Does any have this cab that you can download from club i-mate that has all the settings for the at&t wireless including the mms? I bought my PDA2k used, so they wont let me register it. If anyone could get it or has it could i possibly get a copy?
PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
are you on att or cingular? did they give you a new sim. Cause i have the cab files to setup all the cingular stuff for the pda2k, otherwise let me know i can give you all the settings
they never gave me a new card i still have just an att card
I got my settings from http://forums.cingular.com/cng/board/message?board.id=siemens&message.id=10244
I guess someone could make a cab, including me... It's just a bunch of registry settings.

Hi,
Your patience is requested as I am new to the PDA scene!
I have been given a XDAiis for which I bought an O2 sim.
I would like to access WAP/gprs and set up email, if possible...
...But, having called O2 have been told I can not do this on pay as you go.
Is there a way around this?
Many thanks in anticipation
Try these CAB's , i know one is the MMS settings , not sure if the other is GPRS but i think it is , its from the extrom folder of helmis wm5 upgrade
Or try a search of this site >

I have installed the new XDA Live Rom on my HTC TyTN. I am on the Cingualr/AT&T network and I have a roaming triangle icon on the top of the screen. I had this same icon on the the original HTC Rom when I received the phone but when I upgraded to the Cingular Roms the roaming icon disappeared. Is there some registry setting or cab file that I need to install to remove this icon?
I would like to know this also...
There is a cab file in one of the cingular's extended rom files that removes the roaming triangle. I can't remember which one though. SInce, this rom does not overwrite your extended rom, maybe you still have the cab in your extended rom. Use total commander to look at your \extended_rom
You could download WinCE cab manager and review each cab in a Cingular extended rom and then apply the right cab file.

I was running the 2.06 Cingular ROM and once I installed WM6 Vanilla I saw the Roaming Triangle.
Its not the radio since that doesn't change with the current WM6 roms available. I also tried running all cabs in the ext_rom but no luck there, also tried rolling back to the cingular ROM and soft reset before customizations could begin and no triangle.
It has to be something in the Registry that is already part of the OS. I hate having to confirm a manual sync because it thinks I'm roaming in WM6, any help from our experts?
Anyone know of a way to export the registry and run a compare?
I am not at home where I can look at the cabs in the cingular roms, but their are a couple registry settings for syncing during roaming etc
\hkcu\software\microsoft\activesync\
SyncWhenRoaming=1
\hklm\comm\tiacxwln1\parms
HTCSeamlessRoamingEnable=1
i will try to find the cab that disables the triangle notifications later
I haven't experienced the roaming triangle on my build of WM6 (which has had very few registry customizations). However, HTCSeamlessRoamingEnable=0 on mine so that's not likely to be it.
What about Current Operator Name under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/System/State/Phone
On my Cingular rom its value is 'Cingular'
(with out the ' ')
Or is this going to change if I was roaming..

The change is definitely in the OS and not one of the cabs. I tried the registry changes you suggested and it had no effect. Any other thoughts?

I have HKLM/SOFTWARE but no System in the registry. Are you sure that is the right path?

