All,
Whenever I recieve a phone call I have to press the green answer button twice. The first time I press it nothing happens but when I press it the second time a lot harder the call is answered. Anyone else experienced this?
Their seems to be some delay or is it just me?
Thanks
Msuk

Sometimes when I get a phone call, I answer by pressing the answer hardware button and instead of answering it cancels the call. It's so annoying, is there a workaround?
I haven't had that problem, but I would suggest that if you hope for anyone to help you, you should change the title of your post to something like "Phone hangs up pressing hard answer button".

Ya i get the same problem... Honestly i think it has happened to me when i have been in the middle of doing something like playing a game, writing an email, etc.... and then the calls come through, and cause there arent enough resources the phone crashes and fails to answer.
Happens to me, too, but as mentioned above I don't think it's an issue with the button....usually it's when I'm syncing.
I HATE it, too!!! Activesync sucks up all resources and even though I see the screen pop up with a call (before it even rings), I press answer and it doesn't respond for 5-10 seconds and the call is gone.
That burns me up. I wish there were some dedicated CPU cycles for the phone app in there somewhere.
Does anyone know how to assign a hard key (button) to the speakerphone.
While driving, I would just like to be able to press a button instead of looking at the screen and trying to press the small screen button.

Everybody wanted to get his/her answer at once. Search Search is first part to the answer but no you still stay like this. Do read the manuals sometimes busy guys
Keep pressing Call button for few seconds it will on the speaker and same way can off it.
Does anyone know how to set up the phone so it will answer an incoming call by not only pressing the green phone icon, but also allow me to answer by pressing the center silver button?
A quick search didn't find anything?
There is an "any key" answer option in settings. I don't know if you can narrow it down to a select button of your choice, though.
Ya anykey could probably work, but its still not exactly what i want. If i could have just the center key/green phone key work, that would be perfect.
I dont want to pick up the phone when its ringing and accidentally hit J or C and it answers a call that I dont want to answer.
yea the any key kinda sucks because if you press a key by accident it will automatically pick the phone up lol... i did that a few times to people i didnt want to talk to lol
I don't know if you GSM guys have had this problem, but my CDMA Diamond seems to.
Whenever I receive a call and I press the "Answer" button or hard key, it doesn't seem to connect instantly and allow me to talk. It would stay at the menu and I could continue to press "Answer" with nothing happening. Then after a minute it would finally connect and I can talk, provided the other person hasn't hung up yet.
Anyone know any solutions?
EDIT: Oh snap, just noticed I put this in the wrong section. Could a mod please move this to Diamond? Thanks.
Hey guys,
I'm on stock Desire ROM and have a question:
I don't know if it irks anyone else, but having to press end call on the screen (which can go away, i know it goes to notifications too, but still a little fiddly for my like) annoys me a little. I'd much rather be able to press a button on the desire to end a call quickly rather than fiddling around finding end call.
Is there any way to map a button so that it ends the current call if one is active?
I know you can assign long press of the search key to actions, can you do this with the back button? Could i long press the back button to end calls?
Thanks in advance
Just gotten your desire? 'Cause I found it a bit annoying in the beginning first, plus it was confusing the hell outta me. But I quickly adapted and now I'm used to it.
I've had it for a few months now, but every phone i've had before has had a hardware hangup so i've become quite attached.
