SPV M2000 Qtek 9090 Blueangel completely blocked... - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

Hi guys,
I think i've been ****ed by ebay. I just bought a SPV M2000 which i unlocked thanks to you guys.
But when i tried to connect it to my network..it didn't work. My guess is my IMEI has been blocked...and i spent almost 450 euros t get it..
Is there any ways to change my IMEI on it...or to change completely the ROM.
Can you help me? Any clues about that...?
Thx

Right, well, changing the IMEI is not possible and is highly illegal.
What you could do is to contact the seller, and if he refuses to do anything, reclaim the money through paypal (assuming that you used paypal). If the IMEI is blocked, then the phone is likely to be stollen.
The other option is to contact orange, who may be kind enough to take the device from you and replace it (being kind can bring its own rewards).

So far, there is no way of unlocking it, other than paying £50 ($88 ) and sending it to IMEI Check
I believe that some people are currently working on an unlocker here, but so far, it would seem they have been unsucessful.
I ask orange for my m5000 unlock code, they have post the code to me after 1 week, the cost is £20 charge to my company phone bill.

unlocking QTEK9000 or SPV M5000 ???

hi
I've got a qtek 9000 (or SPV M5000) SFR France and i would like to unlock it but i don't know what is the soft to use ???
i search on your forum but my English is to bad for understand all that you say and you've got a lot of soft
so if you can tell me the soft to use and how to use it
thanks for all
and sorry for my English
If you mean to unlock it to use on any network you choose, there is no software to do this. If you want to unlock the rom, that is a different story. What do you want to do?
i want to unlock it to use on any network
At this time, that is not possible. But I ask, why did you buy a locked phone? There are many posts on this website concerning unlocking. If you wanted an unlocked phone, why did you buy this one to begin with? Perhaps it was cheap, and now you are stuck with it unless you bought it legally and can get the unlock code from your subscirber. I paid the price and my phone was not locked to begin with.
i don't buy the it is a "renew" by my provider with my points
so i buy a code on a web site
thanks for your help
good luck on finding a code on a website. It won't happen.

Are you sure it is a QTEK 9000? They arent supposed to be locked to any operator?
What's going on here?

I have a Qtek 9000 locked to Vodafone UK and I would appreciate all help I can get to unlock it.. Here is some data of my phone.
ROM version: 1.13.62 WWE
ROM date: 09/29/05
Radio version: 1.04.10
Protocol version: 43.37P8
ExtROM version: 1.13.189 WWE
If it is locked to Vodafone, then it should be the V1640 not a Qtek 9000.
Have you tried asking VodafoneUK for the Network Unlock Code (NUC) ?

It is a Qteq 9000 I have all papaers and the original box. And I have tried to get an unlock code but all they say when I sent my IMEI number was that I have to wait for 12 Months to get the unlock code.
Since I bought the phone on Ebay I have problems to get any help. Even though the advertisement said it was Unlocked and when I got it I tried with my phonecard that is Telenor (Norway) then it just want me to type in the simlock code.
I never thought VOdafone would be selling QTEK 9000's
At any rate you have to wait 12 months starting from when? As you bought the phone from Ebay and not directly from Vodafone, how does vodafone know when the 12 month ends?
Also, i heard that it is 12 months if you wanna get the code for free. Can you pay a certain amount to get it now?

I have to apologize to you.. I just got the box and it says vodafone 1640  Have I been swindled since the add said it was a Qtek 9000 and it looks the same?
Yes, you probably have been "swindled". The QTEK 9000 is never locked as it didn't come from a phone operator. So is the Imate Jasjar never locked.
You essentially go a Universal thru Vodafone which is definitely locked by Vodafone.
I believe the V1640 is supposed to be silver, right? The QTEK is all black like the O2 except the keyboard light is red as in the O2 it is blue. The jasjar is 2 tone, black and grey

Yes it is silvere colored, but is it possible to unlock it with some software?
When I put in the Vodafone card that came with the phone all windows program and my navigator works fine, but I want to use my own phone card.
if you put NO sim card, it will work except the phone part.
Now aside from paying for the NUC by asking it from Vodafone, or waitig the 12 months, there are some people you are offering these services BUT, yes, BUT you have to physically send them the phone.
There are people here who are working on a unlock tool for the universal but that may be ready in about 3 months or could take until end of the year.

So you say that if I take contact with Vodafone UK and give them some money, they will send me a code to unlock my phone?
I have been in contact with Vodafone Sweden and they told me that I had to wait for 12 Months, I gave them my IMEI number and the only answer I got was that in 12 Months they could me with a code.
Let me explain a little.
I bought my QTEK 9000 for €900 because it is not locked.
Now VODAFONE locks their device and sells it a lot cheaper (less than 600€) because you can only use the phone on their network so your phone use subsidizes the cost of the phone.
After 1 year, you can ask for the unlock code FREE OF CHARGE.
Now to get the unlock code before the 12 months, you have to PAY because vofafone will not be able to subsidize the discounted price.
Normally just ask them how much to get the unlock code now. I believe it can run from somewhere between 40€ to sometimes even more than 100€ but i am sure you will still be ahead of what i paid for, right?

Well I just paid 365 GBP for my phone.. So it's not that bad if I have to pay some fee to Vodafone. I will take contact with them in the morning.
Thanks for all help.
No problem, happy to help....

Second Hand

Hi,
I've been dreaming about a Jasjar for more than a month, searching all the web for something used at a reasonable price.
Finally I found and bought one on eBay for 398 Euros (shipping included).
Before paying I would like to know if the device will work in Italy with my SIM card "WIND" and if I will be able to set it up for Email etc...
The seller says that he bought it on Expansis.co.uk and it's SIM Free.
I'm not interested in changing the language since english ROM updates are more frequent, but will I be able to register my device in clubimate (is it .com or .co.uk?) for the updates?
I will really appreciate some help from somebody.
Thank you
hmmm
if it is a real jasjar and not a tmobile mda pro (DOUBBLE CHECK) it should work with any provider.
i find it very brave to buy a phone like that voor 400 euros on ebay.. so scary, and you wont know what he is sending you.. could have a broken screen or a stylus which has been stuck the wrong way around in its hole.. or a broken mini usb slot..
If you want to register it at imate you should get the imate details of him (if he has registered the phone there) If it is stolen then you wont have luck on imate.com
Also 400 euros i think is very cheap for a real jasjar.. i placed my qtek9000 on a marketplace and got real offers of 500 euro plus within an hour.
Best thing i can advise is to buy one which you can see before you pay. Or else buy it with gurantee..

Can anyone help me??

Hi
I have an O2 Exec on contract. This has a few problems and my Dad has just given me his QTEK 9000 (same model) but his is on contract with 3. WHat I'm wanting to do is to use his machine but with my sim card in it as his machine is hardly used and in much better condition. When I changed over the sim card, the QTEK is asking me for a unlocking code. Now I'm not wanting to do anything illegal!! I just want to use his machine instead of mine. If I can't then I'll live with mine but how can I go about unlocking it? And why does it need unlocking?
Hope someone can help.
Thanks
David
It says that 'Network is locked'
Does that mean that my O2 network is locked?? I'm confused??
is that an HTC universal?
cos there is this, on the wiki...
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Uni_Simlock_by_Buzz_and_team
Thanks!!
However, the buzz link does not work and I'm guessing I need it for the .exe files. Any other links?
