I downloaded the Traditional Chinese Dopod ROM (UNI Dopod 1.13.36CHT) from the downloads page on buzzdev.net and flashed it onto my Vodafone V1640 (which had the latest i-Mate JasJar ROM on it then). Everything's fine but Windows Media Player does not open! Trying to open it by clicking on an MP3 file didn't work either. Nothing happens at all!! Any solutions this this problem?
Well I did a hard reset and it seemed to be the ext. ROM's fault. I didn't install the ext. ROM and now I have WMP and Word Mobile working properly.
Argh! It's happening again... Seems like it doesn't work well with some programs on the Universal... I give up.

Anybody have the list or know how to get the installation files for softwares installed after a hard reset / rom installation in Eten M600 ppc?
I have a problem running WM5Storage with rom 215 and 216, but was ok with 213. Based on someone's suggestion, I soft reset the device after hard reset and just before auto installation of softwares (after the screen alignment process). And then install and run WM5Storage and it works!
So, I'd like to track down which software conflicts with WM5Storage, and also Softick Card Export.
Thanks.
A bit confused here, I think what you are looking for is the programs in your `Ext Rom`. Do search (on this forum) to see how to extract / unlock this ext rom for your device.
I tried all I can find, but no luck.
Sorry, just got to know that your ETEN M600 is not from HTC where most of the discussions here are about. You may want to try your luck on other places.
How do get realone player into my BA? BBC pda says it will play only realone most of the times and only sometimes on WM.can any one help me plz?
rom-1.31.00 wwe
there is a realplayer for ppc do a google search,
if it doesn't install (during the install process) go to temp files and you will find the real.cab copy it to your ppc and install it.
if you still can't find it post here I'll send it to you.
Thanks, will try and get back.I did download realone from the net for ppc to my desktop, should I copy this to my storage card and then try installing it? Im pretty hesitant to do fiddle around ,if something goes wrong I have no one to pull me out here in cghennai except THIS FORUM!!

If you have downloaded a cab file then copy it to the ppc and run it from there. If it is an exe file, run it on desktop and proceed with the installation.
You might face some problems, if you have activesync 4.x installed because installer of realone works with only 3.x version of activesync.
got realone in finally
Yep I did it finally.Activated activesync via blutooth (remember my cradle is broken?)downloaded realone for PPC from the net.Ran the setup on my desktop and it automatically installed realone on my PPC via blutooth. It all seemed like magic but its done. Thanks guys you've been a great help.

Hi there!
I had TomTom Navigator 6 installed on my P3600 (it came on a CD with the device when I purchased it) and it worked just fine.
Yesterday, I decided to change my ROM from the official one to Dopod's WM6 one (the so called "Shadowmite's safely converted update").
Everything went fine, except for the fact that, whenever I try to install TomTom, it does everything like it was installing it without problems, but, in the end, it tells me:
"the installation of TomTom Navigator.CAB was unsuccessful"
Any ideas on how to solve this?
Thanks in advance!
That's because TomTom Nav 6 is not compatable with WM6 - a reason I have never yet upgraded my ROM until TomTom Nav 6.5 comes out and at least
HTC 3600 official WM6 ROM comes out.

Not true, it's working fine. The problem is at the moment the changing DEVICE ID which means you've got the activate the map fgain. You've got the reaload the POI (Safety camera's) too together with the Traffic info, then the DEVICE ID on the site has to be the same as in your device. Changing the DEVICE ID more then once every 6 mkonths isn't possible, that's the real problem. No software problems, just to update this field in their database.

TomTom 6.03 installed fine after I flashed the Dopod SEA WM6 ROM (on my P3600). When I launched the application, it just asked me to re-register the software. When I typed in the license key, it started a data connection to TomTom and after a few seconds, TomTom launched as usual. By the way, there is an autorun file on the SD card that installs TomTom automatically when you insert the card in your phone.
go to hard-reset and the first install is tomtom. Work good.

Use mUn's INDIGO Full, works great ... faster then any ROM before.
Ok guys, I solved it.
I was trying to install TomTom using the CD setup (and it worked before WM6).
This time, I extracted the CAB and copied it to my SD card and ran it directly in my device.
That did the trick.
Thanks anyway for all your responses.

So deinstall tomtom complettly when delete all tomtom folder from device and sd card ( but not the MAP).
Reset the device and install tomtom 7 again.
before start tt7 you copy the voice files in the folder where tt7 is installed
and then you can start tt7.
and see it would work fine.
in order
- flash the radio
- flash the ROM
- install tomtom (don't run yet)
- copy voice into root directory, called voices
- start tomtom
if fail, soft reset your pda, and then start tomtom without starting any other application and see

It isn't the radio that is the problem. The "out of memory" message comes up when there are remnants of a previous version or installation of Tomtom on the device. You need to uninstall the program and remove any trace of it from the registry etc.
Trust me.....TT6 and TT7 work extremely well in Trinity.
to report
on my p3600 running 1.56.70.11 radio + tt7 + chinese IME + other stuff to take up memory
everything works fine ! never had a problem... now radio fix was never fast with my device.. so that's about it

I know it works fine, but since i've changed from wm5 to the first wm6 he never runs anymore tomtom...
then, i've flashed 2 or 3 diferent roms 6.1 and radios... and diferent versions of tomtom with hard reset... and nothing.
now i've do that of the voices folders before run the 1st time and he stucks again...
i guess that with the hard reset no data from instalations remains... or not?
thank you all!!

Where are you installing Tomtom? On the device or on the Storage card?
If you are installing to the storage card then YES there will be left over files from the previous installation. The voices folder should be on the storage card as should your map folder, install the program onto the device.
SOLVED!!
the solution...
just erased a file inside the map folder called mapuserpatch.dat and Mapseting.cfg... anfer the «touch» of the map...
simple thing... now when i put the map version 725.1883 goes fine!
Thank YOU ALL for your replyes!!

Hi
I'm new, trying hard.
I have the 2790b, successfully flashed wm6.1, thanks to tommy's software and this top place!
I have tcmp player and it works, but windows media player wont, I loaded the old wm5 codecs found here, still same.
How can I either get it working or delete the program?
It also keeps launching itself with "storage card inserted, search for video files"
I have d/l the kitchen files but not loaded yet, will that help?