Under the Current Operator Name entry mine also says "Cingular" but I still have the roaming icon.
persons on the old AT&T network (like here in Hawaii) will get the roaming icon. However, people who are on the original Cingular network (like in the SouthEast USA) will not get the roaming icon.
I used to get the roaming icon on the original shipping TyTN rom. But, when I upgraded to the 1.35 rom it went away. I haven't had the courage to upgrade to the WM6 rom yet...
Here is my update..I have Cingular...Tried both Vanilla and XDA live rom..bouth show the roaming icon. I then switched to the newer LVSW rom and I have no roaming icon for Cingular anymore.
I used to have the roaming icon on the original shipping ROM on my TyTN (oh, the memories).
with the 1.35 and the XDA-Live 0.2 ROMs, I no longer have the roaming icon. BTW, I am on radio 1.34 now.
I can't figure this out. I originally had a HTC TyTN that had the roaming icon whenever I used any of the HTC ROM's. If I installed any of the Cingular ROM (1.34 or 2.06) the roaming icon went away. I dropped my TyTN and shattered the screen so I went and got an 8525. It came with the 1.34 ROM installed and no roaming icon. I superCID the device and installed XDA Live v0.2 and the roaming icon reappeared. I then installed all the cabs in the extended ROM from the orginal ROM and stil no joy. I don't get charged any roaming fees so it's not that big of deal but I sure would like know what's going on.
The first time I installed XDA Live I had the same problem and then I installed the Cingular cab located http://www.htcclub.net/en/settings.php
I just did a fresh os install of XDA Live yesturday and no roaming icon so I didn't need to install that .cab..
who knows but I hope that helps..Oh and I had to shut off and restart..
I applied that cab and did a soft reset and still no joy.
first time reading this thread because I have had bith lvsw and wmxl v1,2, and 3 and never had this problem until today. It started as soon as I installed Magic X button. I never used it before and was bored, I will take apart the cab later and see if that install caused it. The only other idea is that since I was driving though the middle of no where It is possible that I roamed for a few minutes and now the icon is stuck on even though I am no longer roaming.
Edit- I am still traveling so did not look into that cab yet, but I did get rid of the roaming icon. I uninstalled the Magic X button but that didn't help It went away by going to settings..phone..services...get settings (i did that for each one in the box) then I went to network and hit 'Find Network'...Then I did a SR. At reboot the roaming icon was gone.
Between HTC, Microsoft, and Cingular all being wacky companies who knows what caused it. I will still look at the Magic X button Cab later to be sure it wasn't that.
this is driving me nuts!
Hi Guys, 1st post and maybe the worst?! I have just upgraded to the ARTEMIS TOUCH 2.1 WWE, and I forgot to save the File/Folder called O2 UK Settings, it had the O2 Ringtone and GPRS settings etc.. Could someone post a copy please. Many thanks, still finding my way round. V. Nice work though.
u mean these settings?
http://www.filesaveas.com/gprs.html
looks like all the wap + gprs settings for all providers in the UK
doesnt have the ringtone tho
No, I have seen this site on my search, I think what I am looking for was an actual programme that was found in the programme functions that took you to a blue screen asking if you wished to reset to o2 settings now.
hi guys i have been trying to get the internet working on my device for months i have been into the o2 store which was a waste of my time as no one had even heard of HTC even though they sell they rebranded products but i have been on various websites installed various cabs but to no avail i downloaded the latest settings here
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_provider_cabs
any ideas or has person managed to get o2 working on their hermes if they could tell me the settings that would be great and thanks for listening to my mini rant
I had a similar problem presently. I attached my setting for O2 pay as you go. If on contract the same setting should work if you change "payandgo" to "o2wap". I put my setting together from quit a few sources, if you want my source folder (4mb) will have to see how I can get to you. I'm not sure if i can attach that size of file. I had a bit of a problem when it came to me setting the time format and zone, in the end I set them via a time.cab which was made with wince and altering the reg setting in the program. You'll have to pm me if you want to no more about wince.
HI, I am just starting out with the flashing of ROM's on my Telstra JasJam. I actually went to a Imate Ultimate 9502 and put the JasJam back in the box but after that failed and went back to Imate for repair, we all know how "quick" they are at repairs I pulled the JasJam out and went looking for a new 6.1 ROM for the JasJam.
I found CRC's ROM and flashed HardSPL before flashing, got CRC's 13.3 stable normal ROM on and all was going along great.
Issue I am having is when I go to the Telstra WAP site to access my Foxtel subscription I get a different telstra homepage. It is the old blue and white checker page that has icons down both sides. It is not the new homepage that has the icons with "free to browse" and "foxtel" tabs.
