My O2 XDA IIs was dropped from the tabel and now it hard resets always.
If i pick the XDA up or put it on my desk, bounch the bottem where the hard reset hole is even when i push near the hard reset hole it also hard resets.
What can i do about this and make it?

The problem was the battery. It was not the standard battery, but a high capicity one and that was damaged.

xda iis too hot while charging

has anyone experienced this? whenever i charge my xda iis, it becomes too hot, and i mean hot to handle... i almost dropped my phone when i held it... it takes at least 10 mins for my phone to cool down, considering that i have an airconditioned room... after this, my phone hangs and only a hard reset can fix it (man, i thought it was broken)... i just got my phone fixed -- no more gprs/mms problem and hard reset problem when i remove the battery... those asking how they fixed it, they had to change the board (unfortunately from where i live, you cant have the unit replaced after two weeks of purchase)... i also had pocket hackmaster installed... havent installed this before... now my problem is i dunno if pocket hackmaster can cause this problem... right now, the only way i can charge my phone is through my cradle... no time to bring it to the service center right now coz im out of town... tnx!
i know the problem with my mda III
I got the same problem.
i went to the t-com shop an they chenged my batterie.
the next problem was my backupbattery, it was damaged too.
now i got a new mda III. i wondered why all my settings after
battery drop or battery down were gone...
if your keyboard is getting hot too, you got the same problem.
my choice:
change it.

Grrrr bloody blue angels!!!!

Just wonderng what other peoples experiences are with blue angels, I have an mda 3 model and I have had nothing but problem after problem. I have the buzzing screen which has grown to intollerable level, My internal battery keeps draining for no apparent reason, my power button snapped of the mainboard a couple of weeks after purchase and T-mobile would not fix it,
After having it fixed a few months later my power button now only works when I hold it to turn off the backlight but I cannot turn off the screen by pressing once (A few others have had this problem) it's not a hardware issue I don't think because I had it back to a phone shop that specialises is PDA's and they say noting is mechanically wrong with it. From pressing the power button once it seems to stay in the memory or whatever that I presses it and then when I do a soft reset, It hard resets. My internal battery has now started behaving but I still have this power button prob and the buzzing screen.
Also did they put legs in these styli because I have had each xda model and never lost as man styli as I have with this model!!!!!!
Just wondering if anyone else shares my frustration, I have had tons more probs and will post when I think of them!!
**** presses = pressed
Yep I have tried flasing it with different roms and still no change. Im now back to my trusty old xda 2!! never had a problem with that[/code]
Probably, if is not mechanical, the problem is in WIN OS - upgrade new room, other room, oher room etc.

Lol!
Same here!
But beside that, I don't have any problems with my MDA 3 (knocking on wood :wink...
I was having that prob. then i looked at the side and realised one of the screws holding the ba together had fallen out
Id started thinking it was a software fault, but its definitly not as I have installed countless roms and just put WM5 on. I took it in for repair this morning (as last time they put a dodgy screw back in and I cant find a screwdriver that fits!!) and they are having a look tomorrow! I will tell them about the screw so cheers!!
Which screw is it then? inside the phone?
no its the one at the top, on the side next to where the stylus is held.
you may find its loose and when you tighten it the stylus stops falling out as much.
speaking of those T-6 torx screws... where can they be bought, or found?

try cleaning the headset hole with a little alcohol (the higher grade of concentration, the better ... ). Use a small cleaning stick (like the ones used for cleaning the ears). Of course you will have to remove the battery first and let the alcohol to evaporate after.
I hope this helps. It's the only thing that came into my mind since I suspect it is a hardware issue.
Cheers
In the morning all of the sudden stoped flashing..weird anyway thx for the suggestion

hard lock without battery pull or soft reset hole

remember back in the winmo days with styli where there was a hole you could press the stylus into to soft reset? with no soft reset hole or a removable battery to pull, how does one get past bootloops or a hard lock? id bet that it involves adb, but what about when you're tens of kilometers from the nearest computer with adb or an Internet connection with which to procure it?

Holding the power button for 10 seconds is equivalent to a battery pull.
