Hi,
Anyone managed to install TOM TOM 5 on the Wizard using WM2005?
Beats the hell outta me!
Installs from SD OK, gets to select voice screen and locks.
Is there a known problem with TOM TOM 5 and WM2005?
I used to use the exact same TOM TOM on my XDA IIs with no probs.
Please share your infinitie wisdom good people of XDA-Developers!
Ta!
They have a free upgrade to support 2005: http://www.tomtom.com/support/index.php?Language=1&query=windows+mobile+2005&FID=3447
Was there any trick to installing it?
I have a copy that installs of an SD card. I copied the program folders to the Mini SD card in my 8125 but the install did not start when I inserted the card. I tried starting the start program manually from both the card and the phone's memory with no luck.
This is also from TOMTOM:
Below is the application that should be used in order to install Navigator 5 to your pocket pc. After downloading this file and saving it to your computer, please execute it. It is best to have your pocket pc connected through ActiveSync while proceeding with the installation. It is best to make sure there are no CDs in your CD drive at the time of downloading and installing this file to your pocket pc.
http://www.tomtom.com/updates/navupd521.exe
Once the installation is finished, please close out all windows that were opened and then place the "application and user manual" CD in the CD drive. The only need for the "application and user manual" disk is for the voices. When you place the “application and user manual” into the CD drive, the CD installer will execute. It is best to cancel the setup however leave the “application and user manual” in the CD drive. Once the setup is cancelled, please execute the 5.21 update again (the file should have been saved to your computer from the original download).
Due to the version of ActiveSync you may be using with your pocket pc (WM 5.0), the installer from the CD will not recognize your pocket pc being connected. This is the reason for using the 5.21 update as an interface. Generally when you download an update from the support section of the website, if there is a TomTom CD in the CD drive at the time of running the update, the update will act as an interface for the CD and allow you to install the information from the CD to your pocket pc.
After executing the 5.21 update again (please make sure the application and user manual CD is in your CD drive), this should allow you to proceed with the installation of the voice file. Please follow through the TomTom resource CD setup (i.e. choose a language, agree to license agreement). Once you are viewing the options menu, you want to choose "add/remove extra features". Then choose "add a voice prompt". Once you choose "add a voice prompt", choose the voice file you would like to hear when traveling. After the voice file has installed fully, please close out all windows and proceed with the installation of the map data. It is best to start with CD 1. If you choose a map file that isn't located on CD 1, the CD will prompt you which CD to switch too. After installing the map data, you should then be ready to activate your maps.
If you experience problems installing the map files due to a “TomTom Setup Application” error, please visit the link below.
www.tomtom.com/3701
The next step would be to activate your device. There are two different codes that are needed in order to activate your new maps. The first code is the product code (15 alpha-numeric code). This code can be found on a small plastic credit card found inside the box the upgrade software was shipped in. The next code you will need is the device code (10 alpha-numeric code). This can be found on the Pocket pc screen. By taking these two codes to www.ttcode.com and entering them in as requested, you will then be provided a third code which is called your activation code (15 alpha-numeric code). Please note this code. It can be used at a later date if needed. Once you have obtained your activation code, click "activate" on the Pocket pc screen. The device will offer a screen where the activation code can be typed into. Once the code has been typed into this screen, choose "done" located on the bottom of the screen. You device should now by fully functional.
Thanks
Got it working on my XDA Mini S. Had to add in some voices manually to get it to work and also added the full UK postal code manually.
Going to bed, but will post the file system breakdown in the next day or so.
Watch this space.

First time post ...
I recently downloaded the 1.13.53 WWE ROM update from the Imate site and attempted to install it on my JasJar. The update failed leaving my JasJar in boot loader mode. No reset method seemed to work to bring it back up. Subsequent attempts to load the ROM update gave me the dreaded "Country Code" error. Here are the steps I followed to get the ROM update to succeed:
1. Uninstalled ActiveSync 4.0 and installed ActiveSync 4.1 as downloaded from XDA FTP site. Disabled firewall and Anti-virus. Rebooted machine. I am not sure whether this step was neccessary or not but noted that others had some success with this. At this point I was still getting the country code error when trying to install ther update.
2. Run the update but once you get to the first screen that asks you if you want to proceed, switch to the Windows file system using Explorer and set the current directory to your TEMP directory. If you are not sure where this is, open a command prompt (Start - Run - CMD - OK) and type SET. This will display environment variables. Look for the one called TEMP - that is where you want to go.
