So I got her the Sprint battery. It's not much smaller, but apparently it is good enough. But she won't use the phone without a case. This is probably a good thing, because she drops it. Much more often than I like. I've been looking for a good case that will fit the battery. I've seen several posts that say that Seidio's Surface extended case will work. But I was thinking about the purple Laza case for Laza's extended battery (can't post a link. It's on Amazon). She loves purple, so this would be perfect. Does anyone know if this would work, or if there are any other cases that I should consider for her phone?
Thanks
In terms of cases your gonna be limited on what you can get . In the case of the Seidio (which I have) I had to cut the back out of a TPU case and more or less make a bumper case on my phone . Essentially you could do the same with the Sprint 2600 and its backplate . But you will still have a hump coming out of the case . The Laza case I believe only works for their backplate unless you are planning on getting that with the purple case . Like I said your options are gonna be limited . In terms of cutting a case like I mentioned before . If you take your time and measure it out very well you would almost believe it was part of the extended battery back and one piece .
Can you buy the backplate separately from the battery? I didn't see it for sale anywhere, but might have missed it. I'd be fine doing that if I could do it and if it would work with the battery. I'd also do it for my Seidio battery as well. I'd rather have one of the silicone cases than the Seidio case.
More than likely you should be able to buy the battery back by itself . I know Seidio sells their battery back as a seperate part . As for other battery manufacturers I am not sure about .

Right. It's just a question of finding one that will fit the Sprint 2600 battery. It has an oddly shaped battery cover. If I could replace the battery cover with something more common, then the world of cases would open right up...
May this help you decide
For what would be cheaper than the cost for a back elsewhere I thought why not just get a cheap battery for the price.
The 2600 battery I have is a cheap chinese version its the same size as the 3500 I got from Amazon, they fit the same back... Appears to be the same size as sprints 2600.
http://www.amazon.com/Laza-Sprint-Extended-Battery-Silicone/dp/B004LOBXZ2
The 3500 (generic, not laza) was 8$ and some change, comes with a back (exact size as lazas 3500 battery back) and fits the laza silicone case (you mentioned) that I also got (14.99) and it fits perfect, so you could use both 2600 and 3500 batteries with same back..
Those and a 6$ hdmi cable qualified me for free shipping (took about 2wks)... but all for under 30.
Backing fits case, contours and protects well, awesome battery life
after calibration. I been using for about 3 wks now.
No complaints ...it is bulky but I got big hands and it feels sturdy.
i bought my case from gorillagadgets.com check it out. pretty nice and fits the phone w/ extended battery

I have the 2600 from amazon and I wanted to get a silicone case but if a 3500 is that cheap and both batteries can fit the case I'll get the battery too and go with that!
-thanks for the heads up
I have the seidio innocase extended and it works with the 2600 battery.

Do you happen to have the link to the battery that you bought. Buying an ultra cheap battery for the back sounds like a good idea for me. I already have the 2600mah from Sprint and it's too late to bring it back. I used it for a while, and I liked it, but in the end, I opted for the Seidio 3500. So I want my wife to use the 2600 from Sprint.

If ur wiling to do a bit of modification, you can fit the sprint 2600 battery inside of a ballistic case.... I have it and its a beauty, no one ever knows that theres an extended battery inside unless i pop out the cover

Mugen 4500mAH Battery+Back

Hi
A 4500mAH Mugen extended battery battery is supposed to be shipping 'soon' for the Note:
http://www.mugen-power-batteries.co...or-samsung-galaxy-note-with-battery-door.html
At that price ($109), i'll be letting someone else sample/report on it first!!
I was expecting the Mugen for the note to be a bit bigger, but it is the same capacity as their extended battery for the S2.
Nigel
5000mAH Chinese extended battery: http://www.aliexpress.com/product-f...ith-Back-cover-4pcs-lot-High-wholesalers.html
Chunky!
I've ordered the Mugen. I'll report back on performance in a few weeks once I've got it and cycled it a couple of times.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using XDA App
And I ordered "el cheapo" from ebay. Will report back once it arrives from HK.
I got the same cheap Chinese battery. Two batteries, wall charger, car USB charger, USB cord - all for around 10 bucks. The batteries are rated at 2500 mA, but get discharged almost twice as fast as the stock one. The wall charger is poor quality, I had to open it to solder the leads back in place.
All that considered, the deal is pretty decent for the price.
With that price, u can buy 3 extra OEM Samsung Note battery 3x2500=7500mah and still keep the thin look on the Note.
I love the Mugen batteries except none of the cases fit. Does anyone know if the bumper cases fit with the bigger batteries??
Buy Sanyo Eneloop 5000mAh, multi purpose mobile charger pack.
I wonder if Mugen is going to make an OEM sized one with 3000 mah Those are usually, price wise, comparable to the original batteries, and have a little more umff to them! But I think 110 dollars for a battery is a little over priced.
On the Mugen Website it now has a product image and it looks like the battery cover has a kickstand. Or is that just a generic image place holder?
**EDIT**
Yes it is a battery cover with built in kickstand. Nice!
And the expanded cover is available in black OR white (or red?), and it looks much better than I would have expected. Still chunky, but might be easier to hold.
EDIT: wonder what the effect is on the external speaker?
Love Mugen quality batteries, Ive been using them since my dell axim days

