Upgrades to version 5.20. Supposed to have better compatibiity with WM5.
Hmmm, won't most WM5 users and XDA users be using the Pocket PC version though. I know I am.

Running the O2 XDA IIS with the Imate 1.40 ROM installed WISBAR Advanced V2.0 I like it but when someone calls I get no notification no sound no picture CID etc. the backlight comes on but that is all I soft reset my device and it did work once but then went back to no notifications. I uninstalled WISBAR and all is back to normal.
Anyone else experience this issue or have any suggesitons?
Thank you

If you look at the Wisbar's site, you will find:
Supported Operating Systems
PocketPC 2002
Windows Mobile 2003
Windows Mobile 2003SE
(Please note that this is not yet compatible with PocketPC Phone Devices)
so its not compatible with phone edition versions of WM2003SE.
I faces more problems than yours, until i found a new BETA version for WM2003SE phone editions.
It has many new amazing features, such as phone signal meter, battery meter, skin folders on storage card, ... etc
The BETA version is 2.0.1.29
You can get it from here: http://www.lakeridgesoftware.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1977
Cheeeeeeeeeeeers

Installed the beta so far so good but it has only been about 20 minutes
Thank you for pointing me toward the beta
No problem dude..
I am using this beta version for more than 1 month. Its going alright.. no any further problems till now 8)
Wisbar advance
Do any of you find that the wisbar sometimes stalls for a few seconds and eventually closes?
This is the only pain I had so far. It does happen quite often.
Cheers
fychan
Been running the beta for over 5 hrs now and have not noticed the type of behavior you are describing.
Yes, the .29 beta does shut down on it's own sometimes. It's still in it's beta stage so I can't complain. If i don't aggravate the app, it behaves properly. I can live with it for now. Another problem is that some application will remove itself from the top bar or just close for no reason. I'm hoping the creator will fix it on the final version.
BTW, I read that the version for 2005 will be another complete re-write due to the OS and how it uses the memory.
does anyone have a link that works for the beta version? the supplied link download is not working anymore..
The current version of Wisebar is 2.4.0.1 and their web site advises that it supports the following Operating Systems
PocketPC 2002
Windows Mobile 2003
Windows Mobile 2003SE
PocketPC Phone Devices
I am running this version of wisebar on an XDA IIs but have removed the O2 software which seems to make it more stable. No problems so far.

That's normally true but...when M$ were developing WM5 they tested it on a couple of PDAs including the Blue Angel. While not officially released by M$ - it has leaked out and you can use it at your own risk. One of the developers of WM5 has a blog where all this is explained. See here: http://blogs.msdn.com/windowsmobile/archive/2005/10/19/482683.aspx
WM5 on the Blue Angel is Dog Food. Read the blog and you will understand.
Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a download available for Mobile Office? Some phones seem to come with it, but there is not much info on the MS site...
Regards,
Bela
currently this version of OS doesnt have a compatible MS Office. WM6 or crossbow or whatever the final release is supposed to have it.
docstogo has a trial preview.
Hi all - advice needed!
I've just bought an XDA ORBIT. It runs on Windows Mobile 5 and has TOMTOM 6 installed.
*** DO I RISK UPGRADING TO WINDOWS 6.0 OR NOT? ***
I seems to read mixed messages out there. I've heard TomTom6 runs better on Windows 5?
I also have copilot 6.0 discs which I could use instead. Anyone have a preference between Tomtom6 and Copilot 6 on the xda orbit?
Thanks in advance,
Matt.
The XDA orbit seems to be the same as the HTC Artemis. Look in the Artemis specific forums for more information. WM6 is definitely a worthful upgrade and is completely safe provided you don't do anything stupid (read the intructions).
hi was just wondering iff there is any sat nav software for my xda orbit im using google maps at the moment but trying to see iff theres any better software out there. im running windows 6.0 .

Hi
I run Tomtom Navigator7 on my P3300. With: AndrewW82_WM6.1
Maps of Europe from June 2010.
You can also try:
NAVIGON Mobile Navigator 7
Runs on almost all WM 5.0, WM6.0, WM6.1 and WM6.5 phones.
Best of all you can download it and try it for free for 30 days at navigon.com
(But requires GPRS or WIFI connection every time you start it, until you pay for it.)
Moved this to General.
couldnt find the trial version

if there is no free download for a satnav software..
*download HTCRIE
*download TMOBILE ORIGINAL ROM
now use HTCRIE and open the TMOBILE ORIGINAL ROM, got to EXTENDED ROM and extract the TOMTOM you get 1 free map, pic something other than liverpool (ill upload the liverpool map)
***why dont you flash to a rom that has tomtom cooked into it?
**USPL CMON first though dude!
*if your not sure how to flash a rom, or how to do USPL CMON, message me..