3. Search for a file called ROMUpgradeUT.exe or RUU.conf anywhere in the TEMP directory or its subdirectories. When you find the correct directory, copy the files to a new location.
4. In the new location, edit the RUU.conf file and add the following text at the end of the file:
[CHECKCEID_TYPE]=1
5. Save the file and then run ROMUpgradeUT.exe
At this point I was able to get past the country code error and the update began. The radio upgrade was the first component and it took the most time (about 10-15 minutes). The other 2 components upgraded the extended ROM and the OS but only took about 5 minutes each.
After getting the completion message on my PC I also noted a "100% complete" message on the JasJar screen. After a hard reset (soft keys and reset) the JasJar came up with the upgraded ROM in place and I was REALLY HAPPY!
I don't know if this will work for anyone else - use at your own risk but I wanted to share what has worked for me.
BTW - many thanks to all the previous posters who left "breadcrumbs" for me to follow in getting my JasJar back. This community is SUPERB!
Thanks again.

Help, I did something wrong and I sort of cant use the phone anymore.
I installed a topbar. Unluckly I didn't read the info about it, and that it was made for Win 6.1.
I cannot access the menu, thus I cant uninstall the topbar or hard-reset my phone. There's a key combinatiou that's "Camera + Send + Power Button" that resets it. Problem resides there; My cellphone have a touch sensistive Send button, and this instruction is for a similar phone which possess a hard Send button. I can still, however, make calls and answer, send SMS's and read emails and activate bluetooth or wifi, but I can't start any app (I cant open the menu) or use the Mobile Device Center to do anything through USB (I've set it to connect directly as USB Mode and not to ask), I'll look for a Bluetooth dongle today to try to connect it through bluetooth.
I'm desperate. This phone is brand new but I already have made esthetical and hardware changes, so I've voided the warranty. Also that's a China phone, even though this particular model is able to update the ROM, I don't have the original ROM or knowledge to backup the actual one.
Any help is accepted. If there's any trick to go into "Add/Remove programs" without accessing the menus or to use some software hack to hard reset it thru Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, I'll be glad to know. If that's for any usage, I have Total Commander installed on this phone and I know how to edit the registry, but I can't start it.
Sorry for my bad english, I'm from Brazil
Thanks in advance and I'm really counting on you guys.
I'll be awaiting for an answer.
P.S.: I've been thinking - I don't know - about installing SPB Shell with some Auto Installer by the Mobile Device Center (over bluetooth) and let it start automatically, and by there, uninstall the culprit. Fiddling around, I've learnt how to trick the Mobile Device Center to make it install any CAB automatically, as if I've ran an auto-installer. My question is: would SPB Shell start automatically?
P.P.S.: Everything is working if I find another way to start it. Just the "start menu" died.
P.P.P.S.: No, I can't buy another phone. It's expensive here.
You can try MyMobiler, a PPC controller running on PC.
OR Try to remove it in Mobile Device Center if you can connect to it.
I don't have Mobile Device Center, using ActiveSync in win Xp but I believe you can remove on your Pc the partnership with your phone so next connection will start a new partnership where you can change the settings which prevent you from connecting Usb normally. Once you are connected, copy the file attached to your device, then take blackppc's advice, install MyMobiler http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=499344 and navigate to the file, execute and it will open settings where you'll find remove function.
I hope it helps
That's the problem, I can't connect it through USB to Mobile Device Center because I've set it to autostart as "pendrive" and not ask me about if I want it to start like this or in Mobile Device Center compatibility..
I'll buy a Bluetooth dongle in 5 minutes by now and I'll tell ya what happened
--
I.. er.. bought the dongle, but I cannot configure it. It cannot find any of my devices or enter the dongle's configuration area. It works well enough, though, on the store computer. I've tested thru 2 Windows 7 Computers and it gave me the same error.. gosh
As I said, I don't have Mobile Device Center but there must be a way to delete partnership with your device... Try this link http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc722321(WS.10).aspx or google these keywords "delete partnership Mobile Device Center" and see how.
Alright, I've managed to get the bluetooth dongle working (a Bluetooth service was disabled). Now I need to connect the phone to the Mobile Device Center. Problem is that I had connected it to MDC, but I had hard-reseted then, and seems like MDC finds the phone as a "new device", thus cannot connect over bluetooth. Can I force it to connect or something? I'm thinking that may be my only shot.
