qtek 1010 with mobinil, problem upgrading

Hello there
i got a qtek 1010 with mobinil (egypt) (locked to the provided i guess :roll: ) ... i tried upgrading it to 2003SE through activsync installer .... but i failled , every time the upgrade slide starts, it simply soft resets and the originial rom (2002) is back ... ? ... i did the same procedure (with the same rom.exe and the same cradle) but on another device (XDA O2) and it worked very smoothely , so i guess the problem is in the qtek hardware itself or it s a sort of security protection from Mobinil .. ???????? :?: :?: :?:
any help would be greatly appreciated

i forgot to mention the error message that appear right after the soft reset occurs :
error 008pen port error
can not open a COM/USB port. please use deevice manager on pc to make sure that the COM/USB port is available and working properly

Need Help for unlocking, repairing my MDA Pro

hi - first of all i have to say that i am a noob on pda, mda unlocking an so on - thats why i am thinking i had done something wrong
the data of my t-mobile austria mda pro:
(R) Radio 1.10.03
(G) Protocol 42.44.P8
(D) ROM 1.30.113 GER
Ext. ROM 1.30.229 GER
Model Nr. PU10
first i tried to unlock my device with lokiwiz03a - i followed the instructions, but i never get an output for the unlocking code.
today i think i made the mistake - i tried buzzdev's universal simunlock v1 and upgraded my radio 1.10.03 with the included 1.16.? one. all went fine, but after restarting my device it is no longer displaying radio and protocol version - it only displays NO GSM and the ROM version 1.30.113 GER. then i tried to put it back and tried to upgrade with the original software from the t-mobile austria homepage (MDA Pro AKU2.0 update) - but after starting i get an error 120 message : Country ID ERROR
what can i do now ?
i hope anybody can help me - P L E A S E

I have an unlocked Universal, O2 Exec, so I had not used the unlock tool by Buzz. There is a sticky thread just above the Universal Upgrade Topics, try that one. Good luck.

which among these is latest or best rom for o2 Exec

All the ROM’s from the Orginal service providers are older versions (AKU 2.X)
Currently all the available ROMS here are Aku 3.X
For the Rom’s that gives you country error you would need to use “MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe” for the upgrade. For my knowledge, most of the available ROM’s here have this folder “Country_ID_Error “ in which you will find the above mentioned file. You simply copy the “nk.nbf” in to this folder and start you upgrade.
In the rom in which you receiving “sddaemon” error just go to windows/startup folder and delete the sddaemon file. For my understanding, this file is for voice commander that is not installed in Ivan’s rom.
I personally like Helmis 3.5 and Ivans AKU 3,5

As a TOTALLY new user this month - I have used an 'official' upgrade 1.30.162 to upgrade my device as I thought this would be 'safest'
(it took two 'heart in the mouth' attempts and I had to use backlight/power/reset to get it loaded)
Should I stick with 1.30.162 until I know what I am doing or is there a better ROM that work with stability ??
My XDA Exec (O2) appears to be sim-unlocked as I can use my 'virgin' (T-Mobile) SIM
How can I confirm locked/unlocked SIM status ?
What would be the TWO most useful pieces of 'free' software for the XDA Exec ?

Does anyone have Rom 1.31.79WWE(for Exec)? My friend said that it is the best Rom for Exec but I can't find it. Please show me the way to download it!!!!!!!!!!!

qtek 9090 upgrading problem

Hi, im newbe so, please be patient.
i've upgraded mi qtek 9090 frow win 2003 se to win mobile 6 but i have some problem
the phone module is not working anymore ( it's no possible to turn phone on)
the pda do not save the gps settings after it discover by blutooh ( every time i turn off the gps reciver and turn on again i have to set again the serial port, the passkey etc ).
i've tryed to upgrade the radio but i'm not able do download file from ftp at the following link because ftp doesn't work:

at the moment my configuration is:
rom vers 5.60.00.wwe
rom date 03/02/05

hi, i've upgraded the blutooth version ( now i have 2 blutooth icons in my connection task ) but i'm not able to upgrade the radio version.
i have used 2 method [ Quick/EasyTYPE II and Second Methord Type I ] but it return an error that says that the upgrade is not compatible with my device.
i'have tryed to search for a shipped rom but i was not able to find one compatible with my pda.

could someone indicate me a correct shipped rom that can i use for the radio upgrade?
