When I connect any bluetooth devices to my orange SPV M2000, the main volume on the device is reduced
When I disconnect the bluetooth devices the volume remains low
I then switch bluetooth off, but the volume still remains low
The only way I can find round this is to soft reset, or am I missing something?

My bluetooth headset is awful quiet, my phone volume i all the way up, and it appears that the bluetooth volume is all the way up also. Any suggestions?
I've noticed a few people seem to have a problem with their volume in their headsets, but with my phone i can't adjust the volume during calls at all, headset or otherwise. i press the volume buttons, and the slider appears on screen going up and down, but even when i reduce it to minimum, the volume remains earsplittingly loud.
anyone got any ideas?
Thanks!
I'm noticing some issues with the media volume. In short, there are times I can get the phone in a state where media is playing, volume is all the way down, and when I hit volume-up ONCE it goes to full volume (over bluetooth). This is not very pleasant when playing media over a bluetooth speaker in the morning and it goes full volume.
Steps to replicate:
1. With media NOT playing and bluetooth disconnected use the volume rocker bring up volume menu.
2. Expand the volume menu to show media volume, select any volume then select minimum/off volume.
3. Turn the bluetooth speaker on and wait for it to connect
4. Start playing music (in my case google play music) - no sound is emitted from bluetooth speaker
5. Hit volume rocker UP - sound level jumps to last known bluetooth volume + 1
If I leave the media volume alone while media is NOT playing, then everything works fine. It's the moment I adjust that volume when it doesn't have priority on the volume rocker.
When media is NOT playing, I noticed that the media volume (in the menu that appears when changing volume) doesn't always match what is under SETTINGS>SOUND & NOTIFICATION. I think this might be a related issue.
Anyone else experience this issue?
I rarely make calls in my car, so I do not know if this was much of an issue on my older head unit*, or if it was a symptom prior to root.
I have a new unit from Pumpkin - MTC8-KLD6-V2.81
Rooted with Malaysk's latest ROM
My phone (HTC M8) is connected through bluetooth. Music plays just fine through the system.
When I make a call, however;
1) Music Stops and head unit goes silent (not a problem)
2) I hear a bit of static (I have had low volume static since I upgraded to Malaysk if the head unit is on and nothing is playing)(again, not really a problem)
3) Phone starts to make a call.
4) Static suddenly goes away, as if the volume was suddenly turned down
5) I can barely hear the phone ring through the head unit.
I have tried turning up the volume all the way on the phone (volume on the phone seems to do nothing when in a bluetooth call) and turning up the head unit. If I have the head unit all the way up, I CAN hear reasonably well, but that's at a volume of 30 when everything else plays loud enough at 5.
I have looked for different setting on the phone and on the head unit and have found nothing. I have adjusted the Factory Settings -> Audio, but that changes bluetooth as a whole and make the music play too loud.
I would say that the issue is is similar to switching the phone from "regular" (where 1-10 is set for being near one's ear) to "speaker" (where 1-10 can be heard across the room) and the phone is telling the head unit to stay at "regular".
Actually, on my first head unit the problem was just the opposite and phone calls were always way too loud.
Anyone have ideas on other settings I should try?
Thanks
I think there are options in the factory settings are for individual volume controls.

There are, but the option is for "Bluetooth" in general.
Bluetooth itself is fine, and I can listen to music from my phone through Bluetooth at whatever level I choose. The problem is that when it switches to phone (dialing out or coming in) the volume drops drastically and I have to turn the head unit's volume up all the way to hear at all. That means the music from Bluetooth will come back at speaker (or at least ear) damaging levels once the call ends.
If adjusting the BT volume is not enough, test with others volume settings lowering/raising some of them.
the norm is the hands free on these units are not the best and there are some mods out there on the forum..
Hey Guys.
Have an issue with the sound on my PX5 and was wondering if anybody has experienced the same.
The issue is when I turn the volume up or down, does not matter if it's the radio knob or steering wheel, the sound sometimes disappear, I then have to turn the volume up or down again and it comes back.
Sometimes when a track is changed there is no sound, then have to turn up or down volume again and it comes back.
Was wondering if this is a common issue with the Px5?
