Hi,
when I make a call, the left soft key says calendar, can i change it to speaker phone?
it would be very convient for when I'm driving, I can just press the left soft key.
instead of looking at the phone and going to menu.
Thanks

k good to no that it works
Ok, 2 say i am a little annoyed is the understatement of the year for me!
When i call a company ( no matter what company.... ) most of `em start with a menu, wich asks you to dial a number.....
I would, if i could!
I can not get the numberpad up when i am actually in a call....
Can some 1 point me out how to get the friggin` thing 2 work?
lolz
Greets
Tap the "keypad" button to bring back the number pad.
Uhuh, i wish it was that simple, coz it is not showing the symbol to tap on!
What now?
Really have no clue....

Is there a setting somewhere so that we don't have to keep on tapping the keypad or the call button?
I would like for it to stay on during a call.
Anyone? Thanks...
ok, found it.....
Feel stupid, was the only button i did NOT try.......
It says "keylock"...... usually it will lock keys if you push it, but in this case it shows the dialbuttons.......
took me a while though.... whahaha
But thnx 4 the thinking...

Hello,
On my HTC S710 it was possible to long press the call button when you take on the call, and automaticly get the call into speakermode.
I want to know if the same thing is possible to have on the Touch Pro2. (and yes i know i can flip over the phone to get that, but thats not working when i'm driving a car )
yes that works with the TP2

Not as I know - first single press and then long press.
But, you might try some programs that activate the speakerphone automatically (e.g. a program called... yes: 'Speakerphone' )
maybe you can program them to turn it on only when connected to mains without ActiveSync connection.
Just now I received one incoming call,i pressed side volume button, the phone was silenced, I tried again,no matter up volume button or down button, the ring will be silenced.
Is this the normal feature of HTC Touch Pro2? or is the bug of the rom I am using? or there is any setting that can change this behavior?
pls kindly test with your phone, help me with this issue.

I don't think it's a bug, and it's a feature of the tp2. I've used that feature all the time, and it works the same in all the roms I've tried. If you don't want the ring silenced, don't press the side volume button....though I have hit it by mistake when pulling my phone out from time to time....but by this time, you already know you have a call, so no big deal.

thanks for reply,I am relieved.
Aye. normal feature. Its even part of the stock rom. Its easier if you want to silence your phone rather than trying to fumble around on the touch screen if you need to silence it quickly.

Got a new thinking when came back to look at this post, this HTC phone....press volume key to mute incoming call (ringer) is good feature for people, but maybe some people dont like it,they want the phone to ring for a while and let people around him know that he got a good ringtone or he got busy. if the ring stops by accidentally pressing the volume key,he will be pissed off.
Joke is joke, but will be nice if there is option to disable this press-volume-key-to-mute-incoming-call thing.
I feel like such a noob for asking this but I can't figure it out.
How do I reject an incoming call when the screen is locked? I want to let the call go thru immediately to voicemail.
I have tried:
- turning the phone face down (which silences the ringer but doesn't reject the call)
- swiping up (this seems to work on some other phones but not the Defy)
Is there some setting I am missing? All I can do is unlock the screen and then hang up on the person - not very polite, and they don't even go thru to voicemail!
Oops sorry I figured it out ... it's the POWER button.
Doh!
there should be a green and a red slider, slide the red one.

Yeah that works too - and I did try this the first time, but probably my swiping skills are poor.
I've changed the thread title to 'Solved'
Thanks to all.
I really feel like a dumb noob
