I'd like to buy a Qtek 9090.
I'm a french speaker, but I'm completely lost when the user interface has been translated. English is much more comfortable for me.
To be able to enter french characters, it was obvious to me that I needed the french version. Until I saw the AZERTY keyboard, with its unique accent key.
Does the english version have the 'accent key' too ?
If yes, do you see any reason for me to choose a french version ?
Mine has qwerty , without accent but with pound sign
I bouht it in holland (I'm belgian but hate azerty)
a good reason to buy english version is the value when you sell it in a couple of years. (you can't just flash another language cos the keyboard won't fo;;ow)
what's the key located at the left of the space bar ?
how do you enter characters like é ç à (with your hard keyboard) ?
btw i'm belgian too.
Hi guys,
I have the same problem, qtek 9090 received from work but in french !
I'd like to cook the rom to WWE but the hardware keyboard is the only problem...
For the moment, i didnt find a solution to remap or replace the keyboard. Maybe Qtek could provide it as a spare part...
Hi!
I've searched through forum and wiki, but it seems that this question always revolves around the Hermes Hardware Keyboard.
I've installed Schaps WWE English 4.30 WM6 ROM, and it works really great, the hardware slide-out keyboard is also in the desired layout (german QWERTZ) for me, and I don't mind the english OS otherwise... except:
The soft keyboard for entering text with the stylus has the english QWERTY layout.
It's not a huge issue, since I prefer typing with the hardware keyboard anyway, but I was just wondering if it was possible to use a german-layout SOFT keyboard on an english ROM, and how that would be done. Is there any way to do it, or is the soft keyboard tied to the OS language version?
(all the references I've found via forum search, wiki and Google seem to all revolve around the hardware, not the software keyboard)
Thanks in advance!

Thanks a lot Mister B, the keyboard is working fine.
The keyboard (KbdDe.cab) is fine, BUT it is increadible slow on my magician (WWE 2.03 TX ROM). I've searched the forum for a solution, but most threads are about problems with XT9, i don't think I've installed that. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot...
Problem solved: After a softreset everything is ok.

Hello all,
I have a problem with HTC TP2 since I bought it, few months ago. I think device is made for Swedish market and I'm running WWE ROM. Keyboard is standard qwerty and all the letters work OK, but after I press FN key to add a symbol (above number) it's not displayed correctly. Do you know how to change it?
Thank you in advance (and sorry for my English)
Hi, first poster and first time flasher, very exciting stuff, especially the pre-OC'd kernel, I love it
I do have a little issue with myONEv though, the ROM doesn't have a "Français (Cananda)" locale and it appear that all the other French locales have an azerty keyboard. Is it possible to add a French locale with a qwerty keyboard mapping, or somehow change the mapping without changing the language?
Thanks for your time.

Hmmm any French keyboard will work fine
Example m on India but English(dubai) works fine for me
Sent from my One V using xda app-developers app
Hi, thanks for the reply.
It's not that they don't work, the issue is that all the French locales use the azerty key mapping. In Canada we use the French qwerty keyboard, unfortunately right now I cannot get both a French system and a qwerty stock keyboard in myONEv. I can always use a third party keyboard like swiftkey as a workaround though.
sad man! have u tried googling it!?