P.S.: I can access a sort of device explorer (when I put the USB cable in and out, it pops up a message asking if I want to see the Memory Card images, and then it opens a image viewer. I can delete folders from there, if that's of any use)

"On the mobile device:
If you have never attached your device to the computer using a USB cable, do so. After Windows Mobile Device Center starts, disconnect the device.
In ActiveSync, click or tap Menu, then click or tap Connect via Bluetooth."
I cant reach it
I've got an GREAT idea: I can, still, acess the image viewer. From there, I can copy and move folders around. So, all that I have to do is to create a folder in my memory card called "Start", with one shortcut inside, leading to the "Add/Remove programs" or "Hard Reset" program and copy it to the Windows folder. Then I restart the phone and it'll fire up the selected app. JOB DONE.
I only need to know the name of the app/parameters for Add/Remove programs or Hard Reset. Basing on what Windows is, it might be some "xxxx.cpl -command".
I leave this job for you guys, now I feel that I can still save my phone!!
I'll try link it to Total Commander first, before anything
P.S.: I've found the following string to invoke the "Add/Remove programs" for Windows Mobile 6.1
"#ctlpnl.exe cplmain.cpl,23?\Windows\shell.dll,13"
Would it work for windows 6.5?
P.P.S.: Meh, I cant create fake shortcuts that leads to nowhere on the local computer. How can I do it?
What a relief, God truly knows. My method worked. I can invoke anything from the phone using a shortcut. I've used the following line for the shortcut:
"33#ctlpnl.exe cplmain.cpl,10"
It invoked the "Add/Remove programs"
Thanks for the help, I really felt you guys tried to help me
I never seen a case like mine, but who knows.
Here's what I did:
- Connected the USB Cable into the phone, and it started as a pendrive
- Created a folder inside the phone called "Start"
- Created a folder called DCIM and added some images in there
- Created a .lnk file using XXMKLINK (which makes links from anything I type)
- Copied the .lnk file to the "Start" folder
- Unplugged the USB. At this moment, a popup appeared on the screen "Do you want to view the images?" Press yes.
*If the above method doesn't work, you can try going into a SMS message, then click for "Insert a Picture". The same browser will open
- Go to the root of the SD Card, or anywhere the "Start" folder you've created is
- Press and hold it, select Copy
- Click on the left side button and select "Device"
- Go to Windows folder. It takes a while to open
- Copy your "Start" folder inside. Press Yes on any prompt
- Restart the phone.
Voilá! The app will be run on the next startup
I really hope to help someone with this trick, who knows more than it helped me.
The topic can be closed at any time.
Great news
So i have searched the forum, and i saw that to hack the HD2 with WM7 on it your must install XAP, Chevron, zune bla bla bla. But i don't undersand it...
For the first step i read the Chevron topic : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=857127
And performed the following steps :
1. Unzip file, and attach chevronwp7.cer (see below for file) to an e-mail to yourself
2. Open email in WP7
3. Tap attachment once, turns it into a shield, tap it again, goes to install certificate screen with white letters on black screen
4. Click install at the bottom
Now the rest steps the registry i cant find this folder "ProxyPorts" and even if i create it, the 6,7,8 steps don't work, the .exe said that the phone is not connected, and so like zune, no device detected.
What to do ? I want to sync my PC , i have 2 OS, XP SP3 and Win7 (notebook) . On wich of them to sync my phone, what are the correct steps ?
I want to upload movies, music , custom ringtones in my phone, and to upload from my HD2 my photos and videos into PC.
Please...
Tired of searching the google, the xda forum and other topics, that give abstract tips and advices...
have you installed the wp developer tools? that is suppose to edit your registry for you.
No, can you "light" me up with all the correct steps ? Please
you will have to use the win7 comp.
here is the link to the site for the tools...http://create.msdn.com/en-US/
check out this thread as it shows everything ya need to knw
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=916497
I must install these : http://create.msdn.com/en-us/home/getting_started
and that's it ?
yes to be able to use the un-locker and to be able to deploy xaps...but not to use zune
god, again im confused. Usualy i understand everything, and no problems with ios, with androids , wm < 7.
