Ok, I am currently using Smarter (Not in the States right now), but it says it wont work in the States. I also have Pocket MSN not bad but only works with hotmail or msn accounts. I know Smartner is working on a US version, but no expected date. I have heard about Blackberry Connect for PocketPC but don't know when that will be released either.
I am looking for a program that works like smartner, configures the inbox and connects on its own. I dont really care for the web-based connectivity.
Does anyone know of a stable Pushmail program that can be ran from the client machine????[/b]
i'm not sure if smartner is available on the PocketPC but i've been using it on my SonyEricsson P910 while i've been using Blackberry Connect on both my SE P910 and O2 XDA IIs ... works fine ....
I have smartner running for the pocketpc, how did you get the blacberry connect running, does your server support it? when i get home i know my company supports blackberry so maybe that is a possibility
Using Smartner
I'm using Smartner in Canada, you should have no trouble south of the border.
Go to the Smartner Support site and download the cab and destop apps. Works pretty good. It's not BB, but not bad.
difensore: could you ease post the bits for the blackberry connect for pocketPC?
it would be greatly appreciated by all on this board!!!!!!

Hello, can anyone tell me which Artemis variants have the blackberry connect, and if any are planned for the Orbit or similar... Thanks
Here in the Netherlands is an Blackberry Client update available at the T-Mobile site for the MDA Compact III, it is not included in the latest ROM though (9/22/06). I'm not sure about the language, everything else is in Dutch and since I don't use Blackberry I didn't download the update
Htc P3300
Bbc 2.1.2.31

Anybody was able to run BlackBerry Connect (any version) on Artemis ?
Any response is highly appreciated.

Which OS version (and build) as well as which version of BBConnect do you use ?
The versions are:
OS 5.1.342 (Build 15096.3.0.0)
BB-Version 2.1.2.31
Transportversion: 2.1.075
Systemversion 15.43.288.147
I don´t konw what kind of problems do you have.....but I use BB since 4 yaers and I was very surprised that BB became newly form on the Homepage of T Mobile.
I had to register me newly, I had to establish my address newly and which still had to send me the service books repeatedly.
It work again good since then.
It will hopefully be ready at you soon, too.
greetings from Austria

I have a UK XDA Orbit and I have the same OS version as you but
BBConnect:
2.1.2.16
Transport Version: empty
Rom Version: empty
System version 78.195.150.150
Device Type :ARTE20000
Blackberry Connect Desktop for Windows comes up with an error when I try to connect to my Orbit.
I had it all working fine on my old XDA Mini but I had to use a Vodafon Rom for it ...
I already asked here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=295499 and here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298713 and here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=289458
Any Hints or possibility for a copy of your BBConnect Software ?
Hi
I installed BB Connect on my XDA Orbit and it looked like it was going to work but when i went to Settings/Device Information/Identity, to find my PIN so i could change my device from XDA II to Orbit) it doesnt have PIN information! unlike my O2 XDA II which BB Connect worked fine on.
So i contacted O2 Technical help (they were as much use as a chocolate fireguard) but they say its not possible to work BB Connect on an XDA orbit.
If anyone knows a solution for this i would very much appreciate some help with this, i love my new orbit but miss my BB emails.
Wooley
Maybe we have to wait for this:
http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/news/index.cfm?newsid=9092
I still don't think that will work because you need a PIN & XDA orbits don't have that!
Iv started using a application called mail2web & works just like BB.
Look Here:

EDIT: Change the phone model to Tmobile MDA Compact III
Click on the menu to see more tabs, click on Software/Konfigurationen, on the left side click on Blackberry software, you can download the client and the desktop from there, the SW is in english.
Works for me on HTC-P3300
could you kindly tell me how you set it up?
Many thanks
device not loading
i have just installed the T-mobile BB connect client and now the device is not loading and is stuck on the splashscreen, can anybody help??
Hi,
I´m using the Artemis with the German o2 WM6 ROM. I am missing the RDC (remote desktop client), which was left out by o2 to avoid additional licensing costs. For me as an admin, this was one reason to buy the machine (my old MDA 3 had it so I did no expect something to disappear...). I am just wondering if there is a way to just copy it from some other machine. I would even buy it but I guess that´s not an option because Microsoft won´t sell it as a standalone product.
Any ideas?
Cheers
Chris
Try this
Thanks. Already found it too, but wasn't sure because some people reported having problems with the keyboard...
Works like a charm except for the fact that it does not dial if there is no GPRS connection running. But I guess just starting by hand is ok. Or is there a way to tell the client which connection to dial?
Thanks again
Chris
It's posible work the push mail ( Real Mail) in WM6?????
I need the push mail and browser, but don't work in any ROMS WM6
When open the browser only see the white screen and the mail don't work.
Thanks...
It works for me using either WM5 or any WM6 rom (LVSW / Mun / Faman ...)
I'm using an exchange connection. Push mail can work only with an exchange server (correct me if I'm wrong)

YOu are perfectly right. Push mail needs an echange account. And it works fantastic on any ROM I had (WM5/WM6)

Not just any Exchange Server either- it has to be Exchange Server 2003 SP2 or later- earlier ones don't have mobile extensions/certificates.
But, nonexxx, your lack of any mail, and a white screen in the browser suggests a failed ROM update. I'd consider reflashing the ROM.
Thanks I configure my mail with a pop3, and only don't work the realmail, my browser work good with my normal conection Vodafone GPRS but don't work with Push...
I think is incompatible with WM6.
Thanks.
The software I used is Vodafone Real Mail 5.5 ( Visto)
OK- thats a pretty specialised application. Voda are rolling it out as a competitor to BlackBerry, but its not in UK yet.
Do you have client software on the PPC, or is it all done server side via PIE?
Yes I have software client in my PPC is Real Mail 5.5 (2,5Mg) I need install for work and this software is vodafone.
I think the problem is the vodafone spain not accept my machine with WM6.
Thanks

That is quite possible, but have you double checked the Vodafone connection settings? It only needs a comma, or full stop in the wrong place to be invalid
At work I've installed a Kerio Mailserver (v6.4.0) and it works perfectly with Microsoft Direct Push, so you don't have to be stuck with Exhange...
Yes But I only work By VISTA the Real Mail 5.5 Vodafone.
It´s posible work my push vodafone with Kerio Mailserver (v6.4.0)????
Thanks
I have the same problem. Has anyone the original vodafone ROM that it is supposed to work?

Many thanks in advance.

What version of BB Connect are you using?
Can you give us a link for download.
Because I tried to install BB Connect on Dopod WM5 and it freezes my PDA
