Orange Switzerland has just released their version of the Universal. I purchased it with T-Mobile and I am currently looking for a Orange ROM in order to get Live TV to work (I am Orange subscriber).
Can anybody help?

Sorry the Orange CH-ROM is not available to public. You have to wait for the first ROM-Upgrade...

LiveTV on Orange CH
I called Orange customer support yesterday. According to the customer support it will make no difference if you have a MDA ROM or an Orange ROM on the Universal, the LiveTV service is controlled by the IMEI-number of the device, if the IMEI is not matching to the blocks that Orange has in use, the server will not recognize that you have the Universal and as matter of fact will not show the link to LiveTV.
But they promised me to investigate (first suggestion was to sell the device and to buy their SPV M5000 :evil: ).

does anybody has informations about this rom? Is it a fake? its located on the ftp. till yesterday I thought the last Qtek german rom was.

Es geht nicht um ein deutsches Sprachpaket für WM6, sondern um deas ROM WM5.

andere Hardware - T-Mobil bietet abgespeckte Hardware! Müßtest du z.B. auf Original HTC oder XDA Orbit umstellen.

Hi everybody,
I´ve got a problem with the new Wildfire of my wife... We bought it on ebay, what we didnt know is that this was a chinse Wildfire and only chinse and english language is available on it. Because the phone is for my wife and her english isnt that good, there is no way for her to work with it. Unfortunatly its got 2.2.1 with HBOOT 1.01.0002 with it, so no way to root it so far...
So my question, is there any possibility to install an european stock froyo with german language over the chinse version? If yes, how to do it?

There is a guide called something like "downgrad Guide 2.2.1 for Noobs".
Use the Guide it may help You
I used it also for mir Vodafone D2 Wildfire and everything went fine.
BUT use the unbrandet Firmware for your Handy .

Benutze bitte den Threat "Downgrading Guid for Noobs" oder so in der Art.
Wenn Du dem was dort steht folgst, so wirst Du erfolgreich in der Lage sein, die ungebrandete Firmware aufzuspielen.
Ich empfehlte echt die ohne Branding, denn brandings können schon sehr lästig sein
sollten Probleme auftauchen, so kannst Du mich gern per PM anschreiben, ich habe diese Downgraden schon mehrfach ohne Probleme durch.
Aber wie gesagt bitte per PM, denn ich möchte den Frieden hier im forum wahren, wegen "nicht englischer Sprache"

Is the HBoot S-on or S-Off ??
Rooting 2.2.1 is possible... no Problem .. if your HBoot is S-Off.
If you still got S-On you can only downgrade Your Firmware but there is still no way to root it with s-On

First of all I installed an app called "locale 2" from the market to change language into german. After that I changed the keyboard layout to german...
Right now my wife seems to be happy I´ll probably wait and hope the dev team brings out an hack for rooting 2.2 on wildfire... But thanks anyways!!!
