I hope someone can help!
When I last restarted my SX66 I lost a few programs. They are:
Mobile Word
Solitaire
Bubble Breaker
3rd Party Checkers
3rd Party Dominoes
While I can easly reinstall my 3rd Pary Games, I have no idea how to get Word, Bubbles, and Solitaire back.
This did happen once before on a Soft reset about a week ago but they where completely different programs. While this did happen before it seems to be a new issue with my WM5 and SX66. I have ran WM5 since it was released and this "disappearing" programs just started!
[Last lost programs where: Microsoft Voice Command and PHM Registery Editor]
Thanks for any input on the issue or how to get the core WM5 programs back!
Well, nm they are still there but the Short Cuts where gone.
Very odd! But at least they are still there and all I had to do is recreate the Short-Cuts!

Hello I have an o2 xda2 s running Win Mobile 2003 se that is about 1 month old.
I have a problem. If I use the contacts app to dial a phone number, the contacts app locks up and will only work again after a re-boot. This is getting a pain because I dial my contact numbers in this way.
Whilst the contacts app is locked up the rest of the pda and its applications work fine.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

what plugins u have and what SIP method are u using?
Hi you mention SIP what do you mean?
I have no plugins installed, and only a few extra apps. TomTom Navigator, closeall app, uk postcodes for TomTom, Checkpoint. Thats it a basic standard installation with a few extra apps.

Thanks

Guyz,
I have exactly the same problem.
I was using pocketNav..and i realise if i close the contacts using pocketnav (which i have to do everytime), it randomly stops working.
Do not know if pocketNav's the culprit, but it's a great app that closes applications quickly..
Again, a soft reset solves the problem..but this isn't the long term solution we all want, do we? hehe
Hope someone can shed some light on this issue..
Cheers.
Any help on this? I've heard great things!
as far as I've heard, and tested, none of them work. (the two I know of atleast) the program can't grab the message for some reason. they probably changed how it recieves or stores them in WM6, one of the reasons I went back to WM5 for now.
This is when I got it running on WM6, there's a small problem on both WM5 and WM6, same exact problem.
http://gadgetsonthego.net/2007/03/palms-threaded-sms-app-works-on-t.html
the problem with the app is that you can't get back to your inbox without closing the app out first. I have set task manager to a speed dial so I press "2" to close the app then I get back in my inbox and can navigate between inbox, outbox, drafts etc. Otherwise the app works very well. This app was NEVER intended to run on non-touch screen phones, it doe work though.
This is when I got it running on WM5

Hi,
I have been trying many version of WM6. the most recent one is from LVSW. Initially I found everything run smoothly. later on I found out that I will miss any newly received text messages (SMS) if I do not open and read it instantaneously since the device will freeze!
And after soft reset, the newly received text message that I haven't read yet will dissapear totally since it was kept in RAM and not yet stored in the text message inbox. I missed a lot of SMS from my friends.
I found that happens to my previous WM5 and other WM6 as well.
I try to change the radio to 1.27.00.00 but nothing better. Anyone has any idea why it happens?
uninstall SPB, I had the same problem with SPB shell.
No Spb shell but has other Today Spb apps
I did not install spb mobile shell but I do have spb time, weather, diary and also pocket plus
is it really due to spb apps?
Does anyone know how to uninstall this? When i try to do it on the phone or over Activesync I get a warning message that it could not remove all of the program and ultimately the entire program is still installed. It takes up too much room for what it does (and I think there's a battery issue with it as well) Thanks

Try using the Uninstall application of this program: http://www.dinarsoft.com/memmaid/ Once the program is uninstalled, just delete the remaining folders and then run the Quick Clean and that should remove all remnants of the Uninstalled program.
Thanks. It helped to remove mobitv and xmradio which were entirely useless to me and took up a lot of room. However, when I tried to uninstall memmaid it left a few bits behind - there are folders remaining in the program directory... in fact the MobiTv icon still exists in my program directory leading me to beleive that it's just deleting a folder and not removing the program from my reigstry, etc. It's a start though. Thanks again
Re: uninstall
This may be a silly question, but was VC cooked into the rom originally or did you install it yourself? If it was cooked in you will not be able to remove it. (As is true for any cooked in application.)
Best wishes,

Quick question; when using MemMaid, did you use the Quick Clean with all items checked? by default not all are checked.
Dead shortcuts
Dead Registry
Bad uninstall (files)
Bad Uninstall (Registry)
These are just a few items I would make sure are checked..
Thanks for the help guys. It was not part of a cooked rom and after checking the boxes on memmaid and rebooting a few times VC is gone (and 5 megs are free). After uninstalling memmaid (it's 900k - I can't keep that around ) it just left an empty folder called "Handyswitch actions" that I'm just going to manually delete. Thanks for the help. I was this close to deciding between keeping Skyfire and outlook

Sorry, during install of MemMaid you could of unchecked the handyswitcher and whatever extras you didn't need and they wouldn't have installed. Glad to see you has some success though.

You can't install MS VC to storage card and have it work correctly unfortunatly.
I've had same issue whilst installing MSVC to storage card and had tp install it to phone. I also had same problem trying to uninstall it. Luckily I wanted to upgrad my ROM which solved the problem
As I've been using my phone I learned there's a new glitch - if I use autocomplete to fill in text or complete an email address, etc it crashes my phone (I think pasting text does too). This didn't happen a day ago so I think there's a connection to the uninstallation of VC. I've reset it 5 times and it's always the same result. The screen becomes nonresponsive, switching to landscape mode takes about 45 seconds and doesn't solve anything and both the onscreen keyboard (Happy Tapping) and the hard keyboard fail to function. If I wait it out I can get the start menu to drop down and get to the Today screen but navigation is still brutally slow there and the email sits. I Use o2plus and it shows apps are running but doesn't state them (it's pOutlook that is frozen). Any ideas? I wish PPC had 'last good state' like Windows... thanks again
I have VC on my memory card and have no problem... Dont know why you have though.

Hi,
could someone please help me with the following.
I bought an LG GM750 operating WM6.5 Professional. I installed updated SPB shell, Time & Weather and Resco Audio as I had been using these on my WM5. I found that the Resco Audio did not perform properly and removed it. Subsequenty I also noticed that all my incoming messages time were about 13 hours ahead. System time, call times etc are all okay. I have been through the regional set up, 3rd party software etc and everything looks okay. I have already tried to remove all 3rd party softwares and reboot my device to factory set up many times but still have the corrupted time without 3rd party software.
I would appreaciate help in this area
Cheers

Could be server related. Ask if someone who's on the same provider has this same issue.
Hi Roma,
thanks for the reply. No wasn't server related as I verified it texting side by side with someone using the same provider (Vodafone). All outgoing texts were okay. His messages from me were with the correct time stamp but only his messages to me were marked with the 13 hours difference in time on my device.
Cheers