I live in Spain, and I have purchased about 4 of these batteries and I have never once paid customs / importation taxes.
Looks good, the only thing that worries me is the real capacity. the 30Euro samsung battery says its 2500mah and its really2450-2500 mah battery. But usually, according to tests from the past. Mugen batteries rarely reach 75 percent of their advertised capacity. And thats a ripoff. Ive been considering buying mugen 3200mah for S2, but then I found out its really a ~2600mah battery for sky high price. I will be surprised if this battery proves to have at least 4000mah in the future when someone does a discharge test on this expensive piece of thing.
P.S. also to the wise guy saying he will buy a cheap ebay 5000mah, those are probably even worse than stock sammy battery with double the thickness.

I've bought some other cheap batteries from eBay. I would suspect it's 3500-4000mah. The one Mugen I've had was close to the advertised capacity. I'd say at least 85%.

Mugen is a dutch company so you wont need to pay custom duties if you are in the EU.
According to their website Mugen are based in China
How much weight does it add to the unit?
Does it make one hand operation more difficult due to extra thickness? I can sort of manage one hand operation with a lanyard currently.
Anyone has bouhgt the Mugen-Battery-Pack and can post some pictures or better still a video?
I'm interested about the dimension/handling of the package and can't find something like that!
Thank's! Best regards!
Andi
I'm interested, but it looks lke it will make it pretty thick, and I like the portabilty I have, meaning, I like the fact it fits in my pants pocket without being to bulky. I viewed the phots with the battery and the case it comes with, it will be pretty thick.

Battery Case by Hyperion

Does anyone have this case for their Nexus?
http://www.amazon.com/Hyperion-Rech...1345649663&sr=8-3&keywords=battery+case+nexus
I've been looking around, and aside from getting a 3rd party battery with a larger back, this might be something to look into. I love the extended battery cases for iPhones because those are slim and pack a nice punch, but this just looks thick and clunky to me.
Anyone have any experience or photos of it?
Or do you have any recommendations for a different case?
I saw someone selling one of these in the marketplace a few weeks ago... PM'd a question about it but never got a response.
Based on the amazon reviews, doesn't seem to be a great product. Looks bulky and cheap. If you search ebay, you can get them there for about $20.
One thing that jumps out from the start is how the headphone jack would be used with type of case? It seems awfully bulky at the bottom end and doesn't have a nice wide opening for the jack to make it through the thick case.
You would be better off just buying one of the huge extended batteries IMO.
Yeah these type of batteries dont offer anywhere near as much extra juice as advertised. I personally use my regular OEM battery and keep an external microusb charger with me that runs off rechargeable batteries for the times I do use my phone a lot. Or you could just buy a spare battery and keep that charged but I would stay away from these types. I used one once and returned it after it took forever to charge and only charged my phone I think 30% on a full charge.

Best compromise battery?

I'm using the stock battery right now. I have two of them and a charger that let's me charge the second battery outside my phone. I have $10 amazon credit and was thinking of getting the zero lemon but that looks like overkill. I have the otterbox commuter case and don't feel like going much bigger than that. I would like whatever case to at least offer decent protection as well. Am I just better off throwing a spare charged battery in my pocket and swapping batteries if nescessary? I do have a huge anker charger that i could use as well but it would pull my pants to my ankles if i put it in my pocket. Maybe I should find a thinner and lighter battery pack?