I put those tools, then what unlocker and what xap ? Links maybe or something -_- thanks
well first start by installing the tools before try to do anything else.
then the unlocker allows you to unlock your device install apps, and the apps are a .xap file
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=916497
There are 3 links :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QolhT5LXgGo
In this video i show you how to jailbreak and sideload apps to your windows phone 7 device.
ZUNE SOFTWARE
http://www.mediafire.com/?pesqg3asdoghea3
WP7 Unlock Tools
http://www.mediafire.com/?r3cx4mfeecuieo0
Only the first ? Or all of them?
that just shows you how to do it, but have you installed the tools yet?
They are now installing on my notebook with win 7 (10 of 13) of them installed, waiting
After that i make the unlock like in the first youtube link ? or what?
yes thats correct
Oh, i installed annd WP7 unlock tools, then i connect my phone with the notebook thru usb, runnning ChevronWP7.exe, and the pc says : Sory im having trouble comm with the phone Please make sure its con with usb - please start the zune application.
What should i do ?
you have to have zune running and have you phone named and account must be main and not guest account
So, i have registered now an account on zune, and now installing zune.
What do you mean by i need to have my phone named?
ok, now i synced it, named, executed ChevronWP7.
Lets see
Ok, so i executed Tom XAP installer, and appears an error :
Unhandled exception has occured blablabla
Acces to the registry key HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.xap" is denied
DETAILS \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ CONTINUE \\\\\\\\\\\ QUIT,
pressed continue, and then appeared a box, with a checkbox , after that i pressed X to close the window, follow in the WP7 3MktPlace folder > Downloads > and the files with .xap are not associated what should i do ?
FIXED, I opened the .xap files with the TOM XAP insaller, and then insalled them. All works well. Thank you , jasontac
Is there something i should do ? or its all about it ? now just uploading the phone with all the files i need ?
and btw how i upload for example a video file from the phone in my pc?
it is in the setting in zune, but should do it when you connect to it
[FONT="]If I mention anything about how to quickly side load your Live Activation Code using an .xap in the forums I am often asked to explain it. So this is clarifying how to quickly load your Activation code using an .xap created using xboxmod’s WP7 Registry tweak and the AdvancedConfig_1.1.0.1_beta (included in the [/FONT][FONT="]attached [/FONT][FONT="]Rgu-2-xml.rar) (ALL acknowledgment and thanks to xboxmod and the contributors to that forum).[/FONT]
Although there a number of steps shown, it is actually a quick and easy process.
[FONT="]Note, this is not about getting your Activation code - you must already have your Activation code!!! There is considerable discussion in the forums about obtaining an activation code if you do not already have one. It is about applying it easily after each Hard Reset or Rom install. (see footnote)[/FONT]
[FONT="]So here's how to set the Activation code by installing an XAP rather than entering all those characters manually. It is much easier and worth the few minutes to setup. Simply make this the first App you install before you log into Windows Live using your email address etc. or the Marketplace - it does not ask you for you Activation code after this is run as it is already in the registry.[/FONT]
Ensure that you have Connection Setup installed
[FONT="]1. Create a txt document (e.g. WP_Activation_Code.txt) exactly (ensure you have REGEDIT4 as the first line)[/FONT] as follows
Code:
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\GwpCPC]
"ActivationCode"="*****-*****-*****-*****-*****"
[FONT="]WHERE: *****-*****-*****-*****-*****" is your Activation Code[/FONT]
[FONT="]Take care with the code ActivationCode"="*****-*****-*****-*****-*****" The "-" are not underscore "_", though they look like it, but dashes "-" (hyphens). I got caught with this at my first attempt.[/FONT]
[FONT="]2. Rename this text file from .txt to .reg (e.g. WP_Activation_Code.reg)[/FONT]
[FONT="](suggestion: make a copy of the file and rename the copy)[/FONT]
[FONT="]3. Run xboxmod's Rgu-2-xml.exe (from attached .rar) to translate this text file to a provxml[/FONT]
[FONT="]4. Rename this file (e.g. mxipupdate_WP_Activation_Code.provxml) to simply CustClear.provxml[/FONT]
[FONT="]5. Extract AdvancedConfig 1.1.0.1 beta.xap (from attached .rar - I added this and the org. instructions to this .rar).[/FONT]
[FONT="]6. Rename it to HTC-ProvXml-WP_Activation_Code.xap[/FONT]
[FONT="]7. Open it with 7-Zip or WinRAR (right click on HTC-ProvXml-WP_Activation_Code.xap and select open).[/FONT]
[FONT="]8. Copy custclear.provxml into HTC-ProvXml-WP_Activation_Code.xap and replace the existing custclear.provxml with custclear.provxml file you just created.[/FONT]
[FONT="]9. Install (sideload) the HTC-ProvXml-WP_Activation_Code.xap to your device - it will load as HTC-ProvXml-Deploy. [/FONT][FONT="]Install it [/FONT] like any other app - use an xap deployer.
