i have a question to the different Memory Locations on the Artemis...
There is
- Storage Memory
- Program Memory
- Storage Card Memory...
What is the difference??
If i choose to install a app on the Device (not on the memory card), will this eat space on the "Program Memory"??
Which Memory Part has effects on the speed of the device??
Does installing Programs to the device directly effect the speed of the device??
Storage Memory is the space available on the phone's internal storage to store applications and data.
Program Memory is the RAM available to run additional programs.
Storae Card Memory is the amount of total space/free space on your MicroSD card.
hi everyone. i ran sktools benchmark today and the results confused me because my tp2 was slower than some older devices in comparison list. is it the same with your devices or is there something wrong with mine?
ram access: 631
draw bitmaps: 812
main storage write: 2665
main storage read: 7402
also
storage card write: 421
storage card read: 7456
what's yours?

i ran the benchmark a few more times to be sure and the results were approximately the same.
the most surprising results for me were main storage read and write. i expected to have darky207's results too by looking at the list.
by the way my device is hk version with official wm6.5 wwe rom, sd tune up and NeoS2007 Driverpack 3 installed
File system cache: 8MB
File system filter cache: 8MB
GDI / font cache: 32KB
what can be the difference for main storage results?
i only have this results by using the rom from udk. on other roms like nrg or something the storage read and write speed is the same as 2.7mb and 9mb, but by using udk´s rom i have 14mb and 19mb...
is this a bug or a feature
darky207,
Please try copy some file (10 or 20+ MB) from SD card to main memory.
Write your result in sec. / file size / name of application (resco explore, total commander ...)
I will test same file size and we will see that your's benchmark results is real or fake.
I tried searching the cm9 thread but i couldnt find anyone with my exact problem.
When I check the storage space available in the settings, the total space / available space does not add up.
Here is what I see:
Internal storage
total space: 1.97 GB
Apps: 542 MB
Available: 1.37 GB (fine)
Internal storage
total space: 11.50 GB
APPS: 1.21 GB
Pictures, Videos: 332MB
Audio: 1.52 GB
Downloads: 97.62 GB
Available: 31.88 MB
According to my calculations there is ~8.40612 GB missing here.
SD Card
total space: 29.71 GB
available: 20.64 GB
Is it calculating the space used on my SD Card against Internal storage and then not even breaking down the space used under the SD Card?
I am so baffled right now...
Hi
I have a Samsung Galaxy S I9000 running CM9. I just recently filled up my storage of 5,77 GB. I googled the missing storage space problem and found this post. Now I found out where the missing space is. It seems like the system settings within Android do not account for the space used by ClockworkMod. Therefore, in my case, my backups of the device were using all these extra gigabytes.
"Insufficient storage" error, while moving apps in Android Marshmallow 6.0 Version.
Hi,
I have a Micromax Canvas Android ONE mobile phone with a 4 GB internal storage memory and 16 GB SD card external memory.
Out of 4 GB internal memory, 1.77 GB is occupied with system files, 1.86 GB is occupied with non system apps, 0.35 GB is occupied with apps related data and only 0.02 GB is free.
I have latest Android Marshmallow operating system updated on my phone, as I am typing this text.
There are following applications installed in my handset (from Google play store), which have an option to move them from internal storage memory to external SD card memory and vice versa.
1) Amazon Kindle (166 MB)
2) LinkedIn (78.22 MB)
3) Facebook (16.96 MB) moved
4) OlaCabs (3.40 MB) moved
5) I can't wake up (0.98 MB)
Out of above 5 apps, when I tried to move all of 5 apps, only app number 3 & 4 got transferred (or moved) to the external SD card memory space. i.e. for Facebook and OlaCabs, moving from internal to external memory card was successful.
However for rest of apps (Amazon Kindle, LinkedIn and I can't wake up), I get an error stating that there is not enough of memory space in external memory card.
However, as I can see out of total memory of 16 GB in external SD memory card, 1.17 GB is consumed by system files, 5.51 GB is consumed by existing data and apps and 9.32 GB is free space available to consume.
May I know what exactly must have been happening over here and why?
What is the possible solution to resolve this issue?
Hi! Any one else having memory issues after the update, my S21FE memory collapses, seems like the software can no tell between the internal storage and the ram memory. The internal storage reads 8 gb and you read -1 GB available. You have to restart the phone so it reads the memory well after restart more than 200 gb available on the internal memory. Took a screenshot when it was messed up but the phone didn't save it because thought has no memory...
