Hi There,
Do you guys using the original headset or dump this away and use another better one?

Problem is, where are you going to find a stereo headset with mic with the same connector as your device?
Don't chuck it.

Sony Stereo Mic for Video Recording etc.

I wanted to share my purchase with you, Sony ECM-DS70P for £2.70 from ebay. I'm sure some people will appreciate this, because the sound on video recordings is...I'll just say not that good.
the Mic is obviously a fake Sony but still much better.
a couple reviews from youtube(there are plenty more):

Edit: apparently u need to be on 2.3.5 or above to get ur ext. Mic to work
Hi,
But it worked on the SG2?!?!?!
How? The 3,5mm jack isn´t just for output?

No, think about what happens when you talk from handsfree
try recording video with your handsfree that the phone came with and you will see the difference

Right, the handsfree. Forgot that
Nice finding!
I think this Adaptor from Ebay must work - it is for Iphone, but the 3.5 audio connector is compatible with the SGS2
Alternet you can look on this pages: http://www.kvconnection.com/iPhone-Adapter-Cables-s/8404.htm or https://www.kvconnection.com/Articles.asp?ID=165

A100 Audio/Sound Stereo Problem

Hi Everyone,
I recently purchased iconia a100 for the following purpose:
1. To be the GPS in my car
2. SHow me over ODB interface (ELM 327 BT) all that i want about my car.
3. To be my car entertainment (Audio / Video )
In terms of first 2 : everything is great and works great (gps signal was real sh*t until i flashed flex rom).
The 3rd point is also great with one exception:
When connected to car amp (via car radio) or (for the testing purposes) any other expernal speakers or headphones the sound is only good on one channel.
The other channel is VEEERRRYYYY low. almost no sound there.
I actually bought Acer dock station thinking that this might fix the issue but.. no....
Its the same thing even via the dock station same channel is very low.
Anyone has similar problem ? anyone heard of a similar problem ?
(from what i can tell when the sound comes out of the internal speaker both channels work just fine.... yeah just checked with stereo test and its all good when on internal speakers)
What do you mean by channel?

He means left and right channels. I was going to say a hardware issue with the jack but the dock also shows the issue, and it does it with anything else? Headphones different cables etc?

and yes again, tried it with docking station and without and with both tried with my logitech speakers headphones and othe rheadphones
i listened for a bit more and realized that the sound comes form both channels one (left) lower then the other and on top of that its mono.
I've taken the tablet apart : back cover the battery and the volume controls pcb with the headphone port the latter wat disconnected during the test to make sure that the port is not affectin the sound (factory diffect during soldering and there is an semi shortcircuit between the channels) and it did not make any difference.
One other thing that it could be a something wrong on the board (soldering mistake ? ) right after separation for internal speakers and headphones/doc.
if it cant be fixed easily i think ill just simply remove the speakers and use that output (i dont really need the speakers when its in my car )
Mine works perfect in my car .
Are you sure its not a setting in your music player ? Sure its plugged in fully ?
Is your jack dirty or clogged ?
Is Dolby on ?
How are you connecting it to your deck ?

HTC X+ headphone pinout

Hi all,
Could anyone confirm 100% that this is the correct pinout for the HTC One X+?
Tip: Left signal
Ring 1: Right signal
Ring 2: Ground
Sleeve: Microphone
Thanks!
P.S. If anyone knows the impedance and other technical details of the microphone input it would also be appreciated.
Anyone?

No idea I'm afraid but if your trying to get a good line in/out then an otg cable and a usb sound card might be worth trying. Btw this is the one x forum and not the one x+. Imagine for this they are likely the same though.

I have never in my life encountered ANY variation whatsoever in a STANDARD 3.5mm headphone jack or port...
It is an industry-standard connector.
Only on custom sound equipment have I ever come across this.
A pair of headphones you will use on a mobile phone have the industry-standard jack that goes in the industry-standard port. They are ALL the same.
As for impedance, I have no idea, but who cares? What are you planning on driving with it? You do know that the audio hardware in the HOX and HOX+ is crap...

Actually, the standard 3.5mm jack is 3 pole, Left, Right + Earth, so this isn't standard anyway.
I've made up a lead and can confirm the above is correct...

No the port isn't standard because it has to have inputs for inline remote and other stuff...but everything IN the port IS in the standard place so if your headphones don't have any other functions it's a bog-standard connection.
That was my understanding. Apologies if I am wrong, but nothing else would make any sense.

[Q] [almost Q] Stereo speaker mod [almost Request]

Yeah, it is correct. I'd like to know if there is a possibility to add anothe or a whole two speakers to nexus 5 for stereo music :cyclops:. Yeah, it IS possible, but would it be fairly easy to do? Is there enough room to put there another speaker? Or maybe I would need to remove microphone, put it somewhere else, then rewire headphone jack wire to the additional speaker and the phone would think that I am using my headphones all the time..? Would I need a custom circuit to reroute headphone jack and still use it (amplifiers etc)? Would anybody risk their phones to get a decent stereo on their device? I don't have N5 yet, but I am planning to get it in few weeks (1 to 3 weeks). What is your opinion on this? Are there any experts in DIY electronics to help me (and probably other users) with this? Yeah, a lot of questions, but maybe someone is competent to answer these? I would be really happy Thanks
EDIT: Is this right section?

Wrong section. But good luck.
I don't think there's enough space, you don't have a stereo amplifier for the speakers and I think you'd be better off with a phone that was designed from the beginning with stereo speakers.
Also, having stereo speakers right beside each other kind of defeats the purpose. The OPO does this and there is little to no discernible separation between both the speakers on the bottom.
