Hi friends!
I have a problem with my QTEK9090. From time to time when caller calls to my the telephone is mute!The only thing that temporarily solves this is then I do a soft reset.
Is true that the "Unidirectional Audio patch" resolves this problem?
help me!
This problem is still not solved, not that I know at least.. The patch didn't work on my device.
The only way to make it work is to always have bluetooth turned on.

Having BT on drains the battery, but thats the only way to make it work. It sucks big time!
I have realized that the cab doesn't extract anything.
You must manually replace the file AudioGW.dll in the directory Windows.
Now see if it works!!! :wink:

that's a common problem, i have that problem as well.
they also recommended me before with this kind of trick from this website.
what i do is turn the bluetooth on and off, and it works.
less battery drain when doing so.

u meant that by extracting the .dll file from the fix/patch and replacing it into the win dir i can make/receive calls normaly??
the only fix ive found is the bt tip but really drains the btt... if i do understand well about this, could u please send me the .dll file to my mail [email protected] so i can do it from here with my qtek9090

as I have said... for now it works but only the time can tell it.

I leave my bluetooth on 24/7 and each night when i go to bed i still have at least 30-40% of my battery life remaining, BT does not actually use that much battery power. now WiFi, that will eat a battery up fast!

i applyed the .dll to my windows dir. untill now is working but is too soon to tell for sure. ill let you know if the issue is gone after time... hope you can do the same.

From the time you turn the bluetooth ON and Off again the problem will occur with in 15 minutes thats for sure! You dont need to have BT turned on all the time! Just make a soft reset after you use Bluetooth and the problem will NOT occur until the next time you turn BT on.

Replacing the DLL doesnt work. it says it is a rom file and cannot be deleted. I have tried many times.
Have you tried to disarm the gsm and to close all the active programs?
Perhaps I have succeeded because I use a rom "open"...
If others want the .dll he must decompress the .cab (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/uploads/PDA2k_UniDirectional_Patch.sa.cab) and to rename the file "_AudioGW.002" in audiogw.dll and to copy it in the directory "windows" of the PDA.

From when I have replaced the .dll I normally use the BT and the GSM works very well without making a softreset...is it a case?

I can't copy the .dll file to windows folder. and i already close all program n gsm...

Hi, has anyone managed to get a SDHC card to work with WM5? i have tried a couple of different CAB files, but non have worked. I cant change my ROM, so CAB files are the only option
just curious, but why can't you change the ROM ???
Is it a technical problem, or a company owned phone that you don't want to fiddle with ??

Technical, doesnt sync with USB anymore, caused by charging the phone in the car while starting the engine, causes a spike in the current = blown USB board... still charges tho!

what about doing the CID unlock? does anyone know of a way of doing this with out USB? is it possible to do using a Bluetooth sync?

Unless anyone knows better, the problem isn't with WM5, it's with the hardware. SDHC still doesn't work after upgrade to WM6.
Edited an hour later: yes, I'm glad to say someone does know better I tried this about 4 months ago and it didn't work, but I just had a look and there is now a later (and much larger) .CAB than the one I installed last time, and this one works! Excellent news, never been so pleased to have been wrong. But I am running WM6.

i recently purchased a used BT s620 phone which is locked to BT.
do i need to get it CID unlocked and SIM unlocked??- ive already got it application unlocked.
how much would i be looking to pay in order to get it CID and SIM unlocked??
the reason i ask these questions is because in KAVANA's post it says the wizard does all the unlocking?? does that mean i wont need to do any CID and SIM unlocking??

you are correct. Kavana has built in the Jump SPL CID bypass function so it bypasses "reading " the CID when installing the ROM and you dont' need your phone to be SIM unlocked to install it either.
I'm also a BT user and flashed with Kavana Ricky Remade, just follow the instructions, Hard Reset s620 before, no need for any extra software, the only problem i have is MMS doesn't work but then i never have used MMS.

to be on the safe side... make sure you hard reset your phone b-4 the install, and also PLEASE MAKE SURE you remove your storage card if you have one installed

nice, 10 dollars is fine
an annoying problem however(2 infact) :
1. the phone beeps every time the lcd switches off to save power. how would i disable that
2. and i cannot make full use of the qwerty keyboard as the number keys work like a regular phones keys....

The beep not sure about is your wi-fi on because it beeps when the lcd switches off, in the sounds settings everything below and including SIM toolkit messages i have turned off.

i went for kavanas rom.
it is as if the function keys are unresponsive so i cant change from numbers to letters...
what does this et9.cab do?
and yes i have wifi on- should i just switch off all the sounds accept vital ones?

eT9.cab sets the uk keyboard layout, some of my layout are not correct don't get :;
Follow the instruction on link.
There is also a bit on the Kavana thread about this.
I still get the beep when the screen goes out as the wi-fi disconnects, just turn the others off through choice, i hate phone noises.
Except obviously the noise of my Pendulum ringtone and the classic WM text tone.

well, i know the file- ding.wav
ive found it in the windows folder of the fones memory.
my theory was just to replace it with an empty silent ding.wav (attached)
but i cant edit the read only files i just found out- or can you? maybe a different file editor.

I thought that was the idea, use Resco Explorer find the file in question check properties "action/properties" to make sure not protected read only & copy over it. "Keep a copy of original sound just in case"
ive tried it with resco- hopefully it works.

Hi, first time poster, short time reader (Hey, only had the Dash for a week). Previous phone was a Q on Verizon.
Kavana image is wonderful and saved me from wanting to throw my Dash (with T-mobile image) against a wall.
Quick Question: Is the Dash Sim unlocked because we replaced the ROM? Or is it still carrier locked?

hi guys i have am artemis (or xda orbit) in imaculate condition there is not a mark or scratch on it but it is faulty everything worls gps pda functions it's just the cell part of the phone it won't connect to my network automatically. If i choose manual it connects fine with a good signal but i am unable to make calls i don't understand it and have given up so i am selling it if any of you guys are interested let me know thanks.

yah tried new rom nd radio rom is a weird problem it will connect but only ifi manually choose network but even when it is connected it won't make calls

Yesterday my HTC Excalibur stopped receiving calls, text messages and would not make calls.
I turned the phone off, took the battery and SIM Card out, put it in 5 minutes later hoping it would work again, it did not.
I did a reset of the phone (accessories, clear storage, 1234), that did not work.
This morning I tried swapping SIM cards with someone else (to see if was the service provider). Both SIM Cards worked in my friends Sony Ericsson but neither worked in my HTC Excalibur.
I have the 3V0 Windows Mobile 6.5 installed.
Is there a way I can fix this?

No, I don't know how.
The phone came with it installed. I bought it new, but the seller installed WM 6.5 before shipping, so it's more like open box.
How long does it take? Should I leave that as a last resort?
Is there anything I can tweak on my phone right now?

As I sent you via PM, hard reset or reflash your device. If that doesn't work get a new sim from your carrier since it can be network related.

reflashed to 6.1 but still no luck.
Again I tried another working sim from the same carrier, both sims work in my friends phone, but neither work on my s620.
I'v been in contact with jockyw2001 for his Excalibur Sim Unlock.
I just don't understand why I have to pay someone for this, I just bought the phone less than a month ago and it's been working perfectly.
How did this happen? How did my phone get locked?

Yes, the phone radio is on.
Now sometimes it says Rogers Wireless rather than searching.
But when I call someone, it does everything but complete the call. It just beeps twice and says 00:00.

That's the last resort my friend....when a doctor doesn't know what the patient has...he opens to see what's the problem .
This is something that you do it at your own risk, maybe you have some dirt inside that needs to be clean.