[FONT="]
(you can use this file each time you hard reset or load a new rom. Suggestion make it the first xap you install after initial Zune connection before you register for Marketplace or Live).[/FONT]
[FONT="]10. Launch HTC-ProvXml-Deploy on your device.[/FONT]
[FONT="]11. Press the green button to apply your settings.[/FONT]
[FONT="]12. Uninstall HTC-ProvXml-Deploy then reboot to be sure. [/FONT]
[FONT="]13. Now login to Marketplace or Live without entering the code manually :good:[/FONT]
[FONT="]Works a treat and skips the Live Code step. You can then use it more than once - each time you load a rom or hard reset for example.[/FONT]

This s a nice idea - saves time when installing Roms.

Yes, true - you need to have Connection Setup installed as it relies on this to change the settings in registry - this enters the Live Activation Code in device registry
Although there a number of steps shown, it is actually a quick and easy process.
The xap can then be reused many times

Nice tutorial,
But I think you could save time with using my reg backup app and apply the .reg file with that

I have check your idea, but one would need to load your code in the first place, so this still has a place. Once you set it app you just run it as the first app.
So I'm waiting at this stage
Hi
I did all of this and everything that was in the description but it did NOT work.
The problem was that when I deployed the XAP file the Advanced Config Tool was updated and it never started.
I didn't get a new app installed on my phone since the XAP that I had to modify was the Advanced Config Tool.
So, what did I miss?
Thanks in advance.

Not sure why it did not work.
What is the connection with Advanced Config Tool?
Is Connection Setup installed? What Rom are you using?
Hi All,
This is my first guide on XDA and this might not be the right topic but it's related. (This is for Advanced users)
I want to start this thread to show how you can use Microsoft's Free Hyper-V Server for more than just "Hyper-V".
I have done tests with Hardware and VMWare Player (V5) with both Hyper-V 2008 R2 & Hyper-V 2012.
System Requirements;
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyper-V#System_requirements_and_specifications
And more specifically;
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyper-V#Microsoft_Hyper-V_Server
Download a Free copy of Hyper V Server; (It’s free, so no Install key required!)
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/server-cloud/hyper-v-server/default.aspx (You might need to register)
I have successfully used VMWare Player 5, Version 4 works for Hyper-V 2008 R2 but not 2012.
If you are trying this on hardware directly, you’ll also need to download your system’s drivers (at a minimum the Network Card) and a web browser
. i.e. Chrome downloader from: https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/browser/ (Tested to work correctly in Hyper-V Environment) Save these to a USB stick.
Anything else can be downloaded once Hyper-V Server is up and running.
Follow the Hyper-V installation as usual (all defaults)
As a guide; Select Custom Installation, you'll need more than 10GB hard drive size after we add extras, so pick 20GB as a minimum. wait for the re-boot
At this point you'll be asked to set a password and you'll get a command prompt for a user interface.
That's right, Desktop, control panel, Start menu, Metro, Task Bar, System Tray, Internet Explorer are all User interface elements that are removed from this copy of windows.
This is where this [GUIDE] starts to provide non-standard information;
Let's start by Installing your Drivers. (I'm assuming you know how to use the command prompt to change drive letter of your USB drive and launch the driver installer program.)
OR in VMWare case, on the menu select Install VMWare tools. This will not launch automatically, hence you'll need to use the command prompt to change to your CD/DVD Drive and launch the "Setup.exe" for VMware tools.
Now start the installation for Chrome, similar to above.
Now Chrome is running, Close the prompt to select default browser (it's your only browser...)
Sometimes I have found Chrome to crash with a dinput8.dll error (no all websites), Chrome works with this prompt up, but it's nicer to avoid it prompting.
http://www.driverskit.com/dll/dinput8.dll/585.html * We'll get back to this later...