I installed the Telstra 5.5 cab and the My Place cab which didn't fix the issue. After a lot of looking around and reading I found the streaming URL for Foxtel and when I try to access it is says that my handset is not compat and to call Telstra.
It reminds me of the time back in WM5.0 when Foxtel first came out and the JasJam did not support it, it took an update to fix it.
So I am leaning towards a radio?? version issue maybe???
Can anybody help?
I PM'd CRC himself and he pointed me here.
Can anyone shed some light, had the same problems?
thanks in advance..........
I'm not sure of your exact issue, but it wouldn't be in the radio.
I'm guessing they might be using a proxy. My provider has a proxy to access their internal pages, and without it enabled it just never shows them. I'm on Cincinnati Bell.
Hopefully this will help you search, or someone using the same network will chime in.
Thanks for the reply.
Yeah Telstra do use a Proxy and you can set it either with their software package or via the network connections. I am doing this as without it you can't even get to the Telstra homepage.
Turn the proxy off and the Telstra homepage times out .....of course!!
But this is where my issue is, with the proxy on the homepage that loads is not the current one even though I am getting the http://wap.telstra.com/wap site via the "Telstra My Place"
Over night I flashed my spare JasJam, I purchased a JasJam off ebay for
"el-cheapo", its been abused but still works OK, and loaded the official WM6 on it. Put my SIM in and got straight to the telstra homepage where I can access the Foxtel website and the "free to browse" tab.
I can only assume that is has something to do with the radio.
Can somebody please explain the radio and how it works. I am struggling with this part as I am unable to find any good info on it.
cheers
The radio just handles the packets of information. It doesn't have anything to do with where the info comes from, or goes to.
Just like a different network card, or, network card firmware won't get you to a new web page.
I'm sure it's something to do with a network setting or proxy setting.
Hopefully someone on Telstra can chime in.
OK, so how do I understand 2 JasJam's with exactly the same settings via Proxy and network setup go to 2 different web pages?
I put WM6 on one and then insert my SIM, I get to the correct page when you browse the http://wap.telstra.com/wap and then I put CRC's ROM onto the other with WM6.1 and insert my SIM and then get to the incorrect site.
So I thought, as a wild guess, its the phone. So I did the opposite with flashing. I flashed the JasJam that had WM6 and was getting to the correct site with CRC's ROM and as I suspected I could not get to the correct site.
The error message tells me my phone is not compat with the service. I put the WM6 ROM onto the JasJam that could not get to the telstra WAP homepage and yep, it worked flawlessly.
It must be something to do with CRC's ROM, is there anyone else out there, PLEASE, that is on the NextG network and using CRC's 13.3 normal ROM and can get to the telstra WAP homepage that allows you access to Foxtel and the "free to browse" tabbed content???
Or anyone using one of CRC's ROM's, any version of WM6.1 that is working as it should?
Can anyone suggest a WM6.1 ROM that will work with Telstra Foxtel service?
Any help would be appreciated?
I know it all works on WM6.1 as I have, in the repair shop, a Ultimate 9502 that has no problems browsing the WAP site.
thanks again.........
Ahh, It might be something with the way the browser is reporting itself. That, I'm not sure how to fix. Might be able to use schaps advanced config to see what each of them are reporting, and try to make it match.
yeah I am unsure about that one. I installed Opera as well and get the same page.
This is definitely one for CRCinAU himself. I did PM him but he said to go to the forum. So far that hasn't been much help.
I searched for the other ROM you mentioned, schapp? I am not having much luck.
can you point me in the right direction for that, I'll give it a go and see what the differences are.
thanks for your replies. Seems that there are not many local users of the CRC 13.3 ROM on the Telstra network, or they don't use this feature and are unawares of it.
I ask again, if anybody can help with this one I would really appreciate it.
Can anyone tell me if they know of a WM6.1 ROM that is fully working on the Telstra NExtG network and able to use all the features provided by the "MyPlace" and WAP sites?
I cannot even look at any of the features on the WAP site, when you click on the icons to go to say, ringtones or movie info I get a web page error saying my hanset is not compatable. Very frustrating for such a lean, fast and app packed ROM!!!
cheers
Here is his xda dev post about it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=418151 but the download link seems to be broken or is down at the moment.
Here is my copy of advanced config http://www.filedropper.com/advancedconfigurationtoolv33
all kinds of settings in there, also, you should be able to load advanced config from crc's device update(should come in crc's rom).
I think you will find your answer Here you need to change registry setting for compatibilty issue
Regards
Thanks that fixed it. Exactly the issue.
Its funny I looked at that string before and tried a few different options but nothing changed. Knowing the exact string did it!!
Thanks to everyone who replied and thanks to CRCinAU for a very nice ROM, which is now working as I want it to.
cheers
