telephone service - no service

dear All
I have just changed my dopod 900 to qtek rom. I can not connect to CSL or peoples network (it says no servie). CAn anyone help me please? I am exhausted with reading so many threads already (3 days)

HI,I just try to add some programmes.
and suffer the same problem as you
what I am going to do is ,take out the battery
And leave it there 24hrs, and switch on again.
It will load the original Rom, and everything will be fine

I can not solve that problem. Recently, I have found a new Chinese Traditional Rom (latest). I have flashed that back to chinese. I have found that much better than Qtek. Speed is faster and even more stable.

I had the same problem I changed from Imate JJ to Qtek and radio 1.04.02.
One way around that is to manually select the networks and gprs settings under Connections / Advanced.

lol, just use the wireless manager, disable and enable your phone again, and everything is ok again.

PROBLEM WITH HARD RESET ON 02 XDAII

Hi guys i need some help. i have just got this xda ii from india from my brother. i m in the caribbean right now . everytime i take out the battery to change to another sim my xdaii automatically hard resets itself. and beleive me it's a pain in the ass to redo everything again. so could u tell me what can i do to prevent this problem. the rom version my xdaii has 1.03.00 usa. if that's any help. thanks everyone in advance who can help me solve this problem. my e-mail is [email protected]

I'm not sure, but this tip may solve your problem:
To take out the battery you need to slide down the small swith (red one if I'm not wrong). Just make sure that switch remain in its state when you change your SIM card. Then slide it up again when the battery has been placed in its position.

signal problem PDA2k

i have imate pda2k and have been switching between wm 2003, 5 n 6 a lot...
My device gives very weak signals....it comes n just go after some moments...i dont know what the problem is......i have tried to upgrade radio to 1.15 but no success..
i am in canada and is there any way of limiting the frequency to only 1900Mhz? and those signal booster stickers will help or not?
i know a lot of ppl have this problem but there is no solution so far.......any help will be appreciated

thnx for that link....ive actually tried that before but it didnot give me any remarkable results..as in i wasnt able to distinguish the difference....n secondly it only works on wm2003..

It's the only solution i know and it worked for me.

O2 XDA ORBIT network problem

hi ,
i have a O2 xda orbit in it network is showing properly but when we r trying to make call its shows ``CALL END`` and when make call on it from another then its shown ``NOT REACHABLE`` any one have solve this problem... plz. suggest.

Help for my Defy

Hello,
I am crossed(spent) for some weeks on Cyanogen at the level of my Defy.
However, I have a real problem, from time to time I have for network cuts, I explain: the bar(helm) of network belongs to the max, however the persons call me and fall on the answering machine, I do not receive SMS / mms and those whom I send remain in her(it) limp with sending.
To remedy it, it is necessary either I restart, or I toggle in mode(fashion) plane then what I iron in normal mode.
I specify that I have one x10 mini under Cyanogen who has no this problem, I am on the same operator and there are no concerns(marigolds). The problem cannot thus result from the operator but well telephone.
Can you help me svp? Because to continue, I would regrettably be to oblige to kidnap Cyanogen what would disturb me.

Have you set the appropriate radio firmware, with the baseband switcher app?
It should be installed by default, just pick the correct radio for your country..

If you do some searching, i'm sure you can find out what band frequencies your carrier is using... For instance, 850mhz, 2100mhz...
Maybe directly by calling support, or try using google.com.
When/if you find out what freq, you can go through and test which similar radios from the switcher app will work for you..
Your best starting place is to start testing each radio, and write down which ones work for you, and which ones don't..