You'll need to be uncompressed the above file, so lets download 7Zip also
http://www.7-zip.org/download.html
Now we need a file manager, since there is no Windows Explorer (or now called explorer) Explorer2 (x2) fits the bill nicely.
http://www.zabkat.com/x2lite.htm * Free Light Version (There are issues with not displaying some files, That because it’s a 32bit application that is not 100% compatible with a 64bit environment), The Pro Version is US$29.95 and is available in 64bit. When you install this, select the option to replace Explorer (note: there is no explorer, so this option allows explorer2 to handle some calls to explorer)
Now download a Start menu, Taskbar “desktop” replacement http://www.emergedesktop.org/* Free and customizable.
- Lets customize the Emerge desktop,
- If not started run “C:\Program Files\Emerge Desktop\emergeCore.exe”
- Lets start by removing menu Items that are broken due to not having a full copy of windows.
-- Settings, Configure Core, Click on emergeLauncher.exe, the press the Cog.
--- Delete “Homepage”
--- Delete “Executable %AppletDIR%\documentation\...”
--- Delete “ Tutorial”
--- Add Type “Live Folder”, Folder “C:\Users\Public\Desktop” (Click Save)
-- Settings, Configure Core, Click on emergeTasks.exe, the press the Cog.
--- Change Icon Size to 16x16 (Click OK)
- Start menu (or right click any where on the desktop) select Desktop Display, right click, Delete.
Now any new program that puts a shortcut in this folder “C:\Users\Public\Desktop” will appear on the launch Task Bar.
For some "Control Panel" replacement options download a GUI for managing some windows features (These projects help to speed up initial configuration;
http://corefig.codeplex.com/ Corefig for Windows Server 2012 Core and Hyper-V Server 2012
https://coreconfig.codeplex.com/ for Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 Core edition
This together with Sconfig can do quite a bit of windows configurations without resorting to the command line.
Ok the dinput8.dll.zip you downloaded earlier, you can un-compress this and put the dll (not the zip) in to the C:\windows\system32 folder.
If you want to make re-starting faster and don't plan on using Hyper-V, lets remove it. (coreconfig I think has this option but the following will always work) In a command prompt window type the following;
start /w ocsetup microsoft-hyper-v /uninstall
(Windows will need to restart a couple of times to do this)
(Optional) Enable a network share (You can use this like a Network file Server now, I don't know if there is a limitation to the number of connections like in desktop versions of windows)
net share /Grant:Administrator,FULL system=c:\
Remote Desktop Concurrent Users limit: 2 (one console, one remote OR two remote) (1 UP on a windows workstation copy)
Enable with from the Sconfig utility..
If you want to run SQL Server (Tested with 2008 R2) you'll need DotNet3.5
In a command prompt window type the following;
DISM /Online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:NetFx3 /All
I did this as a test a while ago and I think that is all I needed to do and it worked. (I have gotten it to work, so it would be interesting on how much it can be pushed on this platform)
Need Java? Download Java http://java.com/en/download/
Need to use Office Documents?; http://www.libreoffice.org/download
Need FTP Server?; https://filezilla-project.org/download.php?type=server
Need Web Server?; http://mirror.mel.bkb.net.au/pub/apache//httpd/binaries/win32/
Need QEMU support? http://qemu.weilnetz.de/w64/
I used the built in Windows Updates (option 6 on the Sconfig utility) but I also prefer to use: WSUS Offline http://wsusoffline.net/
WSUS will also quickly get you copies of Silver light & C++ run times (or you can find the URL's manually), I find it's best to use both, WSUS Offline for quick offline copies and windows updates for the latest Microsoft has to offer... (I did not say latest & greatest...)
Work in Progress (probably not going to happen without 3rd party work).
Need Sound? (Don’t know of a solution yet…) I saw someone working on this with Server 2012 Core but I did not find the solution or if it would work with hyper-V copy.
Need Direct X? (Don’t know of a solution yet…) I've tried downloading -redist copies, etc but Direct X has been integrated into windows for years and this is the copy it's removed from.
I'd also want to get VMWare Player working or similar for the USB Pass through feature and 3D client support but I'd probably have to use an alternative. (I heard of a USB Driver for windows to share over Ethernet to another copy of windows)
Okay, this is all I have got for now, your thoughts?
